S s decision to pull out all of its troops from the region is a major turning point in the conflict.

On one side is President Edwin's Turkey, a NATO member whose aim is to force Kurdish forces from that border area and now following a deal with the Assad regime.

Syrian government forces are helping the Kurds, and the Assad regime is backed by Iran.

On Russia.

How significant a moment could this turn out to be?

You know, it's been a really significant seven days, only that time since that first announcement by President Trump that he was going to pull out American soldiers.

And in that seven days, the war map off Syria has bean transformed.

The Americans have dumped their allies, the Syrian Kurds.

But as well as that they have bean big new opportunities for the Turks for the regime, of course, in Damascus and its backers, Russia and Iran.

Ondas well as that.

The jihadists off Islamic state.

Now they want to reconstitute their organization, and they see loads of new opportunities to do it.

Right now they've announced there's going to be a new campaign or violence of killing right across Syria, and they may want to try and bust some of their fighters out of the jails.

Whether Kurds who are now too low, add, are holding them now.

European countries very concerned about this.

They've asked the Turks to stop their their operation.

Now, when the troubles off the Middle East come knocking on European doors, their leaders tend to get a bit rattled.

Andi, I think the nightmare scenario they have now is that somehow the the forces off the regime backed by Russia will end up facing off with NATO forces from Turkey.

That's a big, big worry for a lot of them now.

The last thing, really is that this has Bean.

A big turning point in Syria's catastrophe may make the end game a little bit simpler with the Kurds on the Americans out of the picture.

But really, that leaves President Assad, his backers, the Russians and the Iranians to do what they need to do to further solidify their victory in this war.
