  • welcome in our great friend from TNT Sports Mr Ernie Johnson.

  • We won't even pretend you're Chuck, but we'll ask the questions we were going to ask him.

  • Game two of the Blazers Warriors is tonight.

  • Charles picked the Blazers toe win in the West that anything you saw in game one persuade you that Charles is wrong on this one.

  • I have not been on board with Charles on that pick since he made the that proclamation on our air.

  • I just don't see it even without Kevin Durant.

  • I just think Golden State is too good to beat four times.

  • And so you know Portland.

  • You know, I like what the Blazers have, but I just don't think they can beat Golden State four times, you know, And And I think in Game one, unless you're gonna make you know Clay and Steph a lot more uncomfortable.

  • You cannot allow those guys to make shots.

  • And the pressure certainly is on Lillard and McCollum to respond again.

  • And I think if you go down to nothing in this Siri's, it's it's it's gonna be tough to overcome.

  • Well, Ernie, how surprised, Then argue that the warriors are doing this without Kevin Durant, and I presume them from their first answer.

  • You presume they can keep doing it without Kevin Durant.

  • I think it's much easier if you have Kevin Durant in the mix, obviously, but you know, this is not an unfamiliar situation for Golden State to be in.

  • They want a championship without Kevin Durant.

  • I think their bench was better when they when they did win that championship before Katie got there.

  • But, uh, you're still dealing with two of the best shooters out there.

  • You're dealing with a guy, you know, like I think the Andrew Bogut's pickup was huge.

  • I think he gives him a real solid, veteran presence.

  • Who knows how the system runs and a guy who makes good decisions on the floor.

  • And no, this is This is still a very good Golden State team on If I don't know if they get cousins into that mix at some point, I know they've been saying that he's maybe close to two returning and we'll just see when Katie gets back.

  • But again, too much, too much championship pedigree, in my opinion and I just don't think I just don't think Portland can beat them in a Siri's.

  • So Clay Thompson says he listens to classical music and get this nature sounds nature sounds to get up for a game Before you guys go out there with shack.

  • God knows what Shack listens to with Kenny with Charles, what do you do to get ready for them?

  • What is every?

  • What is it like for all of you before you go out on the set?

  • I also listen to nature sounds, but their actual sounds.

  • I just go out into nature and listen to what it has to offer, you know, for me, preparing for that show.

  • That's the work part of my job.

  • The show itself is not work.

  • I mean, I've sitting there with with Kenny Shack and Charles, who have been in every conceivable situation on a basketball floor.

  • And I'm just kind of staying in my lane, trying to get us from Point A to point B to Point C.

  • And nobody cares what I think about what a team might be saying with 1.7 seconds to play in the huddle.

  • Those guys have all been there, so I'm just trying Teoh be heard from time to time to keep shack from attacking Charles and s.

  • Oh, yeah, that's the That's the easy part of my job.

  • You all.

  • I mean, and so the only time I really listened and I listen to nature sounds when I'm trying to get to sleep at night.

  • You know, I'll put that call map on and listen and listen to stuff and fall asleep.

  • But, no, I have nothing special.

  • As far as a pregame routine to go to sleep.

  • I listen the wilbon sounds, I've got a tape.

  • It works, right?

  • That's right.

  • That works.

  • Oh, no.

  • You, your guys, your guys shown never puts me anywhere near that.

  • I watch you guys strictly for entertainment value and for all, I would liken glean from you that I can use on my show so that I feel like I know what I'm talking about.

  • Of course, earning.

  • You and Turner have the Eastern Conference finals, Raptors bucks.

  • I'm sort of just sort of uncertain myself in the Raptors.

  • Buck Syriza's well, you saw you honest last night when you're watching the games let particularly last night with Shaq and Charles.

  • Do they look at ya, honest as somebody who was one of their peers?

  • Or do they think a young guy newfangled guys still hold out to learn?

  • You know what I think is?

  • And here this is always the real barometer for me on current players is when I see Shack and Charles and Kenny rendered speechless from time, the time by a move that they see.

  • Then I know a guy has arrived and I see that from time to time.

  • When when they're watching the honest player, when they're shaking their head and say, Man, how does the guy do that?

  • So he's he's the real deal, and it's scary to think of how good he can get if he develops a consistent jumper and could do something other than just drive through the lane.

  • It'll be amazing.

  • But we had Oscar Oscar Robertson on the show last night and we said, Hey, do you need to do you need to have him develop a jumper?

  • He said Magic never developed a jumper.

  • He turned out okay, So when I you can hear from our guys and here from the big Oh, yeah, the guys, the guys certainly arrived.

  • Thank you so much, Ernie.

  • Appreciate it very much.
