  • [slow jazz music]

  • - What's up guys?

  • I'm Justine Skye and I'm gonna do my skin care routine

  • and a night look with some of my favorite colors.

  • I have emerald.

  • Green's my favorite color so I'm gonna do like a

  • green emeraldy kind of smoky eye.

  • First this is a big secret of mine.

  • I've actually never actually said this to anyone

  • but, you know ladies, sometimes you have a little

  • you know, a little.

  • So this is something that I love to use

  • because I don't like to laser.

  • Everyone says just laser it, laser hair removal

  • or like threading, which is so painful.

  • This is Olay hair removal.

  • It's very gentle.

  • It never like leave scars sometimes.

  • I've tried a lot of things 'cause I tend to get

  • a little nestar sometimes.

  • Yeah so first, this is the first step,

  • it's two products.

  • Its' this, which is like a balm

  • that you apply before

  • and then the actual hair removal cream.

  • This is just to protect your skin

  • from whatever chemicals are in this.

  • I look like an old man with a [laughing]

  • So my next step is after that

  • I'm gonna wash my face.

  • This is really gentle on my skin.

  • It's clinique acne solution.

  • And I learned this from my mom.

  • I just saw her using it so growing up

  • I was just like I'm gonna do what my mom does.

  • And so it's a three step kind of thing.

  • So this is first, a foam.

  • I'm gonna do two pumps of this.

  • Now I'm gonna wash it off.

  • So our next step is I take the acne solution

  • clarifying lotion, which is kind of like a toner,

  • and I just put it on a little pad thingy.

  • Next is one of my favorite, favorite things.

  • This is my beauty elixir misty thing.

  • And I'm sure ya'll know what it is.

  • All the beauty people out there love this one.

  • This is a gem.

  • And it smells great.

  • It just makes me feel beautiful.

  • It makes me feel so beautiful.

  • I don't even know what it's doing.

  • It's probably not even doing anything bug it just.

  • So I just got a flight and I'm back home in New York

  • and I found these in the airport.

  • So let's try it out guys.

  • This is the hemp cucumber face mask.

  • These things are always so tricky.

  • I don't know who face they like use

  • to make these things but.

  • My friends are so good at putting these on

  • and I'm just a mess.

  • Okay.

  • Insert music here [laughing]

  • So I'm gonna take it off.

  • Whew look at that!

  • Glowy.

  • And I guess I'll just massage this into my face

  • 'cause my face needs a little love

  • after that play it's just like

  • it needs it.

  • Killing it.

  • The dramatically different lotion and the moisturizer.

  • And then I put just like a few drops

  • of the daily concentrate oil.

  • This is for the day time.

  • And I rub it in

  • and I get the neck.

  • A lot of people forget to get their neck as well too

  • as if it doesn't exist.

  • All right so now I'm gonna use my homegirl's lip moisturizer

  • This is the super balm by K Beauty.

  • It's like my favorite.

  • I always have it on me everywhere I go and

  • it's the best and I'm not just saying that.

  • And then I'm also

  • gonna use her retinol infused eye mask.

  • They're so cute and every time I'm getting my makeup done,

  • whether I'm doing it or a makeup artist is doing it,

  • I like to just throw it on there to get rid of

  • all the puffiness or whatever it is.

  • Ow.

  • [laughing] I almost poked myself in the eye.

  • Nails.

  • And they're just cute.

  • So now I'm gonna use some primer.

  • We're gonna get into the makeup.

  • I want to do my baby hairs guys.

  • I wouldn't say I'm the extreme best at it

  • but I get the job done, you know.

  • And I'm using this,

  • eco styler gel.

  • And we're gonna get a little ratcher right now,

  • the toothbrush, and I put it like on the back of my hand

  • so I can just.

  • This side gives me the most struggle.

  • And then I like to like give it a little swoop right here.

  • Some people like to do this after they do their makeup.

  • But I like to do it before because

  • it can kind of mess up the foundation around.

  • So I got started on the internet doing,

  • I guess I never did tutorial videos,

  • but I was a tumblr girl.

  • So I was just experimenting with being myself.

  • I got on tumblr when I was like 16, 15, 16.

  • In high school I remember the day because my friend, Jahday,

  • she was over at my house and she was like

  • just on tumbler and I was like what is this thing

  • that you're on.

  • And I kinda was just sitting there observing her

  • and she was like I have 3,000 followers.

  • And I was like I can get more followers than you.

  • And she was like I highly doubt that,

  • like no one even knows you on tumblr.

  • And I was like watch me.

  • And so I got on tumblr and I did,

  • I did get more followers than her [laughing]

  • And we kinda created this,

  • this world for ourselves.

  • The New York tumblr kids

  • and we just encouraged each other

  • in whatever it was we wanted to do.

  • Whether it was like fashion or photography or music

  • and designing.

  • So yeah that's when my, I guess,

  • professional music career started.

  • So this is a lifesaver that I'm sure

  • everybody knows about already.

  • My eyebrow pen cil thing.

  • So I kind of stopped doing my eyebrows

  • for like six months and then I started to develop

  • this crazy unibrow, which I thought was kinda cool

  • but then I started doing photo shoots

  • and it started to show up too crazy on it.

  • And I was like you know what, let me do it.

  • So I tweezed them.

  • Well I didn't do it, someone did.

  • Sometimes I, you know, give a snatch brow.

  • But then right now I'm feeling like a natural

  • kind of a fluffy situation.

  • Even though I keep saying that I keep going back.

  • Boom.

  • I'm just gonna clean up a little bit underneath,

  • just a little bit.

  • This is a little bit of concealer.

  • I just came across some old photos of me

  • when I thought I was doing something with my makeup.

  • Girl, if I could talk to myself

  • I'd be like just don't even put it on.

  • Don't even bother.

  • But you know, you have to go through those phases

  • in order to

  • see what's right.

  • Fiona was wrong.

  • How will you know it's right?

  • Look at me

  • saying cool things.

  • Yes! She's cute.

  • So I'm gonna put a little base on the eyes

  • just so that this eyeshadow can pop up.

  • I'm gonna go in with this emerald green pallette.

  • And I think I'm gonna just go in on the outsides with this,

  • kind of like brown olive kind of just to like

  • blend it out out there.

  • Let's see how that turns out.

  • Oh, I really do like what's happening here.

  • All right, and then I'm gonna like ...

  • What should I do, what should I do?

  • Should I do this?

  • This one's kind of crazy.

  • Or should I do ...

  • All right we're going for it.

  • I'm gonna use this sparkly color in the,

  • in the, what's this, you know the part.

  • All right, so now these come off.

  • Prep and prime.

  • Now I'm gonna in with this.

  • Some foundation.

  • And I just kinda like squirt a little bit

  • on the back of my hand.

  • Put some down on the neck,

  • blend it out.

  • Boom.

  • Concealer.

  • I like to actually go bit by bit.

  • 'Cause for some reason in my head I feel like

  • it dries and that can affect you.

  • I don't if that's true or if that's just something

  • I made up in my head.

  • On like a regular day I'm probably use cafe and just like,

  • 'cause it's closer to my skin tone

  • and I just put this under my eyes.

  • Some right here, some right here

  • and use some powder,

  • cover up any like blemishes if there's any

  • and some blush.

  • And that's pretty much it.

  • Do my brows.

  • Keep it really simple.

  • Spray some mist on my face and be really dewy.

  • But we're going for kind of like

  • going out kind of a look.

  • And then you put some right here.

  • Okay I'm not like the best baker in town.

  • I bake a little bit.

  • A little bit.

  • So I'm wanna go to the bakery right now.

  • Mostly everything I know about my makeup

  • I learned from

  • makeup artists.

  • 'Cause I feel like I've been getting my makeup like

  • like I've been getting my face beat

  • since I was like 15.

  • And then I guess I'll go in with this.

  • Bronzer, just to shape the face.

  • I love like cream eyeliner.

  • This makes my eyes like open up.

  • Right now I'm going in,

  • like on the under eye, just like smoking it out.

  • This is the only thing about lashes guys,

  • is that they get, they go a little rogue sometimes.

  • So for this look, I don't think I'm gonna do blush

  • but I'm gonna do some highlighter.

  • This is my pallette.

  • The Lip Bar.

  • The Lip Bar reached out and they wanted

  • to do a collaboration and I thought like what

  • perfect concept to do for this

  • other than to like pay homage to my heritage.

  • And so this is inspired by my Jamaican roots.

  • So it's very vibrant, warm and all the names

  • are kinda like, it's the island gal collection.

  • So it's like ultra violet, which is the name of my album.

  • Bear with me, which is the name of my latest EP,

  • juju, which is my nickname that my grandma gave me

  • and island gal, which is me, island gal.

  • So this is my absolute favorite lipliner.

  • It's called chestnut.

  • And I just like to do like a brown lip.

  • I definitely am a big over liner.

  • And so then after I like outline the lip

  • I go in with like a lighter, like a nude,

  • kinda go in the middle with.

  • And brighten it up.

  • Kinda like an ombre.

  • So then just to like set it all

  • I'm gonna go back in with the Fix Plus.

  • Just kinda

  • Boom, ready for whatever it is I'm going to do.

  • This is like nighttime look.

  • I'm going out.

  • Actually I could hit the stage with this too.

  • Bye guys.
