  • So there it waas wrapped up in courts.

  • Couldn't move a muscle.

  • I walked into the nest of this Elektronik boa constrictor looking for a working charger.

  • Yeah, I'd accumulated that many.

  • Over time, I'd buy one.

  • It break, I get another.

  • Now All I can do is regret every poor choice I've made and wonder what I could have done Better.

  • Look, there I am ripping the charger out of the phone instead of holding it by the plug and carefully taking it out of the court.

  • And there it goes, all crumbled up into my pocket.

  • And it's the when I keep my keys in.

  • Perfect.

  • They're just gonna rub up on the cord and wear it down.

  • That's not even the worst thing I did, but more on that later, Before I get into anything, I know what you're thinking.

  • Just charge wirelessly.

  • But you know, you can't use that all the time.

  • Plus, they could make your phone hot.

  • Okay.

  • Where was I?

  • Yes, by just one cable.

  • You don't need a vast collection anymore, but consider getting a cable protector with it.

  • They come in all shapes and sizes.

  • Fancy things attached to the joint near the plug.

  • This is the most delicate part of the cable.

  • The simplest form of protector looks like a spiral going around the wire.

  • And, yes, it seems familiar.

  • Just like a spring, and you can make a basic cable protecting yourself.

  • Just take the spring out of a clicking pan and wrap it around the cable near the plug.

  • This will prevent the court from bending in this most vulnerable part Now if a spring isn't your style, use a shoe lace and weave it around the ends of your charger.

  • It may look kind of bulky, but it works.

  • You can also wrap the ends of the cable with simple electric tape.

  • If you don't care about looks too much.

  • Otherwise, you can go full craft mode and wrap the whole wire with embroidery flaws.

  • This will emulate the type of store bought cable that's more protected and reinforced.

  • They're covered in synthetic material and usually sturdier than D I Y Y.

  • But they're not is customizable and cool looking.

  • If you want a cheap, nice looking and easy to use method, try heat shrinking tubes.

  • Their name says it all.

  • Put the cable inside a tube of your favorite color.

  • Give it a blast of hot air from a blow dryer and watch it shrink.

  • It'll tightly seal all the wire and making much sturdier and brighter.

  • Now remember how I was always yanking my cord out of the phone?

  • You can prevent that by, well, not doing that in the first place.

  • Or get yourself a magnet adapter these air little nozzles for your cable.

  • Just plug it in the magnet adapter and then plug the adapter into the Charger port on your device.

  • It will also help maintain a more stable connection.

  • If your charger cable is already fraying, you can use electrical tape to fix it.

  • But it's not the only solution.

  • Try a special adhesive putty.

  • It's like a Plato used in electron ICS Onley.

  • It sets itself after being shaped.

  • Stick it in the thorn part of the cable, wrap it around, shape it nice and smooth and wait for it to heart.

  • Another handy remedy is liquid.

  • Tape is an adhesive fluid that turns into a rubber like consistency after drying.

  • It'll still be quite flexible after that, so consider using some of the other methods of cable reinforcement.

  • I told you about.

  • For example, you can place a spring on a broken part of the court and then apply liquid.

  • It'll help hold the spring in place and double up that protection.

  • But if you're like me, you've had cable.

  • Stop working and have no idea why they're not broken.

  • Afraid they just don't charge your phone.

  • The problem may be in the port itself.

  • Get yourself a can of compressed air like the winds.

  • They make the clean keyboards and blow the air into the Charger port to get rid of any dust or debris that may be preventing a proper connection.

  • And whatever you do, don't stick anything metal into the pork.

  • I tried to clean mind with a fork, and it short circuited my phone, turning in into nothing more than an overpriced Breck.

  • And it still wasn't my biggest mistake, though, or it could be your smartphone software to blame.

  • It's what controls the whole charging process and can malfunction from time to time.

  • Try a hard reset on your phone by holding the screen blocking button on the side for a while, or the home button and a side button.

  • If you use older models, it could help with faulty charging software.

  • Now, how about that waterfall of courts hanging from your desk and getting all tangled with each other when you have several devices charging once get it organized.

  • You can use binder clips toe hold each cable in place on the edge of your desk.

  • There you go there all in one place, easily accessible at all times and won't get worn down by twisting and turning.

  • Okay, that's for when you're chilling at home.

  • What about when you're on the go?

  • Well, don't shove your charger into your pocket or throw it nonchalantly into your bag, looping around in circles and carefully put the plugs inside the spiral again.

  • The idea is to prevent bending, and the worst thing you could do is exposure.

  • Cable to the coal chargers often break in the winter because low temperatures make the cable harder and less flexible.

  • One wrong bend and snap your out yet another chord.

  • Now all that being said, I think you can help me out of this thing.

  • My leg fell asleep.
