good evening good evening guys greetings from bustling Hongdae Seoul South Korea

now if you've never been to Hongdae this is like the entertainment district of

South Korea this is where the youth walk for amazing food for craft beer for

shopping for entertainment for fashion you name it it's here and we're gonna

explore it and we're also going to be eating some Korean food hopefully we

have no idea what we're gonna eat to be honest just gonna walk around see what

we can find let's go explore Hongdae so Audrey

really wanted to come to South Korea obviously she used to live here and

because she couldn't she just had one mission for me I'm supposed to go to

etude house to find rosy tint lips so that's my mission I've been popping in

and out of makeup shops in Korea having no clue what to do and they don't sell

this brand it's only in this place so let's go see if I can find ursin makeup

let me try off the picture oh sure thank you so I wasn't able to find the exact

one but hopefully this one is close enough alright so right here we have

this game where you just throw darts yeah you hit the balloon yeah if you get

one you can get the smaller you know little dolls for you'll get a bigger

ones and you do all seven yeah you get a huge one I did three so he let me just

choose one of the medium-sized ones very cool right

your daughters are gonna love it okay what do you think of hongdae your first

time here I love it this is awesome it's very fun it's vibrant yeah so many

people I mean this is just awesome I really haven't been to an area where

it's just pure youth I mean I really I don't see anybody over 25 right now

we're old school yeah I like the wall we got here and we saw a place that does

bulgogi (불고기) we haven't tried that yet so that's that's something we're

considering the place is bustling it's just sprawling I remember when I came

here many years ago that there was one particular part where they had four

versions of it that's how big this place is

dude I loved it yeah like kpop dancing right there keep up dancing and now

we're entering this street as you can see it's like lit up neon lights

everyone up so I think we're gonna go get bulgogi (불고기) yeah it's starting to

ruining one like it's coming down to zero percent chance it says 0% chance

and now look at this guy that helps like it is oh my god let's go let's go a

delicious homemade bulgogi (불고기) alright we have settled on a place we're gonna be

having Korean bulgogi (불고기) one of the best things to have in Korea marinated Korean

beef oh my gosh I can't wait it's gonna be a set and so we have a few items have

arrived already right now we've got some rice which we're gonna have fryolater we

also have a meal coupe which is a Korean steel eat soup we have I guess it's kind

of a peach juice apparently it's good for your stomach when you're having

something spicy I've ordered a cop's Korean beer David it's as usual soju

I'm gonna try the beer I'm gonna try the soup then I'm gonna try the drink pop it

open so actually my last night you Korea a little bit sad you're not gonna have

some tree and beer gonna have some good Korean meet before I leave

let's try this ice cold refreshing typical Korean beer it's pretty light

but it tastes good it'll go great with the BBQ let's try the meal coupe this is

a seaweed soup guys and in Korea they eat this on the birthday - for your

birthday whenever you have a birthday you have your meal Kukoc it's a try that

oh yeah I love seaweed oh it's so good nice light broth lots of seaweed alright

let's try some of this I'm gonna pour one of your shot glasses you come to me

house out with the mission after the spikes yeah they say they'll happen

after this place I want to taste it right now ooh it smells good

oh wow super sweet peachy let's not do your peach juice oh look what's arrived

awfully good start guys and this is the star of the show told it's ready what

was added to this yes they put these like thick noodles they're very long

actually this like there's a high in China like buckwheat noodles yeah well

it's so good and I think the rice is for later once we eat most of this and then

throw on top yeah are you ready just dive in grab a piece grab him

this brow to the crunchy and delicious thing and this this noodle is amazing

all right they're big noodles huh Sam back in China so excited for this

bo-boogie I am just going straight for the bulgogi (불고기)

the marinated Korean beef next-level tender the sauce is really what makes up

this Korean beef is very thin slice mini it's very tender absorbs the bulgogi (불고기)

sauce very very well I should mention that bulgogi (불고기) was voted the most popular

food in Korea by foreigners it's very foreign friendly could have small overly

spicy has a little bit of a sweet taste so we're coming to Korean you're a

little bit worried about the spice try the Bobo game move wash this has gone

which is the rice cake I loved off everyday dog usually with dr. boogie but

I'll take it with this too mmm these have been cooked really well

very soft tarsiers it absorbs again I'm go for sauce tongue move on to the

noodles those oh that's not all going in the mouth

obviously no that's too hot that's great to go on just try the noodles like this

whenever I have a choice between thin and thick noodles I almost always both

there I find that thick ones absorb the sauce

is better and that's the case here so the only thing really left for me to try

now is the going down all the bean sprouts so I'm gonna try to get some of

this a little good too what it does is it adds a little bit from the crunchy

texture to this do this overall hobo game yeah this is a phenomenal meal guys

this is this date one we got the fried rice coming soon we got a work cut out

for us we're gonna need about huh another thing we're gonna put the fried

next up we have faced to bottom box basically gonna make seaweed the rice

and the cheese into this we let hopped it yeah let's do it later so the lady

came she started chopping everything up sprouts that she loved all the rights to

seaweed mixed it in then grab some more spicy sauce on top and then to drop a

bunch of cheese look at that huge amount of cheese everything started to melt

said one minute and everything's ready yeah and we're gonna get some burnt rice

at the bottom right this is what about those although look at that cheese guys

cook for a while hopefully it's burnt a little bit on the bottom because that's

what makes it taste delicious nor youngji but we'll find out

oh this rice rivals the one we have for the doctor babe we're not so not spicy

but the path of flavor she's breathing I mean I taste everything I taste a little

bit of rice cake a little bit of the noodles fried rice - seaweeds

everything's in them now gonna try a bit with the cheese huh grab some that

cheese look at that garlic she's losing with you if you

thought the first bite was good second bite with cheese ten excellent I'm

starting to become a fan I love it it's no good I would have never thought to do

that Korea's fried rice theme is top what a meal oh my god so good very very

filling all obviously we had some rice we had noodles but overall fantastic

meal and what a bargain only thirty six thousand eight hundreds of roughly like

32 US dollars for everything their entire meal all the alcohol in
