Steve Nash Bringing Mike D'Antoni as an assistant coach with him to the Nets Omari Stadium are already on the coaching staff is well, I mean, are you gonna go work with them because you were with this entire group during D'Antoni's sons time?

What do you think that Coach Mike could bring to the Nets.

First of all, I would never leave you guys.

I love you too much to go toe to toe any other NBA team.

But I love what they've done with this staff.

You know, Steve.

He's got coaching experience as an assistant coach, but not as a head coach.

When you are first time head coach, we always hear the word vet leadership for the locker room.

Sometimes you need that leadership for the bench, and that's exactly what Mike D'Antoni is.

He's a guy who's been there, one at a very high level in multiple places in this league.

And one of the most creative offensive minds are on a clipboard in terms of eight EOS under out of bounds side out of bounds.

So I think that, combined with he already has a familiarity with Steve.

He's already got a familiarity with Amar E.

This is a match made in heaven by the way email Udoka another great higher because this guy is gonna be a head coach in this league, sometimes soon.

Well, you nailed it on the head.

The one good thing is the familiarity he has with these guys.

Another thing is the trust.

You know, you have guys that you've been around your whole career that you trust and going into a new situations where you've never been ahead.

Coast.

That's important, especially in practices where, you know, Steve hasn't been in the fire yet.

Down the stretch, two minutes to go in the playoffs setting.

He needs guys in there who he can trust, that he could go to an actor opinion and emailed it on the head by bringing D'Antoni in.

Do you feel there's clarity on sort of who to listen to win and all of that stuff?

Well, they'll get that together.

You know there's not only player chemistry, there's coaching chemistry.

You know there's gonna be times where he lets D'Antoni lead or you don't go lead at times, you know, and then Stoudemire probably more into the player development, you know, but they gotta learn one another.

You know, when they get into the coaching setting, when they get in the training camp, when they get into the preseason games, that's where they learn each other, and it's gonna It's gonna take all year.

But eventually it happened, you know?

And another thing.

Another example.

We can use this look at Steve Kerr because he had Alvin Gentry had been a head coach in this league and have been successful.

He had Ron Adams, and then he had young guys like Jarron Collins, like Chris DiMarco.

And so what you would see particularly on is they would go out the commune as a group.

But then, when they come back to the huddle, Steve is the one delivering the message.

I expect the same type of situation, and, like Paul said, we're talking about practice is a different situations.

You might let different people leave.

Jacque Vaughn, remember, has the trust of that locker room as well.

So I expect Steve Nash the lead in a very collaborative way now.

When Mike was in Houston this past season, he said, people said, Oh, are we now because you guys do a micro ball?

Are we getting the seven seconds or last office back, and he said I'd like it to be five.

Do you think, Paul, that they're gonna play faster now under this group?

Well, I think they have to.

I mean, when you look at the way their team is built, they have a number of versatile guys.

They don't really need a big men out there.

When you could play K d at the four, the 53 Kyrie pushing the ball, Caris, Levert, then witty.

They have a number of guys that they can play fast would and open up the court.

So, you know, you gotta expect some of that to be brought back into D'Antoni's system that he had in Phoenix.

Not so much of what they had in Houston.

You know, they slowed it up.

So they have the player personnel to do that.

They're gonna play to their personnel and whatever that is, that's what coaches have to do.

You know, in Phoenix, we had we were blessed to have Steve Nash and we ran a million pick and rolls and he really dominate the game in the same way that LeBron has the ball in his hands here.

They've got a different situation because they've got two guys in K D and Kyrie who could do that?

So I expect the ball to move around a lot.

Mawr Uh, maybe so.

They even what we had in Phoenix, but again like Paul said, You've got the horses to run, you've got shooters.

And then even when you talk about your bigs, DeAndre Jordan and Jared Allen as a former assistant coach, Phil ever used to call it vertical spacing.

Those guys that can you set a screen?

Can you roll hard?

Can you catch?

Can you dunk?

And that's where having Amar E.

Stoudemire on that staff is gonna be huge.
