  • Hi, Vanity Fair.

  • I'm yours.

  • And this is everything I'm doing today.

  • Drop oclock every day.

  • Yeah.

  • I wake up at five am to take out my dogs because one of my dogs can't walk.

  • So I don't take her out at five AM Things happen.

  • Then I go back to sleep till about seven ish, usually.

  • And then I like to get up.

  • I have a bed that cools down my side of the bed, and I am aware that that is ridiculous, but it helps me sleep better.

  • And I used way less air conditioning on this other really good reasons why I have a bed that does.

  • That isn't just a terrible thing to say in public, but it also Well, it gets worse, doesn't it?

  • So then it lightly vibrates around my alarm time, and then it warms up to normal temperature.

  • And that allows me to wake up at the best time.

  • The best way that I can.

  • I like this better lot.

  • Okay?

  • I said also, other alarms are in case.

  • For some reason, my bed doesn't wake me up.

  • Well, God, I'm just losing fans by the second.

  • Thank goodness my dogs do have a morning routine.

  • They jump on my face.

  • Charlie will run circles around the room and literally run over my face until I get up.

  • Especially because he's a rescue.

  • So we can't really, like, cut his nails down as much as we want to, because whoever had him before didn't for so long, like Wolverine but in the size of a rabbit just running over my face until I get up.

  • So I get really quick.

  • Thankfully, chance you can't walk.

  • She does have a morning routine, so I feed her.

  • If you've ever seen the human centipede as she's eating at the same time, she is also getting rid of things she's eaten previously.

  • My morning bathroom routine, what everyone else does when they go to the bathroom, right?

  • Like I don't do it in a just like like anyone that is watching when you get up and you go to the bathroom.

  • That's what I dio not crazy.

  • I do that first and then I have a shower.

  • I have like two minute showers.

  • I'm not big on showers.

  • Also, I don't have any hair.

  • There's not a lot to Dio.

  • You get a lot done in two minutes in the shower and growing up, we didn't have a lot of money.

  • So my mom was always like fast showers, far showers, quick showers and then we had water problems.

  • We had, you know, we had droughts.

  • We were trying toe save water for farms and communities.

  • And then we had, like, all these things going on sweet water restrictions where they sent everyone's house.

  • A little timer, you would stick onto the shower and then you turn it upside down.

  • And that was how long you were supposed to have a shower for.

  • So now I think that's just still ingrained in me.

  • I'm just like on I come out, my friends, like, did you just like fake shower like kids do what they like?

  • I'm in there cleaning, totally cleaning high, and it's like you, kid, you smell.

  • I do actually have the shower, but I'm a Pisces.

  • I'm a water sign and I'm all about baths, so I have a bath every day.

  • I usually do that towards the end of the day.

  • Oh, I just run the timeline 57 later.

  • But don't worry.

  • There's way more interesting things that happened before that Stay tuned.

  • If I'm not working, I will just have a rebel like a mushroom coffee because normal coffee makes me just me.

  • Imagine you're seeing me right now.

  • Imagine me.

  • It was like seven coffees in my system.

  • But if I am working and and it's like 4 a.m. or whatever it is, or sometimes have a normal coffee, but I can only have one.

  • And all day I'm like a smoothie fruit breakfast person.

  • I'll do waffle sometimes, but only when Aiken like people, they're making waffles.

  • I don't do eggs.

  • I don't do tourists.

  • I don't really do any of the other fun things I do do.

  • Vegemite.

  • Sometimes I've run out, but it's really hard to find you because everyone in America hates bed.

  • You might should try it.

  • Don't try it.

  • You'll hate me right now.

  • When I decided I'm gonna wear for the day.

  • It's usually based on how I'm feeling like every other human in the planet.

  • And today I was feeling like this sweater would probably pop on camera.

  • Uh, didn't even bother thinking about the fact that it's 95 degrees.

  • So I would say I'm less practical.

  • Andi bit stupid sometimes, but it does look good, Does pop, doesn't it?

  • I like to work out at 10 a.m. During this time and then 11 a.m. When it's normal time, because there's no traffic right now and I go toe glove works.

  • It's a boxing studio.

  • Liens my trainer.

  • He's so awesome.

  • I like to do it early and straight up in the day because it makes you feel good for the rest of the day.

  • And then I'll eat.

  • And I usually eat something really light salads and protein tofu cook.

  • So on a workday I do all those same things.

  • But then I gotta work on.

  • I get Thio, be a different character and say things in front of a screen, kind of like now that I'm better at it.

  • Especially.

  • I just did a film Mississippi with Morgan Freeman, and it's been have a long since I've had that much social interaction and slash work.

  • You know, acting is a muscle and memories of muscle on the things that you kind of freak out, and they got it.

  • I forgot how to do my job, but it was a really great way toe transition back into working and working.

  • You know, under these new kind of guidelines, some of the things I like to do with the other breathing exercises made it like a short meditation, a focused meditation.

  • I journal.

  • I should add that to the other.

  • Yeah, earlier, before we went to work a journal in the Morning Journal for three minutes.

  • So I usually journal for the character on Ben.

  • I could kind of look back on that journal as the character and see, like what my intentions are that day or what she would, how she would react to something based on her past.

  • Sorry, her past life, all the things that she's been through that might not necessarily actually being the script.

  • You create a back story, if your character and in doing so, I journal.

  • And then I look back at the journal and kind of can remember like what this person's been through.

  • And sometimes it's not in the script.

  • So your character starts when she's 30 or when she's 20 or, you know, hopefully not much older than that for me right now, guys, I'm still in my thirties from a prime, and that's how I usually prep.

  • I don't spend a lot of time on my farm.

  • And when I wanna look at the news or read news, all either watch the news or I like on my TV or on my computer.

  • I'll read the news, but I get it away from the foreign so that the foreign can not feel so like a little wormhole.

  • That's why I love wearing watches so that I don't always go to my farm to take the time.

  • It's like I got my watch.

  • I get the time if I got my farm and I get messages a lit This is happening.

  • Oh my God, Oh my God, I I we're all gonna die.

  • So it's a nice thing to do just to not only find that much, and now I use it to face time, coal and texts way more than I used Thio, whereas it used to be kind of social media and news, and that's bad about it.

  • I wasn't checking in on people as much as I do now, which is it's nice.

  • I usually journal again at the end of the day, about sort of so in the morning I'll set the intentions of how don't want my day to be.

  • How was my day yesterday?

  • How could it have been better?

  • Or how could it not like putting pressure myself?

  • Just what could I have done differently?

  • Or what was some of the things I really loved about yesterday On the night time, I kind of reflect on the day and think about the things that made me happy.

  • The people that made me happy.

  • It's always a small things Like someone buys your coffee or a friend you haven't spoken to in years hit you up on.

  • And I like to remember those things before I go to sleep.

  • This is a problem, right?

  • Like when you live alone with three dogs and none of them know how to cook, You have to cook every night.

  • Did you know that?

  • I didn't know that.

  • They also don't pay rent and I don't know plane Like if I knew this like what?

  • I should have known this e would have no dogs.

  • Just kidding.

  • Dogs, dogs or everything.

  • But they don't cook.

  • So I do.

  • And I love cooking people don't think I cook.

  • And then I recently I had some friends over and cooked this whole vegan situation because cooking for one person isn't quite as fun as cooking for a group.

  • And literally, they were like, You can cook don't want We've been friends.

  • What do you mean?

  • I can cook?

  • Of course I can cook that you're cooking all the time now and literally now I'm cooking all the time.

  • I should I should have made a bad meal.

  • Sometimes After dinner, I will do a zoom date.

  • I mean, friend thing, because Zoom date, you can do with your friends and your mom.

  • So I do like I have a zoom date, friend, date, whatever date, whatever you guys want to think.

  • And I'll have either my camp quarantine people or different friends and watch a movie together.

  • So, like you said the computer up, you have to push play at the same time.

  • It's kind of like being back in school when you used to have thio.

  • I'm aging myself anyway.

  • It's fine when you wanna record Music's on a cassette and you had to wait till, like, the ad was over on the radio.

  • And then you're like record.

  • You have to wait to the end of the song and you like stuff.

  • So it's like that you have to push play at the exact same time.

  • All the sound is off, but it's really fun.

  • And I like doing that more than just if I'm gonna watch stuff by myself, I'd rather read a book or read a script or play guitar play piano.

  • There's like a lot of things.

  • I've got some craft tied I There's a million things that I would rather do than watch another program by myself after six months of, you know, having done that on and off.

  • But I do think it's really fun when you do it with a friend.

  • Unless they choose the movie and they choose bad ones, that sucks.

  • I usually go to bed around 10 11 ish.

  • Depending on that, if I've worked, I will go to bed straight away.

  • Like if I've had a really big day over the early morning or night shoots, I'll just pass out usually.

  • But if I haven't, then it can take me a minute to fall asleep.

  • Maybe an hour.

  • That's when already, like a boring book or re read a script.

  • They've already read 10 times have you seen my brain?

  • It's only worse when I'm sleeping.

  • I dream I dream a lot.

  • I remember them vividly.

  • And also, if I have a dream, I tend to write them down the morning because some of them, I'm sure they like full blown films like whole Like They're chronologically.

  • They make sense.

  • There's great character development, some of them action.

  • Some of them have true headed horses.

  • And I'm like this.

  • This this is an idea.

  • The problem is, if you don't write it down fast enough, it's like the memory is leaving your brain as you're writing it.

  • So the horses, they had two heads hit, and then where was Oh, and then you're like missing a character, never gonna get that one back.

  • But I do think that every idea starts with a smaller idea and you grow on them.

  • And a lot of the ideas.

  • Maybe not the two headed horse, but there's some good things and actually break free.

  • A short film that I made came out of a dream, and a lot of the music that I make has come from a dream is well, so that's everything.

  • I hope you enjoyed watching that, Aziz.

  • Much as I enjoy telling it, I wish I could have told you more exciting things.

  • But I did bring up a true headed horse.

  • I does have a point for that.

  • Thanks, guys.
