  • What is a routine?

  • We see it all over social media and hopes to understand the perfect one for our lives.

  • But the truth is the perfect routine is your routine.

  • And I'm in need of a good one for my health.

  • You'll see as the day goes on, my time managing waivers and I end up getting scattered.

  • The first day of breaking habits is always the toughest, and staying consistent isn't easy A Z I'm editing this video now I continue to struggle, but I'm getting better every day.

  • Good morning, everybody.

  • So sorry my skin is so bad.

  • Um, some of you guys may know on instagram I got off the pill, so my skin just decided to go back to its natural state.

  • So we're trying.

  • We're in the process of fixing that.

  • It is Thursday morning.

  • I do have a little bit of work to do in Kitty Joji, which is like a meeting sort of like planning session with one of the teachers that I work with.

  • So, unfortunately, I have to go an hour out that way.

  • Just have, like, a 30 minute meeting and it Z it's not going to be enjoyable but at the same time going there and then coming back, I could immediately go grocery shopping, which is what I usually do on the Thursday.

  • So I just made a food list, uh, for grocery shopping and for the week on Trillo, which is one of my favorite programs to use for organizing.

  • I talked about it before in one of my other videos, but I didn't really extensively talk about it.

  • It's a great program.

  • So if you guys, uh, don't mind having like a digital checklist, you can use it on your phone.

  • It's really awesome.

  • I'm going to do a little bit of yoga in just a minute.

  • I might skip some morning editing because I'm trying to get used to this new routine.

  • But I like to see everything like very clearly on the front.

  • So we have cauliflower, rice, yogurt, all the produce underneath here and all you have to do is click archive or the leads in order to get rid of it.

  • This is week one and week one.

  • I have Day 1 November seventh, which is today is steak, sweet potato and broccoli for lunch.

  • And then Golden Malcolm gonna make tonight and then I'm gonna have some tilapia and you can add links to this So I don't have any recipes that are super complicated here, Theo.

  • Nly recipe that I do have is the golden milk.

  • So from my computer, I took a screenshot from one of my books and I'm going to just attach that Teoh the file.

  • Basically, this is what I'm making today.

  • It's coconut milk, coconut oil, turmeric powder.

  • But yeah, those of you guys who know I have a lot of gut issues, so I'm trying to heal that by eliminating sugar and all that stuff.

  • So I am trying to get off caffeine.

  • I'm trying to just heal everything, and that's so important to me.

  • I'm also going to kinesiology Gist on Monday and then Then Sunday we're going hiking in the mountains because we really wanted to do that before it gets hot.

  • And I love nature, and I think that's one of the best medicines for you.

  • So on Dhere is what's on the menu for week one.

  • I only did three days because that's what I shop for.

  • Recently, we just got a mattress from Kuala, which is after a few weeks of sleeping on.

  • It has been a dream since all I have been doing is sleeping on the floor on a futon.

  • I feel like I had my first actual sleep literally.

  • I'm trying to make the bed more often and get into the habit.

  • And honestly, it feels nice to add to my routine because I haven't made a bed in years.

  • They've been working on all these balconies for a very long time, so it's kind of like show and I can't help it.

  • We've been sleeping on this mattress for a couple weeks now a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it, So I have scoliosis.

  • It's a back problem where your spine is not straight.

  • So basically, when I sleep on a super soft mattress, it doesn't help my back.

  • It actually makes it worse.

  • The thing about this mattress is that it's like soft slash hard.

  • I don't know how to explain it.

  • This is really weird.

  • It's not too soft, and I cannot get out of bed in the morning because it's so comfortable.

  • We still need a frame, and we're not going to get one for a while.

  • But so far this bed has been great.

  • We want some new sheets and everything, but for now, this is how it is.

  • We have our little teddy bear here that we won in one of our videos.

  • NUJ and I are obsessed with this.

  • This is a double bed.

  • Um, they also have a queen size and a king size.

  • But we got the double because our apartment is small and we live in Japan.

  • So koala mattress is probably the best mattress I've slept on since I lived in Japan.

  • I usually sleep on a futon or on the floor and loft or whatever, but this mattress, it's not a spring mattress.

  • It's amazing.

  • You guys will love it.

  • So I'm glad we got a mattress.

  • Weaken.

  • Sleep soundly.

  • It's amazing.

  • I'm kind of running late, but sauerkraut, steak, uh, with herbs seasoned.

  • And then I have broccoli and some sweet potato just a little bit.

  • And then I'm gonna head out the door.

  • I don't need a lot of red meat, but sometimes I like steak.

  • This is Australian steak.

  • I don't know if it's better, but it has less fat.

  • So that's all I care about, but doesn't seem to make me feel sick or anything.

  • A to this point, I didn't understand the news.

  • It was about to drop.

  • And what was going to really kick start my new routine?

  • I was tired of guessing, tired of finding out ways to be healthier.

  • And what I was doing throughout this video was so wrong.

  • But now I know what to dio.

  • Hey, guys, welcome to my kitchen floor.

  • Went to the grocery store.

  • It was a lot.

  • I was trying to hurry because I don't have that much time.

  • And I really want to start editing because I haven't edited video in a really long time.

  • Yeah.

  • Anyway, I got Saba, which is some fish, so people are a little confused.

  • My diet, so s so basically, my diet is gonna be none of the foods I'm allergic to, but I'm gonna add good bacteria back in my body.

  • So fermented foods or supplements like l glutamine licorice and all that stuff into my body to replenish it.

  • So basically, my diet is going to be grains or carbs only for one meal, and then the other meals are going to be no carbs, no grain.

  • I know this is super flattering this picture, but this is one mistake I made.

  • I didn't know what was causing my symptoms yet, so I just kept buying stuff that I thought would help me.

  • And I was making up diets that wouldn't ever actually cure me.

  • And the thing is, I was trying to add beneficial things to my gut before solving the problem.

  • So it wasn't gonna ever help me in the first place.

  • No wheat, no anything like that because I'm not allergic to wheat.

  • I'm not allergic to gluten or anything like that.

  • But I want to try to be more gluten free.

  • It's very expensive, and I'm struggling right now with money because they've been throwing it at my health.

  • So I got some sub a fish.

  • I love fish.

  • I can eat fish.

  • So it's good.

  • I got some chicken.

  • They don't have organic chicken here in Japan, it's very, very rare.

  • I'm gonna have to do what I can and just eat regular chicken.

  • I got some cut up kabocha, which is pumpkin sweet potatoes and pumpkin is something I'm gonna eat a lot of not a lot of, but in moderation, I guess.

  • And then they have allergy free bacon.

  • So, uh, this seems like it's okay.

  • There's not that many ingredients in it.

  • There's like six ingredients total, and it doesn't have any soy or eggs or anything like that, which is awesome.

  • Then I have some cucumber basic stuff, some organic vegetables.

  • The organic vegetable section is so small.

  • I think a lot of the foods I bought were healthy choices.

  • But maybe not what I needed for my body.

  • I'm way too impatient.

  • Also, if you notice, most of these items are expensive.

  • For how much you get in a bag.

  • You got cauliflower rice.

  • They sell this now in Japan.

  • Cauliflower, rice, and they sell Cali.

  • Are they?

  • Sell broccoli rice.

  • So it's just cut up broccoli.

  • It's just, uh, looks like rice, but not rice.

  • Partain.

  • Oh, Greek yogurt, my favorite yogurt.

  • Something that they sell in Japan.

  • That's amazing for your gut is a kimono.

  • Okay?

  • Mental is great for your gut health.

  • So e got this, and I'm gonna eat it a little bit for a snack.

  • It has a lot of salt in it, so just be careful.

  • Fermented, pickled pickled vegetables are very good for your summit.

  • And that is it for the grocery hall.

  • Now I'm going to eat a snack, and I'm going to work on something for work.

  • Okay, guys, I have no idea what I concocted, but this is literally like it smells so good.

  • I didn't think it was gonna be so good.

  • But we have some turmeric seasoned chicken.

  • I had some greens left over some, like leaf lettuce and, uh, Mac and cheese.

  • And this is Annie's Mac and cheese.

  • So I don't know how this is gonna taste, but I mean, I wanted to not eat carbs for dinner, but this came in the mail and I haven't had Mac and cheese and so long, and I'm gonna add a little bit of nutritional yeast to this to make a little bit better.

  • And this is what I have concocted so good.

  • We have nutritional yeast on top, a little bit of an avocado.

  • I'm a one for allergies and avocado, but they said it's a false positive.

  • So I think it's just undigested particles they picked up, so I don't really have much of a problem with them, So I'm going to keep eating them.

  • As you can tell, my cravings are off the wall, and I have no limit.

  • I try to eat healthy and changed my diet, but I fail miserably here.

  • I'm making coconut golden milk, but it sucks because obtaining coconut milk in Japan is difficult.

  • Unless you order online warning.

  • It's still expensive.

  • But coconut is one thing I didn't do wrong this day.

  • Okay, so update.

  • I have a little bit of a headache, probably because I am not drinking so much caffeine, but I made some turmeric golden milk with coconut milk.

  • I don't know if this is gonna taste good or not.

  • I don't think I put in a turmeric in it.

  • It's good for the stomach, so we're gonna just try it and see how it went.

  • Mhm.

  • It's interesting.

  • It's kind of spicy, but it's very cozy.

  • Don't explain it like it's warm.

  • It feels good.

  • It feels healthy.

  • The thing is, I only have, um, coconut milk that's in a can.

  • And I wish I had coconut milk that it could just pour.

  • This is actually freaking good E.

  • After my bath, I had the worst headache, so I fell asleep instantly in hopes that I could wake up and start again.

  • Ah, couple days later, after taking some lab tests of the Tokyo Surgical and Medical Clinic, after countless doctor visits, days of pain, allergies and depression, I received an email with the final results.

  • I have Cibo small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.

  • When I found out, I cried out of relief of finally knowing, but fear of how long it will take to cure.

  • From now on, I will be seeing what my options are in changing my diet accordingly.

  • Don't guess.

  • Find out what's going on with your body before you change your lifestyle.

  • Yeah.

  • Okay.

  • Yeah.
