good afternoon and good afternoon guys greetings from Busan South Korea Suns
gone away first time we've been here where we haven't had any Sun well that's
kind of nice cuz it's cooled down a little bit and right now we are going to
explore Gamcheon Cultural Village (감천문화마을 - 甘川文化마을) an iconic spot here in busan like if you
can imagine this hill with these really colorful houses they call it the Machu
Picchu of Busan which is a kind of funny nickname to me it reminds me of
Valparaiso in Chile a very colorful area and our plan is we're gonna wander
around show you the view so you're the colorful houses but the real reason
we're here is to eat Korean Street food as well so we're gonna be chowing down
on delicious Korean Street food here in Busan let's make it happen
I know there's a pool up on us a good China so you get on one yeah don't tell
me that I told on it oh my to get that
Gamsahamnida something uh guys we're starting off with a bang two
meters then we found screen Street food so we're starting with Bungeo-ppang (붕어빵) if
you guys have watched my Japanese content there's a very similar thing in
Japan and basically what this is you get three of these little fish cheap but
they call them cakes to me they're more like the kind of like wofully type of
things it's basically like a waffle type of batter okay inside you've got red
bean paste and they're delicious man they're so good in the winter I used to
do G's when I lived in Korea you know the fish looks kind of cute a little bit
sad that I have to bite into it but this is what you had to do to enjoy the good
food mmm through the red bean paste in there
really tasty mmm these have been sitting out for a little bit they're not piping
hot it tastes best when they've been freshly made like I love these when
they're freshly made one more bite to be honest at 3 4 tone laundry for less than
a u.s. dollar it's one of the most affordable 3 in street food snacks that
can try they're really popular with middle school high school kids
what's in the gamsahaminda from it uh I'm trying a type of Korean Street food I'd
have never had before it's basically like a shrimp stick
it's called sail which in cream means shrimp and hot bar (핫바) I hear this off
hotbar man he nuked it up in the microwave
hence the hot and also put some ketchup and mustard on there so yeah it should
be interesting let's give it a chance okay I mean I definitely taste the
shrimp I'm not entirely sure what the rest of the bar is I feel like let me
try that on its own put some words of consistency once
reminds me a bit of a pancake it's got like some vegetables in there it tastes
good with the ketchup and mustard I like the shrimp but the bar itself there's
nothing to write home about it's okay it's very spongy it's a bit
fishy to him priced at 3000 won it's not the cheapest thing you can get in terms
of korean street food for me that's just very okay not amazing but I'll have
another buddy shrimp show you a hot bar guys
I wasn't either play so far we came here a few days ago with the group so I
wanted to come back you know we didn't any street food we just saw in a half an
hour yeah but today super quiet Sunday afternoon like no tourists at all you
know obviously it's a souvenir shop restaurants street food and there's also
amazing views from here and yeah this Terrace actually was the best view we
had right here
this is cool guys selling chamoe (참외) somewhere
which I guess is my quote anything golden watermelon this is a korean fruit I don't
believe I tried before this is really interesting about the truck try not to
get run over it tastes a little bit like a honeydew melon there's up a little
more sour still sweet and a little bit more crunchy
given that so late Sunday afternoon there aren't as many vendors and Street
food options available also less people hanging out in this area but we're still
gonna try our best to have as much Korean Street food as we possibly can as
I'm walking along here I'm noticing places selling orange juice ice cream
and David just told me the summer that has frozen beer I know what that is I'm
trying here
yeah like the beer alright guys this has become a really unique Korean Street
food tour we're literally trying stuff we've never had before I have no idea
what this is is like oh it feels like jello look at that jiggles it's got some
chocolate sauce and it's something that appears to be like maybe some peanut
powder so I'm going to just pack and try eating it just like creating slices here
no idea how to eat this I don't even know what's called to be honest this
store didn't have a sign for it we just saw it kind of sitting there and we're
like yeah let's try it grab me some with a chocolate sauce look
it's dripping all over the place hmm yeah it's like a smooth jello and
that's a very artificial chocolate sauce yeah I love it
oh let me see with the peanut powder this is what I'm gonna do I'm just gonna
start like going like yes no this looks kind of disgusting no but I think this
would be popular with kids so the jello itself doesn't have a ton
of flavor it really like gains its flavor from the sauce now that I've
added the chocolate and the peanut together tasting quite a bit better I'm
actually quite like I think I'm gonna finish the whole thing some of these
Korean Street food items we've had today this is the first time I've ever seen
them and having lived in Korea for a little while that's quite interesting
because I feel like it's rare for me to find something that I haven't seen at
least more than somewhere work mmm this is 3000 won so like less than 3 us bucks the
beer was 4,500 I haven't had that yeah that's coming up yeah they're pretty
good to be honest I didn't start off loving it but and thanks ma'am there's a
beer frozen beer is about 3/4 of the cup of straight beer
and then they had this like it looks like a soft ice cream dispensing kind of
machine and it just like added like a foamy kind of beer type of thing I don't
even think it has a taste of ice cream I think it actually tastes like beer let
me try that hard it tastes like really light soft-serve ice cream with a little
bit of beer flavor I could imagine this is like kind of like a beer float I'm
gonna actually try the beer mix this around a bit more when you actually put
the straw down to the bottom they're just tasting the beer the only way you
get the foamy part is if you kind of ask with a straw maybe it's interesting I
wouldn't go out of my way to have this one again I mean I'd rather just have
the extra beer than the foam I mean if we're gonna have a beer you want a beer
right you don't want it watered down by some kind of strange foam man this is
turning out to be a bit of a bizarre street food tour like there's more
misses than hits shops are closing so we'll see what we can find and right
across where we had the dessert and also the beer there is the number-one lookout
point this is basically like the postcard perfect view from this
particular neighborhood
turn turn turn turn check out them views that is the second observation point we
have found so far yeah this one's way better the views are just sick from up
here look I know the ocean see the whole neighborhood it just go slowly goes down
like a staircase right yeah yeah you have a few tall buildings there yeah
this sort of interfering in the view yeah can't really move them right yeah I
know they stick out a bit like a sore thumb like what I know what you're
explaining is like literally right here look at that look at those tall
buildings and then you have the colorful ones below behind and to the sides of it
basically the street is closed up shop yeah Sunday I mean people need to take
the day off I get it that's it for the street food tour here that's not yet for
the food adventure we're gonna head down we look for a place that has being food
we took a taxi ride and where are we now dude so we're back in the center city as
you could see this like the entertainment district yeah and right
here is a Galmegi brewing so craft beer and yeah this street this street is
like lit up the only on neon central bro so we're ending things off here at del
Galmegi Brewing Company basically in the heart of downtown I have really cool
craft beers I'm trying a vanilla expressive stout space of dirt Oh smells
delicious it really does smell like an expresso oh my gosh man that's so good
powerful stove flavor exactly what it says it taste is like espresso and
vanilla so overall event a pretty cool afternoon I mean I'll be completely
honest it's probably the worst Korean Street food I've ever had
so she Korean Street food was being like exceptionally delicious and at least
half of those items were like flat-out misses and they're just a few okay
things so I would recommend that like in hindsight go to that area enjoy it for
the photos enjoy it for the experience of being there in the views of Busan but
maybe save your street food experiences for somewhere else in the city I
wouldn't go back there again the street with us for sure anyways if you guys
enjoyed the video give it a thumbs up comment below subscribe to both of our
channels gum Bay bro number it will cease but more foodie travel adventures
