  • I like how it says how to cheek how to cheek.

  • How do you cheek?

  • Tell me how you cheek.

  • Yeah, yeah.

  • Hey, guys, welcome back to my channel.

  • So today I'm going to be doing something really fun.

  • It is a makeup tutorial from a Japanese magazine.

  • I love Japanese magazines.

  • I think there's so interesting.

  • They're huge.

  • There's so much to look at.

  • I feel like they're way better than American magazines.

  • Most magazines in Japan actually have some sort of price that comes with it.

  • Whether it's a bag or a pencil case makeup booklet, it comes with something that will draw you into the product.

  • These prizes and products get other people to buy magazines, so I feel like it's a very competitive industry.

  • Japanese magazines, especially for women.

  • Most magazines have a lot to look at.

  • I'm not gonna lie like if you have a d d your a.

  • D D is going to go crazy.

  • So I was browsing the magazine section at the supermarket and I came across this magazine that had makeup that came with it, and I've never seen a magazine in Japan that came with like three different products of makeup and then inside the magazine has to make up tutorials.

  • Now a lot of female magazines have makeup tutorials, but this one actually came with the products, which I was pretty impressed by.

  • So this magazine came with a whole palette of eye shadow, which I was really surprised by.

  • So this is what it looks like, and if you open upside down things, is what it looks like, and if you open it up, it looks like it comes with a lot of bright, vibrant colors on one side and some warm tones on the other side.

  • Warm natural tones.

  • It also came with some lipstick, and it's like a peach type lipstick, and this brand is actually by a moda imode A.

  • I'm not never actually heard of before.

  • I'm sure it's something that's in Japanese supermarkets or Japanese department stores and things like that.

  • It also came with this lip gloss as well, and yeah, it goes over the lipstick, so we're gonna test that out today.

  • It looks very PCI and bright and colorful.

  • It's great for spring or summer, whatever you choose.

  • I was looking at the tutorials inside the magazine, and it looked like they had some models in there as well as YouTubers, Japanese YouTubers, which was really, really cool.

  • And they go step by step with pictures on how to apply the makeup.

  • Hopefully, I can get through it without reading the Japanese.

  • I can read some Japanese and get an idea of what to dio, but I'm going to pick one of these today to try and see if I can recreate this look.

  • So there's looks from a very eccentric look to natural everyday looks, um, an orangey type.

  • Look.

  • Orange is a very popular color, it seems, in Japan.

  • So yeah, let's just get started.

  • Okay, so we're going to clip my hair back a little bit, shout out to Zala hair extensions.

  • I'm wearing their hair extensions that I bought online.

  • So I looked through some of these pictures.

  • I decided I wanted to add a little pop up color to my tutorial, so I found this one.

  • It is a healthy.

  • It's called Healthy Resort, and it's green makeup.

  • Look is created by this model.

  • I'm not sure who she is, but she's a very beautiful girl, and I like her tropical type makeup.

  • Look, I don't know how this is gonna work out.

  • I am not the best at makeup.

  • I am just going to say I just do whatever I can.

  • It looks like the only things that are used are the lipstick and the palette.

  • But I think I'm gonna put on the lip gloss on top of this just to use all three products.

  • I like how it's is how to cheek how to cheek.

  • How do you cheek Tell me how you cheek.

  • So it looks like you start with a and you, Deb on that as a base.

  • So we're going to start with that.

  • So we're just gonna take a little bit of that and dab that on the eyes on it.

  • Looks like they're going to apply the letter G one, and that's kind of like a bronze e brown color.

  • It looks like it goes on the outer corners of the lid.

  • So actually, you know what?

  • I'm going to switch to use this applicator because I feel like it's more genuine.

  • If we try Thio, use the applicator.

  • Mhm the applicators.

  • Okay.

  • It's not that great.

  • It doesn't really stick that well.

  • Like to the face like I thought this random red mark on my eye.

  • So let's move on to step three.

  • Says to use the green basically to line the eyes just a little bit and use the side of the applicator.

  • Thio, apply it.

  • So let's try and do that because it looks like it wouldn't come out as smooth as the picture.

  • We'll see what that looks like.

  • Yeah, I actually really like how it turned out.

  • Like I think it looks actually like the picture.

  • So Okay, so we're not done yet.

  • So we're going to go to the next step, which is step number four And step number four says to take the color f e.

  • Like how these air letters?

  • Um, take the color f and take this side of the brush and apply it on your lower lash line.

  • So we're gonna try and do that.

  • This'll red brown.

  • And this, like maroon colored look with the green actually meshes pretty well.

  • It's definitely very subtle and very natural.

  • From what I'm used Thio.

  • But so far it looks OK.

  • Eso we're gonna move on to step five.

  • So there are seven steps total five is to take the G color that we use before it was the brown color and put it at the bottom of your eyes.

  • So Step Six says it is OK to use black eyeliner and to use mascara as well to finish the look.

  • But just do like a thin line not to be super like dramatic with it, and we'll see how that looks.

  • So I have my Tokyo Kate, um brand MM eyeliner.

  • I almost gonna say mascara.

  • It's not mascara liquid eyeliner.

  • It's one of my favorites.

  • If you guys are in Japan, I would definitely and highly recommend this brand and this type of eyeliner Take nothing too dramatic on.

  • I think that actually makes your eyes talk a lot more.

  • So now I'm gonna go in with my lash.

  • Sensational Maybelline mascara.

  • I got this on the base, but you can get the volume, volume ized version of this, and it's the same thing in Japan E.

  • E.

  • Like how subtle it is.

  • It's very easy to apply.

  • There's not so much that you have to do.

  • Not so many steps.

  • I feel like an American magazines and American tutorials.

  • There's so many steps to like eye makeup and ah, whole full face make of makeup.

  • But this is actually pretty pretty easy.

  • Okay, so my lips are feeling really naked right now, so I'm gonna apply that next.

  • So this is what they are using the 2018 spring lipstick Mota.

  • So we're going to test that out right now.

  • Even like this alone looks really, really good without the lip gloss.

  • But I definitely want to try the lip gloss.

  • It goes on top of it.

  • You can use it without the lipstick or with the lipstick, it says.

  • So we're going to test out this M Oda like it's like a sparkle lip gloss.

  • So hopefully it's not too over the top, But we'll see.

  • I really like this lipstick.

  • So far.

  • It's very moisturizing, easy to put on.

  • It's definitely not too over the top like it's not super extra orange.

  • It's kind of like a clear look.

  • And yeah, I actually really like this.

  • It matches my shirt and my look today, so definitely like the lips so far.

  • And that, my friends, is the end of this makeup.

  • Look, this is what a Japanese magazine makeup tutorial is like.

  • And I'm actually very, very pleased with how it turned out.

  • I thought it was gonna butcher this whole thing, but it actually, at the end of this, it turned out to look really good.

  • And it was easy to understand.

  • Easy to apply the makeup that was provided with this magazine.

  • I'm going to just tell you, this magazine was only $7.

  • It was $7 for all of this stuff.

  • And sometimes magazines could be pretty pricey.

  • Like they could be up to $15 here in Japan, depending on the product that they give you.

  • But this was actually worth it.

  • Like I've got a whole palette of makeup and I got the lip gloss and the lipstick.

  • I was really shocked when I opened it.

  • And this magazine is really, really good.

  • This magazine is called J E I J.

  • I guess I've never actually seen this magazine in stores until recently.

  • So maybe I just really wasn't looking, but yeah, I really, really like how this turns out.

  • I love this magazine.

  • Has so much stuff in it, has cooking.

  • It has fashion.

  • It has BTS because they're a fan of BTS.

  • I mean, like They have all sorts of magazines that have similar tutorials and things like that.
