Uhm, I don't even know how I'm gonna make this video
-
It's very personal
-
but its also like something that I really wanna talk about
-
Because I feel like there is a lot of people
-
they're gonna wanna come to japan and they have allergies or chronic diseases
-
And they don't know how to deal with those things
-
And I think that I wanna put that health aspect on my channel
-
because it's important. I have a deathly peanut allergy
-
I have psoriasis
-
I have scoliosis
-
I have asthma which is a chronic longe disease
-
I have allergies to pollen uhm and
-
dust mites and all sorts of things
-
I have chronic acid reflux gerd
-
It's like something that I had to deal with
-
like all my life. I'm a mess and
-
It keeps me from doing things with other people
-
It keeps me from.. you know
-
taking opportinities and
-
I have anxiety
-
I have like mild depression
-
like those things, anxiety and depression like are things that I've been able to
-
work with in my life and things that I've been able to help
-
But I have a lot of problems and I have a lot of digestive problems
-
aswell I've grew up with digestive issues and
-
all sorts of things and as you get older things get worse and
-
you have to treat them
-
I grew up lactose intolerant but I grew out of it when I was 7
-
uhm.. I was allergic to shellfish growing up so
-
I grew out of it aswell and I'm not allergic to that anymore
-
as a recent which is something that I found out uhm..
-
a couple weeks ago is that I'm intolerant
-
which is a class 2 allergy to
-
soy beans and egg
-
which is something that I eat a lot of
-
In Japan so I was pretty shocked
-
upset that I was allergic to
-
those things
-
allergic to dogs and cats but I knew that already
-
but getting those test results back
-
and seing that was such a hard thing to stomach
-
because in Japan it's so hard to avoid those things
-
and
-
you think like can I live here?
-
can I.. am I gonna survive?
-
but it's something that I kinda have to omit from my diet
-
as often as possible
-
Going back to december I ended up taking a ton of anticiotics
-
I had nemonia, I was very sick and
-
I never got sick before
-
any of this before I started teaching children
-
which I do right now. I never got sick
-
until this moment like it was very rare for me to get sick
-
teaching children I feek like at this point in my life
-
my body is just not equipped to be doing it as much as I love it
-
like I love the job I think
-
the job that I have is very good and it gives me the time to do my youtube chanel
-
and like other things on the side
-
which I love uhm.. so it's
-
like the ideal job for what I do in my life
-
going back to december
-
I had nemonia and I took two rounds of really strong antibiotics
-
I got better
-
uhm.. a month later went back to work got sick
-
because you know parents bring their kids to work sick sometimes and
-
you know they dont wanna miss a day
-
so that can be
-
rough when you're a teacher here in japan so
-
I got sick again and I ended up going to get more antibiotics
-
because I couldn't get better like my body was not healing
-
my imunesystem was already surpressed
-
from my asthma and my allergies and
-
all the things that are happening in my system so
-
after those two months I started to feel a lot of swelling in my throat
-
and I didn't know why
-
I got a fever, I had my ears started to pop
-
I had extreme allergies like my nose would be running
-
and I would feel like I had a cold but it wasn't a cold
-
Uhm and then it would shut off like it was a faucet
-
it would just shut off, immediatley everything would go away
-
And I was like.. what just happened?
-
Like it was almost like the storm like went through my body
-
and then came out.
-
Anyway I started to get a sinus infection again and it looked like it was a sinus
-
like an actual sinus infection
-
I was about to take a plane uhm and
-
I remember Gretchen came my friends
-
just to say goodbye to me and I was miserable
-
I was having asthma problems, horrible asthma problems
-
I did not know what it was
-
I thought maybe it was anxiety or something else.
-
I had a some virus or....
-
I have no clue what was happening to my imunesystem
-
It just went into overdrive
-
and decided to attack me
-
I landed in LA uh.. I still had the problems
-
and I felt bad because I was.. my voice was gone
-
and I looked like I was sick when I first met my boyfriend
-
and I was taking allergy medicine
-
and I didn't understand why
-
and then one day it just went away again
-
like faucet - turn off everything was gone
-
and I was like what the heck?
-
what is happening to me?
-
everything was gone I was like okay..? well I guess I'm better now
-
A couple days later I started to develop some pain in the back of my tongue
-
And I was like looking and nothing was there
-
just felt like I burned the back of my tongue
-
and then a couple days later I started to develop these red bumps
-
in the back of my tongue
-
and I was like what the heck? It looked like it was just swollen taste buds
-
It still hurt by then but I didn't pay attention I thought I would go away
-
Uh well.. it didn't and eventually started to turn white
-
And I was like oh my God
-
what is happening
-
so my whole tongue turned completly white
-
So at first I was like maybe I'm just getting sick
-
so I went to urgent care during my vacation
-
and the doctor was an idiot like I
-
urgent care you know urgent care it's not really the best place to go
-
but I didn't have a lot of money
-
and it was the cheapest option so
-
Uh.. and I didn't have insurance either because I live here
-
when I went there I saw the doctor, he didn't seem to care
-
he messed up my Name like
-
when he wrote the perscription he switched my name with somebody elses
-
it was really weird
-
And then he was like, he didn't even really check me
-
He was like oh looks kinda like strep throat or whatever I dont really know
-
so I'm just gonna give you some antibiotics
-
Because you know when you go to a doctor
-
antibiotics like they give it to you because they think it's gonna cure you
-
Anyway so he gave me antibiotics
-
and uhm.. didn't work
-
At first I thought like okay initially I'm gonna say like TMI
-
I thought it was an STD
-
So I thought maybe STD oral thrush
-
uh, was the possibility
-
because of all the antibiotics that I took and like my imunesystem is crap
-
oral thrush was the most likley one
-
and still kind of as on the table as if right now
-
yeah.. nothing went away with antibiotics
-
I had a fever like a low grad fever
-
It wasn't anything like bad but I still had one
-
and I was confused like what the heck
-
is going on with me?
-
Because this didn't start happening until
-
you know after I took the last bowl of antibiotics
-
and I got sick. People think going to the doctor can just cure you
-
But honestly it can't
-
It's all about your diet everything, all of your diseases
-
anything you have whether it's arthritis or
-
autoimmune disease like eczema all of that stuff
-
starts in the gut in the stomach
-
all of that comes from the stomach and uhm..
-
even asthma and acid reflex
-
all of this starts from the stomach
-
and if you don't eat the right foods
-
so if you always eat you know processed things, sweet things
-
lots of sugary things which is something that I've been eating a lot
-
bread and pastas which I also eat a lot of
-
ehm.. looking at my diet
-
keeping a food diary for a while and I eat a lot of that stuff
-
and its processed
-
and it's sugary and I have intolerances and allergies
-
and these things can .... on your gut
-
no matter if you have allergies or not
-
like if you're eating bad if you're not eating correctly
-
and you're not using simple ingredients and home made cooking
-
then you're gonna have problems
-
in the future
-
I don't snack a lot like I don't eat chips or anything like that because
-
it irritates my acid reflux
-
so I never touch those things but I eat a lot of sweets
-
and I eat a lot of pizza and cheese
-
and tomatoes that can really agrovate your stomach lining
-
and your
-
just digestive system in general
-
so honestly all of these things that I'm propably having currently
-
is something that I can cure with food and the right kind of diet
-
so I went to
-
a doctor when I came back
-
I immediatley called the ENT as soon as I landed in japan again
-
and I set up an appointment for the next day
-
so I went to my ENT
-
and he looked at my throat and my tongue
-
and he's like "Oh.. looks not that bad"
-
like "it doesn't look like oral thrush to me"
-
I was like "Really? It does to me"
-
It really did cuz I showed it to my aunt
-
she's a nurse and she's like "that's oral thrush"
-
and I was like "yeah right? It looks like oral thrush"
-
Like I, it looks like I'm having a yeast infection in my gut or my body
-
Something's happening and overgrowth of bacteria
-
So the doctor didn't see anything weird
-
Uhm.. he did a swap test
-
he did a strep throat test which was weird because I already did that
-
I had antibiotics for a strep throat and my throat wasn't even hurting
-
so like..
-
I didn't even understand that
-
But he checked and nothing seemed abnormal
-
they came back negative, no yeast, no bacteria
-
I wanted a second opinion so I went to a super expensive doctor
-
and it was an american doctor living in Japan
-
and uh..
-
he doesn't take insurance so it was extremly expensive
-
but I wanted answers and I went to this guy before after I was misdiagnosed
-
when I first had nemonia, which was like
-
4 years ago I had it before
-
and I was consitently misdiagnosed
-
he listens
-
this guy is also a psychologist or a psychiatrist aswell
-
so I feel like I can really talk to him
-
about my fears and my issues
-
And so he was like "you know what?"
-
"I'm gonna give you some antifungal medicine to see if something clears up"
-
"and we'll swab your throat"
-
"and or your tongue again to see if there's any yeast."
-
So he did it, came out negative uhm..
-
he gave me antifungal stuff
-
Didn't go away
-
I was taking it for like 3 days at that point
-
and nothing was changing. Also I went to primary care doctor
-
I found a new one and
-
they are amazing, I love them
-
It's an international doctor I will
-
link every doctor I've seen down below who's been good for me
-
And speaks English
-
But this doctor tested me for
-
CBC blood test
-
I think its complete blood count test
-
And she tested me for all STDs like every single one
-
oral and you know the urin test and stuff
-
Everything was negative, blood test was normal
-
So I was like "Okay what the heck is happening?"
-
I still have these bumps in the back of my tongue
-
The pain went away
-
My tongue was still white. And then I started to have pain in my throat
-
like tightness and stiffenss
-
increased acid reflux
-
trouble swallowing.. things like that
-
it was confusing I would go to work and I would be talking
-
and then all of a suddden my throat would start to hurt
-
after talking for so long and then I started having TMI
-
constipation, digestive problems
-
all that stuff I ended up to get an allergy test
-
and thats when I found out I was allergic to those things
-
so I thouht "oh God I was eating so many eggs"
-
in LA maybe I was having reactions
-
my body was like not digesting it correctly
-
Which is propably what this could be
-
Like this could be just complete
-
like completly just allergies
-
but I'm having pain in the side like my left side
