And yeah, first, we weren't sure about staying here because there was really mixed reviews.

Some really hated it staying here.

And it was reviews like the water was cold.

There was no heater or a C or the servants suck.

So it was It wasn't just like it was.

It wasn't reviews like, Oh, I didn't like it there.

Pretty bad reviews, so Yeah, but our options were limited because one, we have pets with us, our dogs And two we were booking pretty last minute.

We book just a week before we just decided, Like, you know what?

Let's just go to Mammoth Lakes.

Eso?

Yeah.

Although other hotels that we wanted to stay at or Airbnb s, they were all booked, but yeah, eso Then I looked into Sierra Nevada, uh, resort spot a little bit more, and I looked at other reviews like on because I think can be looked on Trip advisor trip advice.

So yeah, I looked on booking dot com.

The reviews weren't as bad.

I think the worst review that I saw in there was that the pillow sucked so I was like, Well, I could handle pillows.

So we're like, you know what?

Let's just book it.

Let's just go and see what it's like and way actually really like it bad at all.

No.

Well, I will say the room that we are in is recently up remodel eso.

They said all the deluxe rooms, not the bedroom.

But the bathrooms have all been updated and remodeled, so I definitely could see that the bathroom is gorgeous.

It does look brand new.

That actually doesn't look bad.

I feel like the photos online.

Don't do it.

Justice.

Yeah, looks better.

Yeah.

And I actually like the decor that they did because they call it, uh, rustic luxury.

And it really is like that.

You kind of do feel like that.

You're like, Yeah, it is rustic.

And they kind of have, like, this vintage by two with these old school posters from before or so.

I kind of like what they did there.

You know, they didn't cover it up with all these modern things and be like now we're, like, all modern.

They still wanted to keep the rustic feel to it and wanted to keep like, this Paul resort kind of thing going to Yeah, So I think they did a great job with the bathroom doing that.

But overall, I think the remodel is great.

The only thing I didn't really like is the They're a C or a C heater unit.

It doesn't work as well as I would like it.

Thio We were having trouble sleeping last night, like with temperature not really adjusting the way I wanted it to.

It gets hot, cold, hot, cold way.

It's hot, but then they would get cold later on.

So it's not one of those, like new, and still, it's like one of those wall units that are kind of old school.

So that's probably the reason they didn't really upgrade.

I would thank God, but I mean, still, it's nice to have that are not to have one of these things.

So anyway, yeah, I just want to give you a little tour of this room and show you what they upgraded and what kind of what they left as is.

And just to show, you know, like it's really kind of it's pretty good here.

Yeah, I mean more pros than cons, but You know, we started noticing little things because we've been here for one night now.

So what kind of like, you know, show you around and let you know what way?

Over here?

We have two queen bed, and I actually slept.

Besides the A C I actually slept really well on the bed.

The bed is actually a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be, because again, you know, I'm thinking about the reviews.

Like I was probably uncomfortable bed, but it's actually really pretty comfy.

Um, the pillows is a little weird because they have all different textures to this.

This is super soft.

This is This is still soft, too, but not a soft is that one.

And this was probably the most firm out of all three, so I just use this one.

I didn't bother me too much.

Yeah.

Probably prefer a different pillow, but this was fine for me.

I just thought it was interesting that they had three different kinds of pillows on the bed.

Um, what else?

Okay, so yeah, we're here.

They have an alarm clock and a lamp.

There's only let's see, there's three lamps in here or three different lightings lighting fixtures in here, and that's it.

So it's kind of dark in here.

Um, and another thing that they didn't have much of outlets.

So there's no outlets by the beds.

Um, no outlets across over the beds.

Except there was one, um, over here.

And I'll get to that in a second.

But most of the outlets were in the bathroom.

One of the things that really like that we mentioned earlier was there vintage five.

So we like that.

They added these metal art structures in here.

So this is, like, 66 with, like, vintage vibes going on and then back over here where the working desk is eso they have.

You know, this old school poster I'm guessing that used to be called the Sierra Nevada Lodge.

And you know, they have, like, this woman from the sixties or seventies King and yeah, I mean, I just really like these cool middle posters that they have, um, working desk here.

And I didn't bring, like, to my laptop because, uh, just in case I had to work this weekend, it's been really busy.

And then well, here's the dresser on a little TV.

I stuck it.

Then inside, they have a fridge and actually a microwave, too.

So if you have things you want to heat up, you couldn't do it in the microwave and then the fridge.

It's a little fridge.

We brought lots of water with us because they advise Everybody drink lots of water up here because the elevation is pretty high, not only for yourself, but for your dogs, too.

And then three drawers.

Where?

A store, all our dog stuff and other things.

And then, yeah, So here is another cool like metal.

Um, our piece that they have And then this cool cube looking thing or not, it's a dice eso.

There's two outlets right here.

Candy uses a combination of this and this to store her luggage on top.

Thio get things out.

So, yeah, that's about it for this room.

Uh, it's like a average hotel sized room.

It's not too big, it's not too small.

Um, yeah, I wish there was, like, a little bit more room for the dogs, but it works.

They also have free WiFi, and it works pretty decent.

Um, it's a little bit slow to upload if you're uploading things, too, Like Instagram or whatever.

Like Streaming is not so great.

But if you're just checking your emails and stuff like that, it works more like you find.

So because I'm gonna get some email, I mean, some reception I'm happy with.

All right, so let me show you the bathroom before we head to the bathroom.

I know if I were to go there, there's a nice mirror here, always like when there's a mirror where you can check out your outfit and not just your face.

And this group was really cool because we didn't know what it was at first.

But it was like that when we walked in so that he's always come in handy to hang up all our little things instead of just throwing it on the counter so or the dresser.

So this is the updated bathroom, and I really like how they mixed in the old with the new, And it kind of has, like, this interesting, rustic vibe to it.

The sink is synchronizing the spa e feel on.

A spots have sinks like this.

So you know, that's what they're doing.

They're kind of like we haven't been to the spot here.

I don't think we're gonna go.

Um, it's probably a great to stay here if you're skiing in the winter because I know I'm going to spot after a long day of skiing or something.

That's really great for them.

We're gonna relaxing your muscles.

So I'm kind of curious if this is like in their spot to, because their toiletries are actually really, really good at all.

The hotels we've been to this year.

I want to say these are the best toiletries we've had and I just like the quality, but just the design of it is really nice.

So they did a really awesome job with the toiletries.

Another thing we've noticed to recently.

A lot of hotels also limiting the amount of toiletries there giving.

And then they're just like you spent.

Even when we go like four or five star hotels, they only give shampoo, conditioner, emotion and anything else we've had to ask and call.

You know certain.

It's called Service Housekeeping.

We have to call housekeeping by here.

They give you everything.

They still give you the grooming kit, which usually has, like Q tips and cotton balls and nail filer give you the shower cap.

They also give you a makeup remover.

Wipes.

So that's nice.

I like having this.

Some hotels did some don't.

I love thes mirrors.

It's kind of light, you know, magnifies.

Actually, these were kind of dangerous for me because last night I was sitting here like plucking, and I'm I Okay, this job.

So, So anyways, because there is, like, literally one outlet on the floor over the next to the TV in the room, we have to charge our phones and everything here, which is kind of a pain, because I like to have my phone right next to me when I go to bed.

So my phone's charging here, and then the crystal wants to charge hers.

She does it here, and then we use, you know, this is the actually the straightener on back here is the closet, so there's no closet in there.

It's actually in the bathroom.

It's pretty spacious.

We don't you don't have a lot of stuff, so they didn't really use it.

But that's where the safe is.

There's a blow dryer.

That's about it.

Um, they don't have a coffee station, but we don't know if that's because of due to the pandemic, because I know a lot of hotels are removing.

Um, they're moving little items like that coffee stations from the rooms just to limit germs.

So it could have been here before.

I have no idea.

But in the end, me and Chris, I really don't care to have coffee in the room.

There's plenty of coffee shops around here walking distance, but I just go outside and walk with your dog anyways.

Showers Really nice standing shower.

There is no bathtub e love like it's clear doors shower.

And I like how they have something there where you can put your sucks.

I hate and if you put all your stuff on the floor, it's just such a drug, like have to bed down and get it all the time.

The water pressure is very very.

I want to stay weak, in my opinion.

But that could be because of conserving water, because I know some hotels do that.

They lower the pressure that help conserve water, so I feel like someone that it's really hard pressure like you're not gonna get that here, or at least not in this room.

So that was our room tour of this deluxe to queen bed room.

I will add this.

We're here in the summer.

Eso our experience is probably gonna be different compared to someone who comes here in the winter for skiing or snowboarding.

So I didn't notice.

Um, when you do come in, they do have lockers so you can store your you know, your ski gear or your snowboard your one of your snow gear, So that's really convenient.

I know that's something that's convenient for people who are into winter sports, so the parking lot was pretty plentiful.

We haven't had any issues with that.

Another great thing, too, is that they have a lot of restaurants and grocery stores around here.

Like literally.

The grocery store is right across the street and walking distance walking distance, and the restaurant is right next door, and there's like e thinking.

It's called Mammoth Lakes shopping mall area.

So it's like like small Yeah, this little plaza of little shops.

There's Rite Aid.

We also did a five minute walk to this awesome breakfast place called the Warming Hut, which has excellent pancakes.

So if you're into pancakes get some pancakes there.

Lots of stuff to walk around to Here, too.
