  • Tokyo has one of the best public transportation systems in the world, albeit somewhat daunting at first glance.

  • But it is amazing.

  • You could walk pretty much 20 minutes in any direction.

  • And boom.

  • There's a train station there less if you use Busses and it's all connected to the rest of the country through the high speed bullet trains really is something else.

  • It makes life in Japan incredibly convenient and accessible on.

  • I haven't used any of it in months.

  • E.

  • I think I've only taken one train since February.

  • E.

  • Don't miss it.

  • There are better ways to get around the city.

  • More fun, ways more interesting way.

  • Healthier way.

  • Tokyo is a lot smaller than most people think, especially central Tokyo.

  • You could easily walk from on E.

  • I came out toe yo, go through this morning to watch the sumo training and always enjoy swinging through this little park way.

  • Beautiful spot, isn't it?

  • But things in Japan are changing and it looks like I might end up taking public transportation again pretty soon.

  • You know what?

  • Mhm.

  • Look at this right here.

  • Which band talking about opening up the borders again for tourism the job offers have started to come in, and I've turned down most of them so far.

  • Don't get me wrong.

  • I do miss doing jobs.

  • In fact, I was supposed to be doing a photo tour across Japan with moment this year, and, uh, but I've also just really enjoyed having the freedom in my schedule to go out and shoot all the things that I like and want to share with you guys as well.

  • Bridge, especially, is a lot of the places I want to share right now are empty.

  • There's nobody there.

  • A lot of them are out of Tokyo.

  • In fact, I think this is the first non Livestream video I've done in Tokyo and something like three months, three months eyes it.

  • Time to move out of Tokyo E.

  • Things just feel safer outside of the city right now.

  • I want more details on Japan opening back up.

  • Let me pull that article back up.

  • So it says April ish talk of a health tracking app, potentially limiting the scope of areas tourists conveys it after entering Japan.

  • How did they even enforce that?

  • So it's pretty vague on the details.

  • Understandably so.

  • You know, early days and all that.

  • You would think that by this point we would all be pretty much used to living with a question mark hanging over basically any future plans.

  • But more realistically, it doesn't really get any easier, does it?

  • Luckily, there are no rules saying that you have to have perfectly adapted Thio.

  • All the change that's happened like I honestly think it's OK to struggle.

  • There's been a lot of challenge, a lot of sadness, an incredible amount of loss through it all, almost too much to even even process.

  • Honestly, if you've gotten this far with both your health and your sanity intact, you pretty much proven that you have the mental strength to survive.

  • It's a big deal.

  • You should be proud of yourself should be a huge confidence.

  • E e always worried about whether or not I'd be able to survive.

  • All the sponsored jobs and shamisen performances suddenly disappeared, and the shamisen performances, especially, are a huge part of what was making all of this possible.

  • But we're still here in some ways potentially doing better than we've ever done, really making the best out of it.

  • I guess it's eliminated of lemons and all that honest question.

  • What do you think?

  • I'd like to open up the comments section for a bit of discussion, respectful discussion.

  • But there's gonna be people who are super relieved that Japan's opening.

  • They're gonna be people who feel that it's far too early.

  • Are we ready?

  • Yes, E s.

  • That's the big question, but also beautiful day today.

  • Terrible, terrible data.

  • Wear a sweater.

  • It was freezing cold this morning, but it's been nothing but rain lately, so I'm glad I'm glad to have the sunshine.

  • A.

  • I've spent the better part of probably 40 minutes in this park, so peaceful here.

  • It's just the sound of the birds.

  • A little bit of construction every now and then, but for the most part, it's it's quiet and there's nobody.

  • There is nobody here, a beautiful day.

  • This is probably one of the things I miss the most about.

  • Living on this side of Tokyo is just knowing where all the little hidden nooks and crannies are that I can hide out without people.

  • I I missed that.

  • Also, this sweater is a Tokyo lend sweater.

  • I've actually secretly had merch for about a year, just hasn't been publicly available for purchase or anything.

  • I think it goes back.
