Okay, the answer is yes, but I want to be very specific about what I mean by on my team.

If in fact, the NFL will let him play on the team is considering Antonio Brown.

And I'm a player on that team.

I want him on the team.

I, on the one hand, have been very skeptical that a B will last season wherever he winds up.

Because his history is, he hasn't, um, I was skeptical that he should even be given another chance this soon.

Yeah, he has serious legal, outstanding legal issues.

He's accused of some serious stuff.

Um, however, he hasn't been convicted of those things and even his bad behavior last year in the off season with the Raiders and the Patriots on the field or rather going into the Patriots off the field.

At a certain point, you have to ask yourself, Do you want to continue to punish people for bad behavior in the past?

Absent being convicted of a crime, do you want to continue to punish them or at some point in spite of their bad behavior in the past.

Do you want them to become functioning members of society in this case, the NFL Society, Right?

I think the latter.

I think we're better off if we try the ladder.

So So I say with reservations with, You know, with those concerns, yes, I'd want him on the team.

And Lewis.

The reason is this.

Those concerns aside, for a moment, the question is, is it going to help or hurt your team on the field?

Presuming you decide?

Yes, he should be playing is gonna help or hurt him on the field.

His implosions have not hurt his team on the field, even last year, where he imploded in two different three different places, right?

Even then, he steps on the field for the Patriots and they win a game and he catches three first downs and four first downs.

If you include the touchdown that he caught no on the field, he's always been devastating.

In fact, the first time he led the league in receptions and yards, 2014, his team won 11 games.

The Steelers won 11 games and then the next year 10 and then the next year, 11 in the next year 13.

In other words, when a B hit his prime and other things went right for the Steelers to, they became a juggernaut.

He is that special a receiver.

When I think of the greatest receivers I've seen, where the best the most consistently.

Excellent.

There's Jerry Rice, he's the gold standard.

There's Randy Moss, and I think Antonio Brown has a case that he should in his prime.

He should be in that category.

And Louis, one last seen on the field.

He's in his prime.

Yes, on the field, I think he helps your team.

Yeah, I kind of had two different perspectives on this.

As far as what I want him on my team.

I think back to when I was 23 24 25 when I was in in Cleveland when I was in Atlanta and I started thinking what I have wanted him on my team then, yeah, I probably would, because I know how hard it is to defend players like that and how players like that can totally flipped the fortunes of your football team from negative to positive with the in the blink of an eye because of just how good they are.

When you're up close, competing with and against players like this, you want as many of them as you can get, you know, because you don't really necessarily worry about all the other things that come along with it all the risk that comes along with it.

As a young player, I would have one of them as an executive.

He would just He would keep me up at night, night after night after night, day after day after day every time he left the building because it z kind of like then when he's not around the players like Tom Brady and the people who like Mike Tomlin when he was in when he was in Pittsburgh.

It's then when you start toe worry, and it's then where you start kind of weighing the risk versus the reward.

The reward, obviously, is that you have a Hall of Fame caliber wide receiver who can who can flip, flip a game in your favor at any point in time.

The risk is that he's undermining everything else you're trying to do for the other 52 guys or 53 guys on the roster that you just you start thinking.

Is it worth it?

Especially in the in the example of Tampa Bay, where they have long as everyone is healthy?

And I think that is what is driving this transaction in particular at the wide receiver position.

As long as everyone is healthy, not wide receiver room, Do they really need him?

Is it really worth it?

So that's why I said, When people ask me this question, if you're Tampa Bay, would you have signed him if I didn't have any injury?

Concerns of Chris Godwin hadn't fractured his finger If Mike Evans hadn't missed time, if Scotty Miller hadn't this time, or rather if these guys weren't working people who I was worried about, then no, I wouldn't have signed him.

But Bruce Bruce Arians himself said, Look, I owe it to this football team to make sure I had the best possible players on this team and make sure I go out and investigate anyone who could help us win football games because make no mistake about it, they're trying to win a Super Bowl.

So I think from a phone office perspective, I'd be worried from a teammate perspective, especially my younger self.

I probably would have wanted him on the team.

I am a Giants fan, and I wish the Giants would have hired Yuhas.

GM, I think, is a fan.

I'd be in a much better position several years ago, and and and so you know.

But I still disagree with you sometimes, like, right now I think you're looking at this.

Let's put it this way.

I look at this completely differently.

You're looking at it like, Do you really need a B?

Because if you don't really need him on the field, don't bring him on.

And I think that is the kind of intuitive conclusion you'd make.

But I reach a counterintuitive position here.

I think if you really need him, don't go near him because it gives him too much leverage.

It will incentivize bad behavior for him if he knows you really need him.

So when everyone was saying he should and this touches on what you said in the right situation, right, he has Tom Brady there, the right leadership and everything else.

If you went toe Baltimore, for example, because you think, Oh, my God.

Perfect Fit on the field, Yes, but to perfect a fit for Baltimore.

Too valuable for Lamar Jackson.

Ah, young quarterback who, while he has leadership qualities, is still a young quarterback who hasn't done it yet when the light shine brightest and a B would be pivotal on that team and it would give him a lot of power and all of a sudden the kind of constraints that are on his behavior now.

Damn, I left a lot of money on the table.

You know, my biological clock is ticking.

Like, How many more years am I gonna be in position to do this and make some money that sets me up for the rest of my life?

Because it's not like in his off time, where he thought he was bigger than football.

He wrote a play or a novel or, you know, like recorded an album that everyone like right he didn't do.

He didn't organize in the community in some way that he's got No, he's a football player, and so he has to know that that's the case.

You put him in a situation like, Oh, these dudes need me and I'm afraid, those restraints where the constraints on his behavior come off on the Bucks, where you have an embarrassment of riches in terms of receivers and offensive weapons.

For Brady and the leadership of a Tom Brady that I think works because they don't need him because he's a luxury.

He knows he's expendable.

That will keep him on the field, I believe.

Or better chance to.
