  • M: Ugh yeah S: Oh Baby BOTH: OH MY GOD UH

  • Simon: This is the hardest part

  • of filming an ice cream video,

  • it not melting when you are done.

  • So Some of you might be saying: Hey Simon and Martina! this is

  • the second dessert video that you filmed in a row.

  • To which I'm going to say,

  • "You know what? Today I drink KALE!

  • So you know what. I deserved this. I put

  • kale in a blender with some water (gross) and

  • pulverized and I drink it

  • I had a sad ass morning. (that face doe) M: It was really gross.

  • Simon : I am gonna have myself some ice cream today. Oh my God!

  • M: you guys might be wondering a video

  • on ice cream.? self - reflection music?

  • without it being like a special cherry

  • blossom video or like halloween special.

  • This is -I can honestly tell you guys- S: Without a doubt

  • M: without a single ounce of

  • insincerity, the best ice cream I've ever

  • had in my whole life.

  • S: This is crazy good! M:When we first had this,

  • this ice cream we thought it was

  • actually from outside of japan and was

  • just like an import item likeagen-Dazs

  • or something. But then we start dig into it

  • and do some research, and it turns out that

  • this crazy amazing ice cream is

  • straight up Japanese and it was under

  • prototypes since 2010. S: There is a science

  • behind this ice cream. It is the perfect

  • soft serve ice cream M: uh huh. So

  • here's the dealio; I kinda went

  • information spiral. I just spent like way

  • too much time on the internet finding

  • out about this. This ice cream has so

  • much research behind it, because they [Cremia] wanted

  • to make an ice cream that was so rich

  • and heavy. That when you eat it it feel

  • like your almost licking whipped cream but

  • not in a way that your mouth is

  • coated in a gross way. S: because if you

  • drink heavy cream

  • not-not-not that I've done it. Shut up. if

  • you do drink heavy cream

  • it tastes really, really heavy (applause)

  • M: most soft serve ice cream comes in at eight

  • percent fat content

  • Cremia comes in at 12.5 percent

  • S: That's almost fifty percent! Wait no !

  • That is more than 50 percent more! M: I mean I am not a math person, but 8 plus 8

  • isn't that like 14, 16, or 18, 19 (ugh)

  • what I am getting is they wanted to make

  • soft-serve ice cream that was as rich than

  • normal ice cream. But here's the problem,

  • they went through over four hundred prototypes

  • because they said the mouth feel of

  • creamy ice cream was too much. But they

  • perfected it and the cone. Did you know,

  • S: I didn't.M: That they went through

  • months and months of research to get the

  • perfect cone. They tried waffle cone, they

  • tried the normal white cones that you get

  • when like your little kid. They

  • eventually came up with thier own version of

  • cookie cone because they said the cone

  • needs to match the richness, and when you

  • bite into it the cone falls apart in your

  • mouth like a short bread. S: It almost has

  • like a brightness to it almost like one

  • lemoniness that kind of cut the creaminess

  • of the ice cream and the taste of the ice

  • cream itself it's just it's almost like

  • cheese. I know that doesn't sound appetizing

  • but it will almost M:like a brie S: It

  • feels like a cheese. It's so rich and

  • velvety. M: Every time someone visit us in

  • Japan. We are like here is some sushi, here is some good ramen. Ok

  • let's just go for ice cream and we always

  • take into Cremia. S: What's great about this

  • is that it's not just one location

  • this is just like a brand of soft-serve that

  • become popular around Japan. If you are

  • coming to Japan, treat yourself to the best

  • soft - serve ice cream M: Now Simon has the

  • plain one. He has the traditional one

  • but the second one I have has like nuts

  • and caramel in it. And they tend to have

  • like a special one that will pop up. So I

  • think last year was a coconut one. S: Oh yeah!

  • M: I prefer the plain one just because it

  • is so perfect. S: And to be honest whenever

  • I go to an ice cream shop I never want

  • just the plain vanilla ice cream. You'll

  • always want some kind of special flavor

  • that they have. Cremia Ice Cream

  • is perfect. You might be saying

  • Hey Simon or Martina! Is the commercial? Are

  • you paid by Cremia. No we are fu? not

  • I wish we were. I love this ice cream for

  • dessert the way I love Coco curry for

  • savory foods. M: But Cremia if you're looking

  • to hire looking for someone. I will

  • swim in your ice cream if you want me to.

  • M: But you can't because it so thick. Because

  • 12.5 percent. S: I like our

  • jobs. How we are "like what you want to do

  • today"

  • Well how about we go film some ice cream

  • and that's my job really.

  • Go eat some ice cream and film it.

  • M: then I edit it. okay S: oh yeah editing part too.

  • M: Yeah that whole thing. ⏳Time Warp

  • ?Meow Mix Song?

  • Video Editing Sad Music

  • M: You know who is going to be disappointed about the video? S: Who? M: Dan

  • M:Dan is an ice cream monster S: I actually asked him

  • to film. I said you want to come and he

  • yelled at me because he's actually in

  • meetings all day and he can't skip

  • them. So he is at his meetings and we're

  • eating ice cream. Hey Dan,

  • what's more important, business meetings

  • about the future of the company or

  • eating ice cream? Dan if you were to

  • come we would have given you ice cream.

  • We would've paid for your ice cream.

  • You know what? I would've paid for two ice creams.

  • That's how generous I am.

  • SAD DAN MUSIC

  • What the difference

  • between a shit ice cream and a good ice cream?

  • Shit ice cream made of barely of milk.

  • They are like ice crystal. You know

  • when you get really really cheap soft serve and you lick it

  • and you're like it hurts tongue. S: it

  • cut your tongue with all the jarring

  • crystals of ice because it's so low

  • quality milk, not with this. M: yeah

  • S: this is all cream baby. M: Just guys, when you

  • try it please let us know send us a tweet or

  • facebook or leave a comment message

  • because you guys are going to be like: " oh

  • my god guys this is so good"

  • for any of you that have tried from Cremia Ice Cream and if

  • you can tell me that you've tried better

  • ice cream somewhere else. Tell me where you

  • live and I will fight you. All right, I

  • will fight you to the death. M:Will you though?

  • S:I won't because I'm not a fighter. So that's

  • it for this week's food

  • adventure program for awesome people. How

  • about next week we go for lollipops?

  • S: We are becoming a dessert channel. M: Where are we going to get lollipops?

  • M:We put up two videos on something sweet. We have barely put up

  • any sweet video. S: True! We mostly do savory videos.

  • S: I'm glad we did something sweet. M: Yeah now let's

  • go work that off with kale shake

  • M: I feel sad. S: UGHHHH Gross!
