I was at an election party in San Francisco.

Back then, everyone was expecting the first woman president off the United States.

For some reason, the unexpected happened and Trump won the elections.

Everyone was shocked is literally Michigan.

Your who stayed and I was even more shocked today.

It was supposed to be the best day for for progress, for women, for immigrants like me.

For women like my sister, it was supposed to be one of the best days for human progress and off course, Right after the election, the world changed.

The Paris agreement to fight climate change was canceled.

Immigration was limited, Muslims were banned and words like idiot, crazy, stupid became normal for a president.

If Jesus was alive today, he would have hated it.

It just feels like a lot of progress is about to be evaporated.

It's like everything you've built is gonna be gone in the next 3 to 4 months.

But now, four years later, we can say it.

Minorities like me voted like crazy, and their voice was her on.

Because of that, the Paris agreement will be rejoined.

The immigration system will be fixed, fearmongering will end in decency will come back.

No more calling people idiots, shit hole or crazy.

I know it's hard to believe, but this isn't about Republican or Democrat.

This is about decency, and decency is back.

Martin Luther King Jr once said the arc off the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.

Progress doesn't happen in one day or one year, and sometimes we have to take one step back to go two steps forward.

And the rest of the world are one step closer to progress.
