- Have you got boring things to do?
Well I've got the video for you.
In this video I have decided it is time
for me to clean my fairy garden.
If you guys don't know what I'm talking about
I have a kitchen ledge
that's just been covered in tiny amazing toys
that I've been gathering
in the past four years in Japan.
And someone once asked me like,
"Oh my gosh, like how do you keep it clean?"
And I was like, ah.
To answer your question I don't keep it clean
so, I have never cleaned this garden.
I have like, gently woofed away dust
by opening the window and being like, woo,
but I really don't think that counts as cleaning it.
So, I have taken everything off the ledge.
Whoa!
(upbeat music)
I wanna show you guys all these
different kind of fairy toys that I have
and I'm going to clean them.
So, here is what I got.
I went to Daiso, which is like the Dollar shop in Japan
and I bought these.
(upbeat music)
Really, really cheap, one dollar horse hair brushes.
Yeah, these seam pretty good.
Blower brush, it's what it says on it.
While dusting them.
Hand pump buddy too.
This guy's used for cleaning our cameras.
I also have this little lens pen
which my dad got for me a long time ago for Christmas
and it has this little brush that comes out
that's quite firm
and I think good for lens cleaning in fact.
And then last up, I've got this Mega Air-can Blower.
Now, this has been suggested to me
by lots of people
but I discovered that it like,
blew my toys across the galaxy.
Daiso, the dollar store, these little pointed ones.
Pointy edge right there.
So, it feels like I'll be able to like,
get up all in those little creases and stuff.
Okay, so I realize now
that the fastest thing to do is to separate all your pieces
that could cause problems in water.
So for example, fuzzy Pikachu here.
My clay figurines I've removed
as well as anything with tiny labels on them.
If I take all that out
and then I unceremoniously dump everything into warm water
with dish soap and fluff it around
and then I pour it into,
like a tray with this little protective area here.
It's just so much faster.
So, I have all this stuff that I bought
that is for literally nothing.
He is absolutely amazing.
He looks like a cute little soup dumpling.
Look at him, it's really detailed.
And for those of you who don't know,
I had two dwarf hamsters growing up.
One's name was Bear and one's name was Moka,
and by growing up,
I mean I was a full grown university student.
So, no judgment from you there.
Oh yeah, looking all clean and pretty.
This is Nigiri Cat, I love them,
they have a whole bunch of them.
This one's very expensive with the lobster on the back.
Okay this one is funny.
She is extremely popular,
now you might be like, what the heck is going on here.
Well, this girl does this thing
where she's always kind of hovering in your glass
and she's gonna fall over.
It's very popular in Japan,
even before I came to Japan.
So, it looks like this.
So, can you see she's like, half in, half out.
And if I turn it around this way,
you can see that she's like trying to climb out.
It feels to me like,
I've essentially just need tiny rubber gloves,
because I have been just doing dishes.
Let me tell you guys, dish after dish, after dish.
SO, I think what it really comes down to
is just drying each little dish and putting it back in,
so that it's ready to go.
Ooh, what shall I begin with first, so.
Ah.
You know what?
Feels a little sticky.
Sticky!
And now for some music free ASMR.
- What is it that happens here?
(plate clinks)
So, this is a very special bento box.
It's actually a Sailor Moon themed one.
It's Sailor Jupiter
and I got it at Nakano Broadway.
They have a store where you can see,
opened up packages and so you can pick in advance.
It costs more than buying the box that's unopened
but it will cost a little more,
if you know what you're getting.
So, people who want to complete their collections,
that kind of stuff.
So, I got this little tiny box
because I love how Sailor Jupiter is so into cooking.
It even comes with this tiny little utensil set on the side.
Ima close it up there
and I have to remember, what goes inside of this.
You know, I'm not sure
'cause it's just so tiny.
So, inside of here I know
that she's got these really cute, little, tiny onigiri
shaped like stars.
So, that goes inside there.
And she definitely has
this cute, little, tiny hotdog.
Goes in there too.
But I must be missing more than this,
'cause she doesn't just do sushi.
I don't know, I kind of feel like,
I need to shove in a tart or a pie.
So, maybe I can go like this
and then, can add the hotdog on the onigiri side,
like that and then I can put in the pen.
Oh yeah, very Sailor Jupiter.
And then, we have to decide
which one of these goes inside here.
You think this fits in here?
Maybe, but I don't know.
We're going with this
and she's got a tiny thermos as well.
Isn't it the cutest thing ever.
This is freaking ridiculous,
like, are we looking at this right now?
Look at just how detailed and how tiny these are.
Aren't they absolutely amazing.
Just finishing up drying a couple of the food items.
I see now, that I definitely should have
started on the food first,
because you have to clean the plate first.
Like, this is the Hello Kitty hotplate here for okonomiyaki
and we've got the okonomiyaki,
which is the little pancakes.
We've done videos on before.
I can put them in the center there,
see how nice that looks, right?
And, it has a little, tiny flipper
so, you can take it out.
I absolutely, I just absolutely love it.
And then, you can put the lid on top of it,
like that.
But I need to clean this lid
'cause it be sticky.
This is another favorite,
this is Gudetama.
So, this is the, I can never say it properly,
it's like, cha-ha-mamboshi or something.
I actually have one in the fridge right now.
So, this is just the plate that it goes in.
It closes up like this.
And then drop it inside
and I'm going to get Gudetama,
who is dressed like a sumo wrestler, absolutely amazing.
And he goes inside, like that,
so it looks like he's chilling in the bowel.
Haha.
And then it has this little like,
side thing that you can put on the side
or he can sit on it.
But I usually just put it off to the edge.
This is great because it's got inside of it,
like a mushroom and a little fishcake
and then that is all egg.
If you haven't tried this before it's really good.
Picking up all the dried furniture.
I have all this little table furniture
which is how I try to keep things looking more like,
kind of like a village or a garden
or outdoor picnic and I try to change the themes.
I have like Wintertime themes and Summertime themes.
But, it just got so crowded
that no themes happened anymore.
But this very small chair as well
and I have a very tiny table.
This table actually, if you can check the details on it,
is Rilakkuma.
Well, I cleaned that lid, look at how glistening
and clear it is.
So, that goes on top of that
and we've got some wonderful okonomiyaki.
Interesting plates here to choose from.
This one here is definitely a sushi plate.
So I have tiny pieces of sushi
but I also have.
Put that down there.
Sushi plates.
Put on my sushi.
It's so cute isn't it?
And this, oh my God, almost knocked them all down.
This is a ginger box
and this is the ginger.
So it goes like that.
This is soy sauce on this side.
I discovered this nifty little Gudetama plate.
And guess who goes on that, Gudetama.
And he has a hat.
♪ Oh yeah ♪
What's that, you thought this video
was about miniature toys.
Jokes on you, 'cause I need to eat some food.
(gentle music)
(knocking)
This is a Tom Yum Goong soup by the way.
It's just a really tiny one
that's super fast and easy to make.
Mm-hmm.
Not bad for an instant noodle.
Not bad at all.
It's actually rice noodles, can you guys see?
♪ Oh yeah, rice noodles ♪

All right buddy, I think it's empty.
Look.
See?
Meemers loves these.
Good job, you're all done.
"I mean that's it?
"I mean I thought I have like a little bit more.
"No, all right I guess.
"I mean I guess I'll let you get back to what you gotta do."
Thanks Meemers.
Hugs, get out of my chair.
Get out of here you hooligan.
Sorry about that and not sorry
because adorable right.
I absolutely love this piece.
This is a soda dispenser
and I actually got it from
just a normal grocery store in Japan.
It didn't come filled up with beads
but I thought these beads were super cute
so, I poured them into like, the top.
It was originally filled with candy
and then this moves very stiffly and.
What the heck?
It's probably just clogged
but it did dispense beads before
but obviously I didn't want them to be dispensed,
I just wanted them to look pretty.
These are some of my other favorites
that aren't quite from Capsule Toys.
Some of them are like, erasers,
some of them are from fans that you've sent.
This is actually a Taiwanese rice cooker
from my friend Ryan.
♪ Ryan and Phoebe, what's up ♪
So, this was not from a Capsule Toy.
This was those boxes again that costs like a risky move,
what are you gonna get?
And it was a Hello Kitty Coffee Shop Edition,
so, I figured it was a win win no matter what I got.
And this is an adorable Disney set.
I'm pretty sure I got this in the mail
from some of you lovelies.
With a very masculine Wolverine
enjoying his delicious tea lunch.
I think it's the perfect combination for him,
don't you think?
Indeed Wolverine.
I will have some more beer flavored tea, hmm.
Random food that I have lying around.
Those are Gudetama Eggs, a tiny little mushroom,
tiny ramen, that's a stir fried rice eraser and cake.
And this is a brownie hamster, there's actually a brownie
he is supposed to be on,
but I like to move him around.
And Jiggly Puff, the cutest,
look at that quaffy hair, oh yeah.
Jiggly Puff.
If you haven't already seen the amazing Netflix show,
Rilakkuma, it's about this little bear
that you're looking at here.
And I actually bought this set
before I saw the Netflix show.
He was always just a favorite of mine.
I have the duck, if you guys remember,
when we first moved to Japan,
Kogi got accidentally packed away.
Very tragic experience for a VIP pig.
And in order to replace Kogi
I needed to find something round and snugly,
so I went for this giant duck
and turns out that giant duck was actually
the bird from Rilakkuma.
If you play Neko Atsume you know what this cushion is.
It's the very difficult to find, elusive Peaches.
I literally maxed out that game completely,
like I bought everything
and I'm constantly, deeply waiting for an update.
And I renamed all the cats, my friends and famous people.
And I love watching, like, Kylo Ren
and Ray accidentally snuggled in a basket
and I was like, I knew it.
This is one of my favorite ones ever,
my niece got this for me.
Meow, meow, meow.
(gentle music)
Pfft!
Okay, absolutely just enough.
My back is all cramped up from using, like,
a q-tip to scrub things.
I feel like things have gone really well here.
I didn't think it was gonna be as easy as it was.
I think I set myself up for a lot of panic.
These are all ready to go.
These are all ready to go.
And this is my container of stuff,
which is a little bit more delicate.
So, I've got the clay and some feather pieces.
I think that I am not gonna be setting this up again tonight
because I really want to set up a new environment
that's a little bit less crowded.
So, I did end up making this a couple years ago.
This is just a piece of fake grass.
It was a huge square actually,
I bought it from, guess where, Daiso for a buck.
And I cut it up to kinda match the ledge
and I really liked how it gave a bit of a grassy feel.
If you guys have anymore suggestions
on nifty little ways
that I can make this a little bit more layered.
Originally, I bought a bunch of these little foamy,
kind of like, triangle and rectangle pieces that I stacked.
But that was like four years ago,
before things got so out of control.
So, any suggestions will be great.
I really enjoyed cleaning them bit by bit,
to be honest
and seeing all the little things that brought me joy.
Thanks for sticking on this little journey.
I'll show you guys for sure, a video or a picture,
once I set up the new fairy garden space.
Hope you guys enjoyed being cleaned once every four years,
'cause it's not happening next year.
Hahaha.
