As tensions ran high over the unsettled outcome of the US presidential race in Arizona.

A crowd of President Donald Trump supporters, some armed, gathered outside an election center on Wednesday night after unsubstantiated rumors swirled that their votes for the Republican were deliberately not being counted.

Theo Roughly 200 mostly unmasked protesters were looking to keep the count going as the race tightened, with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden holding a razor thin lead over Trump in the critical battleground state.

Wearing Trump gear, the protesters in Phoenix turn their ire toward Fox News, chanting Shame on Fox!

After the news outlet called Arizona for Biden, the Trump campaign said the state is still in play.

But while those in Arizona demanded their votes be counted in Detroit, a different message from supporters of the president urging officials to stop the count.

City election officials blocked about 30 people, mostly Republicans, from entering a vote counting hall.

CNN and Edison Research later declared Biden the winner in Michigan.

Meanwhile, from Portland, Oregon, to New York City, protesters demanded every vote be tallied, and in Philadelphia Thursday morning, both factions appeared outside of vote counting center, where election staff steadily worked through a mountain of still uncounted mail in ballots.

Across the street, Biden supporters danced behind a barricade.
