  • Hey guys!

  • Welcome to another episode of OneSet Violin.

  • Yes, actually -

  • Practice.

  • Ooh.

  • So today we're going to be playing the...

  • But with a twist.

  • We're gonna up this challenge

  • and make it a game of strategy.

  • Only high IQ intellectuals are able to play

  • this game of high stakes.

  • So here is how it's going to work...

  • There are five levels.

  • The aim is to get through the entire piece

  • without making mistake.

  • The person that begins gets to set the tempo.

  • If the person A, gets it to the end of the piece.

  • The only way person B can win this round is if they can

  • sightread at a faster tempo

  • and also get through the entire piece, okay?

  • And tempos must increment by intervals of 10.

  • So it can't just be one.

  • Yeah, it can't just be one beat per minute faster.

  • That's too easy.

  • On the other hand,

  • if person A does not complete the sightreading,

  • the only way person B can win is if they make it further.

  • But the same tempo or faster, they can't go slower.

  • So, it's a big game of strategy

  • because whoever's going first,

  • if they go too fast,

  • they might mess up themselves.

  • If they go too slow,

  • - it will be too easy for person B. - Yeah, to the other person.

  • The pressure's on.

  • We both have two wild cards.

  • First one is called second attempt.

  • We can use this if we want to have a second attempt.

  • Next one is slower tempo, so...

  • Person B can use this card.

  • - Yeah. - And play it 10 slower.

  • - Yeah. - So the person A needs to keep in mind

  • if they do screw up, the other person can do it 10 slow.

  • The prize is one Tim Tam.

  • And the punishment...

  • The other person has to...

  • Slap himself on the face.

  • Imagine the punishment is to scratch your violin.

  • Nah, not gonna happen.

  • Punishment is you gotta get the god pillar.

  • Yeah, put the god pillar in your violin.

  • Oh, hohoho!

  • - Scissors, paper, rock! - ...Paper, rock!

  • Ohh!

  • - Scissor, paper, rock! - Scissor, paper, rock!

  • Ohh!!!

  • I actually don't know if it's better to go first or second.

  • Hahahaha.

  • I can see where this is going.

  • Dude, I think going first is harder!

  • Cause you play for the other person.

  • Yeah.

  • Alright, I'm gonna risk it.

  • 190.

  • Whoa!!

  • - So now I gotta do - - So you have to beat it...

  • 10 faster because I made it to the end.

  • Oh...

  • - Ohh! - That's 200!

  • Damn it.

  • Oh!!!

  • Dude, I think going first is harder.

  • - I think so. - Second person can hear.

  • Definitely not 200.

  • - Da-da, da-da, da-da~ - Dude...

  • Alright, I got this.

  • - Dude, are you serious? This is so fast. - 120, I can do it.

  • Nah, actually you know what, I am pussying out.

  • It's too fast.

  • Alright, 100.

  • Ohhh!!!

  • Oh!

  • - Oh! Ahh! - Ahh!

  • No!

  • Okay, 110?

  • Nah, I can sa - I can match.

  • - Because you didn't finish it. - Okay, okay, alright.

  • Ohh! Noo!

  • Ah! Nah.

  • - Ahh, damn. - At least I got that C sharp.

  • But I did a - Something dodgy.

  • - Should we check? - Yeah, let's check the audio.

  • Nah, I got that.

  • Okay, you got it.

  • It was like, you know the tennis?

  • Where you want the umpire to check?

  • - "Was that really out?" - Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, the check.

  • Scissors, paper, rock.

  • Scissors, paper, rock.

  • - Woo! - Fu...

  • - It's the opposite. - Yeah.

  • - Oh, what the hell is this? - Ohh...

  • Dude, that's -

  • I am gonna go harder.

  • Are you serious?

  • - Da-da-da-da-da-da... - Dude, you're not gonna make past line two.

  • This video's going to be two minutes long.

  • Alright, for the sake of the video and my sanity.

  • Maybe a bit slower...

  • I'm so nervous.

  • Ahh!! Hahahaha!

  • Ahahaha!

  • - C natural. C natural. - Nah, nah, nah, nah.

  • Second attempt.

  • - Ohh... - Reverse card.

  • - Development card. - That was too stupid, this dumbass move.

  • - No way! - Ohh!

  • - Ohh!! - No way!

  • Oh...

  • - You f***ing actually made it. - 120.

  • - Oh my god, alright. - 120.

  • Did I play that right?

  • The chords...

  • I played the right chord!

  • - Oh, you did. - I second -

  • - Urgh... - Oh, okay, dude.

  • - Okay, well - - I'm trying to think if I should use my second attempt.

  • Nah, I don't like this piece.

  • I'm not gonna play it.

  • I'll let you take this.

  • - I need to get focused. - This is getting intense.

  • 40 hours every day, man.

  • Oh my god.

  • How's this level four?

  • Dude, five flats.

  • Oh, shi -

  • - Ohh! - Scissors, paper, rock!

  • - Urgh! - I don't know if that's good or bad anymore.

  • Dude, there's five flats! What the hell is going on?

  • You don't need the sul G. Just...

  • - Nah, you gotta do it. - Okay.

  • - We can try. - Alright, let's do it.

  • - I might need a bit of space for this. - Alright, here we go.

  • It's just out of tune.

  • Oh, holy s***.

  • Dude...

  • Oh my god!

  • Ohh! D flat!

  • I'm using my second attempt.

  • Right here. Right here!

  • D flat...

  • Argh!

  • If you make this through, I gotta play it at 100.

  • F*** that.

  • No... I gotta do a 100.

  • Dude, that is fast.

  • Yeah.

  • - That is fast! - Yeah!

  • It's not a key you wanna jump right into, you know?

  • I'm not ready for this key.

  • That's so dumb, I saw it coming!

  • And I still played the freaking D natural!

  • And that G.

  • Yeah.

  • Ooo...

  • Scissors, paper, rock.

  • S***!

  • I can't even use my last wild card.

  • - This one only works for... - Oh, no...

  • - I know I will be using this. - Should have used it on round three.

  • - I should use this. - I should have used it on round three.

  • Woah, dude, there's so many accidentals.

  • - And it's written so like you can't read it. Yeah. - It's small.

  • I'm gonna go real slow.

  • Alright, I'm not in the mood to think too much.

  • So, I'm just gonna go for it.

  • Yeah, good luck.

  • Woah...

  • Ahahahaha.

  • I second doubted. It was C sharp.

  • - No... - Oh...

  • Alright, reverse, slow 50.

  • Dun-dun~ That's slow.

  • What?

  • - Nah! It's E sharp! - Oh!

  • You played an E!

  • That's - What is that?

  • That was right!

  • Fine, keep going. It was very questionable that E sharp.

  • I held it too long, I realized I held it too long.

  • Cause I was looking at the notes.

  • Noo!

  • I guess mine is also questionable.

  • Yeah.

  • - Okay, alright, you know what? - Alright.

  • This sucks.

  • Eddy's gonna eat a Tim Tam.
