CRYSTAL: On the road to... CANDY: Fort Lauderdale Beach!

CRYSTAL: Woohoo!!

I have driven past Fort Lauderdale several times. Never bothered and stopped by

so we were like, You know what? Let's go to Fort Lauderdale Beach and see what it's all about!

It's about it's about a 4 hour drive from Tampa so Crystal and I were gonna split the drive, two hours each

so it shouldn't be too bad. And Florida is super easy to drive.

Compared to California, it's a straight shot, a lot of rest stops and...

but the only thing is there's no mountains so the landscape isn't as interesting as California

but I love it.

What's up!? Come on in to our amazing suite!

We got an entire suite with a huge, huge balcony.

Ta-daaaa! Look at this view of Fort Lauderdale! It's so pretty.

And it doesn't stop there. It keeps going. It wraps all the way around.

Fort Lauderdale... I like the other side better but it's nice that we get the option of this side too

if we wanted to check out cars, haha... or traffic... if you want to see how traffic's doing.

But now, this is the nice side. I really like to be over here

so I can see Crystal and I having breakfast here tomorrow morning, just chillin...

Morning! We're gonna have brunch at YOLO. It's on Las Olas Blvd, like really close to our hotel,

at Riverside Hotel and brunch is like my favorite meal cuz I love pancakes.

I don't know if they'll have pancakes but something sweet they always have at brunch

so I'm really excited for that and we're gonna go check it out now!

Oooohhh hot fire... for hot Florida.

OMG that is like real fire, it's hot. That is HOT.

I got the house omelette and it's a special today which is the Greek omelet

so it's got all the nice Greek stuff like feta cheese, tomato

and I think he said basil? When he was talking about it it just sounded really good

so I was like, You know what? I'm just gonna have that. So that's mine!

I got the brioche french toast with cornflake crust... or it's crusted with cornflakes.

And I got some fresh berries and also got like two buckets of syrup that he gave us.

He must think that we love syrup because that's a lot of syrup.

And I usually don't like blackberries. I must have had really crappy blackberries before because

this blackberry is really good.

Look, I'm eating the whole one.

Mmm... wow. Yeah I think the blackberries I had before were like too sour or something.

This is just right. I can eat this all the time.

And they're healthy!

So just got done eating at YOLO and we loved the food and we loved our waiter, Joey.

He was awesome. Thanks Joey for being so awesome.

BUT everybody else in that restaurant was rude, unenthusiastic, had no emotion or were hungover.

And especially the manager. I don't know what her name was but she was in this blue shirt

and she was just so unfriendly and unwelcoming.

Welcome to our hotel room at Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach. It's amazing!

And here is our bedroom. We have two nice queen-size beds.

It's a nice-sized room and I love the wood floors here too.

Look at this!

This is um... if you wanna wake up and be like, Hey! I'm gonna go to the beach this morning

let me first take a look at it from up here and then go down there and enjoy it later.

So this is our last day in Fort Lauderdale and we're so sad to leave!

We are! We had a really, really good time.

Yeah, I had a blast. I mean, I didn't know what to expect of Fort Lauderdale because I haven't really...

I mean, we've both been here years ago but we didn't really explore it

so this time we really dove in and explored a little bit more of everything

like Las Olas Boulevard

we went to the museum which that I think was our favorite part.

The Stranahan House Museum.

I think that's how you pronounce his last name.

Sorry if we're getting it wrong.

Yeah, I mean the history of that... it was really, really interesting

so if you're into learning a little bit more about Fort Lauderdale and it's history

you should really, really go there.

Yeah, that's a cool spot and it was located right next to our hotel that we were staying at

and we didn't even know it was there because it actually is a historic house

so it's right in the middle of all these high-rise buildings

and yeah, it's amazing that they kept this one plot of land there and preserved it so that was pretty cool.

And then we got to the beach and we got this nice oceanfront view.

Conrad is amazing. This hotel is superb.

Yeah I mean... so prior to that, we stayed at Riverside Hotel and that was like right on Las Olas Blvd

and that was like really nice too because it was a historic, classic hotel.

and it's a great spot like next to everything.

It's right on Las Olas Boulevard so you don't have to take a taxi or a water taxi anywhere because

everything's on that street.

All the restaurants, clubs, bars, coffee shops... everything's right there.

Yeah, so then after that, we came to another scene which is like the Fort Lauderdale Beach area

A1A Beachfront Avenue!

And we're staying at the Conrad and it is beautiful here.

It's beautiful, it's calm, it's not noisy...

which we've been to Miami and it's a totally different vibe.

It's a lot more calm here. So if you like more of a calm, chill, ocean lifestyle, this is the place to be.

Mhmm... we really, really enjoyed it. We enjoy the more calm, relaxed vibe

so I think we like Fort Lauderdale way more than Miami.

Maybe we're getting old. We like this more chill vibe.

We are getting older too. Hahaha!

But yeah, the view is gorgeous. This morning we went out to take some pictures

but it starting raining a little bit because there's like a storm coming but at least we got to enjoy it a little bit

and we still have this nice oceanfront view which I'm in love with.

And if we get lucky and all of a sudden this storm disappears we're gonna go check out the pool

Yeah, but we'll see. Hahaha

Riverside Hotel. That hotel was amazing too.

They're both good for different reasons.
