  • On its surface, it looks quite similar to many of Japan's rural towns, with low profile buildings set against a mountainous backdrop in fairly quiet city streets.

  • In fact, one might even call the area humble, and they wouldn't be wrong in doing so, because despite its seemingly uncomplicated and familiar feel, the town of Takata is famous all across the country.

  • If you were to say the name Staccato, almost anyone in Japan, you're bound to get the same or at least a very similar response, E O.

  • And this peaceful countryside town does not leave any gap between expectation and reality.

  • With over 100 Roman shops in the area and even a set of shrine gates that looked like chopsticks even among all of this one shop stands out among the rest.

  • And when most people hear Fukushima, their mind goes straight to the 2011 earthquake.

  • In the events that followed but without looking at a map, many don't realize just how wide the prefecture of Fukushima actually is.

  • Takata itself is about as far inland as you can go before you start approaching the Sea of Japan.

  • In fact, it's actually closer to the area of Niigata than it is to the Pacific Coast.

  • While the asada or ramen for breakfast is definitely an aspect that makes banish Ocado unique.

  • The shop really hits its stride around lunchtime with a packed house and a street full of cars and people in Japan, the process of making ramen is known to be famously time consuming or sometimes difficult, but modernize on claims that in these conditions it's actually not the most difficult part of the job.
