  • This is the lock picking lawyer, and what I have for you today is an image lock brand combination lock.

  • It differs from similar products in so far as it replaces the numbers zero through 39 with 12 random images ranging from an umbrella to a monkey.

  • The combination to this particular lock is bicycle horse butterfly, and it can also be opened via a supervisor key on the back.

  • Now it bears passing.

  • Note that the replacement of 40 numbers with 12 images reduces the number of combinations from 64,000 toe about 1700.

  • But I think that difference is largely academic because there are two different bypasses that could be used to open this lock as fast or faster than dialling the combination.

  • The first is a common Shiming attack.

  • These locks have only one lug, and it's on the left side.

  • The second bypass is Justus fast, and it's the result of an unshielded Qiwei on the back.

  • You can reach through with a piece of wire and push the locking log aside to make the appropriate tool.

  • I took one of these cheap little key chains and Bennett out as such, We look inside, you can see that locking lugs moving aside as I turn the wire.

  • So while I understand this is intended to be a low security lock, I think it's still inexcusable that there are two separate bypasses that air faster than dialling the combination.

  • In any case, that's all I have for you today.
