  • before we begin shout out to square space for sponsoring today's video.

  • I hope you're ready.

  • Google, Google, Google Everything in the world can be found on Google, right?

  • Wrong, because this year I went to visit countries around the world like Ecuador, Zimbabwe, Egypt and Tanzania on Lee to find people and places a would have been impossible for me to find on Google and that journey.

  • That journey starts in a small village in Egypt.

  • Guys, I think I've just arrived to the safest, most trusting place in the entire world.

  • It's midnight and all these shops are left unlocked.

  • I can eat anything.

  • Take any souvenir, get any dress from any shop and no one is watching.

  • This is a village in Egypt inhabited by one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

  • They're called the Nubians, and they live in unique houses by the Nile with unique clothes and a unique language that no one else can speak.

  • Where way for the rest of us.

  • It's hard to learn their language because it has no alphabet.

  • But the way these guys built a community where you can trust others with your shop and entire livelihood.

  • That is something everyone should learn from.

  • This'll is where we are in the middle of an empty ocean 500 m away from what used to be a beach.

  • Because here in Zanzibar, when it's low tide, the beach literally disappears four miles.

  • And because of that, this turns into a playground.

  • People go inside the ocean to hang out.

  • Kids go play tourists take selfie while others kite surf.

  • Locals go for long walks on the ocean.

  • Others go for motorcycle rides.

  • Animals run around and people make money by growing seaweed, lots and lots of seaweed.

  • Remember, all of this is in the middle of the ocean.

  • That is a real fish.

  • And before you know it, the fun is over.

  • High tide kicks.

  • People run back to safety and the water goes back to normal like nothing has ever happened on this beach.

  • That's one minute.

  • See you tomorrow.

  • Meet Gilda.

  • Hi.

  • My name is Gilda and I live in the dark.

  • Yes, in the dark.

  • Gilda lives in the beautiful Galapagos Islands on because she cares so much about nature, she tries her absolute best to reduce her waist.

  • She lives here in a house made entirely off bamboo sticks and volcanic stone.

  • Even the nails are made off.

  • Would she?

  • Doesn't use electricity to read at night.

  • She wears this on her head on sand.

  • Charge my battery, even the bathroom.

  • She separates number one from number two so it doesn't contaminate soil and water.

  • This is her entire collection of waste.

  • After three years, the fruit she eats, she plans the seeds back in the ground.

  • The water she collects from the rain and the salt I collect from the beach.

  • Gilda lives with a lot less than a normal person, but I feel like I have a lot more.

  • That's one minute to you tomorrow.

  • Nice guys.

  • I think I've arrived to the loneliest creepiest airport in the world.

  • I'm the only one at the Customs Lion Onley one at the passport.

  • Check on Lee one at the security check on Lee one at the bathroom.

  • My flight is the only one out of six total for the day.

  • I'm the only one waiting on Lee.

  • One of the gate check and the only one walking to my plane until I joined no more than 30 people flying out.

  • And it's on Lee 8 p.m. This is an international airport in the capital, often entire country Zimbabwe.

  • But this experience made me think maybe we should be grateful for busy airports because this signifies a healthy economy and a functioning government, things that Zimbabwe does not yet have.

  • Next time you're frustrated with long customs line at airports, remember, that could be a good sign.

  • That's one minute.

  • See you tomorrow, guys.

  • The point off this video is to make you go outside and explore the world on your own.
