We're gonna be counting down our picks for the top 10.

Most expensive Pokemon cards I just heard about.

They're gonna jack a lot of these pokey man cards.

Oh, my God.

Squirtle for this list will be looking at the rarest and most expensive pieces of shiny cardboard in existence since the Pokemon TCG was created in the late 19 nineties.

We'll be using base prices as a guide, but we'll be including recent auction prices from eBay.

We will also be using graded cards as a reference points for anyone new to Pokemon trading cards.

A graded card is one that's been evaluated by a legitimate collectibles grading company like P S, A.

Or Beckett in order to determine and agreed upon condition and therefore value for each card.

A Gold Star.

The first card on our list comes from the 2005 set X'd oxes on his part of the coveted Gold Star line.

The backs alone for this go for over $300.

And if you're willing to open them, you could potentially pull a request, sir.

S, a 10 graded version of this card sold for a whopping $27,000.

If you don't manage to pull this powerful sky bees, though, you still have a chance that the Latinos Latinas Gold Star, which goes for over $1500 better than a kick in the teeth.

This is like one of the creme de la Kranz of Gold Star, but this is the best Gold star card You can pull Number nine first edition, Venus or guys.

It's a Venus or the first of three starters showcased on this list.

Can you guess what the others will be?

Venus or is an original starter that is a must for any collector in first Edition graded form the card confection between 5 to $10,000.

On a good day, aka October 29th 2020 this card sold for basically $50,000 American on eBay.

Why so much?

Well, this particular card is shadow less a particular print run of cards that did not feature a shadow on the right side of the Pokemon window.

That is some expensive cardboard.

Number eight first edition Blast Choice Blast toys.

Oh, when the very first Pokemon cards were released in North America in 1999 1 of the highlights was this so called shellfish.

Isn't it a turtle anyway, if you were lucky enough to pull this original starter back in the day, we pray you held on sweets and kept it in a sleeve.

Because First Edition Blast Toys cards are fetching close to $20,000 at the time of this video.

In case you're wondering, First Edition refers to the black stems shown on the left of the Pokemon and indicates it was produced during the very first print run of these cards.

While all the cards we've seen so far are incredibly pricey, at least they're somewhat in circulation.

The same cannot be said for Pokemon tournament price cards.

These cards were handed out.

Exclusive leads the tournament finalists and winners of international Pokemon events, meaning you can't just pull one out of a pack on Hunter Butler is your 2020 Dallas regional champion here.

The first of these is the master's key price card.

There are approximately only 30 of these cards in existence as they were headed out solely to competitors in 2010 Pokemon World Championships.

But if you did and got insanely good at it, you might have a shot at getting a number one trainer prize card.

Number four Congress Can Family event Trophy a baby Candace con it looks like it's injured.

Be warned.

We are now entering the six figure territory.

Fist up the Candace Can Family event Trophy card.

A prize for participants in the Parent Child Mega Battle tournament in 1998.

This magnificent looking card features Papa Kangas on his baby on appropriate prize for a family themed events like the Master Key and Ishihara Ogx Trophy.

Congress Gun is in the Holy Grail category of collectibles, and there are under 50 of them in existence.

Worldwide, only 11 exists in P S, a 10 condition, one of which sold on eBay in October 2020.

The current price.

A cool $150,000.

Time to start building those tournament decks.

Number three Trophy Peek a choo Theo NextCard.

On our list is the trophy card toe end all trophy cards presented to winners in the very first Pokemon TCG tournament in 1997.

The trophy Pikachu exists in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place forms, but all three are remarkably valuable.

In 2019, a third place iteration sold for 100 k after the hobby exploded in fall of 2020.

However, you could bet this card is soaring in value.

At the time of this video, it is listed on eBay for one million.

It is a card so unique and unattainable that fake a k a proxy versions of it have sold for over $3000.

Number two illustrator Historically, prize guards didn't just go to winners of card game tournaments.

In 1997 Pokemon hosted the Koro Koro comic illustration contest, and winners of this event went home with the now mythical Peek a Choo Illustrator card.

A total of 39 of these are known to exist in the world.

And to give you an indication of their value, a grated vision of one sold for $50,000 in 2013.

Since then, you can bet the price has been climbing.

On October 2019, auctions or this piece of Pokemon history go for an astounding 195 $1000.

In the coming years, you can expect this card to be listed at 1 to 2 million.

Yes, this card is worth more than your house.
