  • hi there jennifer from tarle speech with your pronunciation question

  • today's question is about word endings and words that end in s

  • t s get these questions a lot of times let's take a look at some examples

  • of words that end in sts so we have tests guests

  • rests and ghosts okay so everyone kind of freaks out about

  • this ending and i get it it is difficult but if you take your time this is

  • actually not too difficult it just takes a little

  • bit of practice all right so what we're going to do is for the s

  • sound ssss the tip of your tongue is either pointed

  • slightly down or it's behind your top front teeth it

  • is not touching you're going to keep the air moving out

  • of your mouth sssss

  • then you are going to touch your teeth with your tongue stop the air

  • for a second and then pull the tongue back down and

  • allow that air to start going again so it's going to be sstss

  • ssstss sstss

  • so we have tests tests tests guests

  • guests guests rests rests rests and

  • ghosts ghosts ghosts so a tip would be practice the sts

  • and then once you get really good at that try it in words so give it a try

  • people are going to notice the difference if you found this helpful

  • please share this with a friend don't forget to give us a like and a

  • subscription and if you are looking for more help
