  • This is Chang.

  • I'm back at the ground floor of the fair and I'm here with you.

  • Tell us about yourself.

  • I'm money.

  • Mr Fired from the Graduate School of Design.

  • I'm taking me urban design.

  • Student must have been beside and my current concentration is looking at affordable housing inequality in cities, um, and how we can build more housing and equity for cities.

  • It's a big problem.

  • So let's take a look at your project.

  • So my particular did Los Angeles as it pays for introducing this sort of affordable housing problems and one of the things that I started as I use a lot of giant Statham that kind of introduces a special concentration of the housing.

  • So if you see him out on my Web site, you can see that there's Metro stations and a different type of housing that I introduced in most Angeles.

  • So they say, I wanna look at the homeless housing projects and I can click on that, and it gives me a lot of information about the project I could then, if I want to know what's happening in my neighborhood, I can always and like find out exactly where the project is and it gives it exact address I can.

  • Then a lot of other housing developments on dhe.

  • Same thing I can click on it, and it gives me information about it on inventory housing.

  • So what's actually in the pipeline for the project?

  • So here I can click on it again, and it gives me all the information full.

  • I've always really liked visualizations like you can see patterns digitally that, like looking at like spreadsheets will never get it.

  • Seems like a few data sets.

  • Hardy's from anywhere particular?

  • Yes, the city of Los Angeles.

  • So they were in the form of G.

  • I s daughter that were transformed and Excel sheet that was used to place through my through tapping into faces to create this sort of Wow, That seems like an interesting technical problem that way.

  • Didn't cover fire spot.

  • Glad you made it work.

  • Yes.

  • So did you have privacy s background before this story?

  • I actually never even looked at a Korean.

  • I used to look at a good and just freak out.

  • Now I can look at it and be like, Oh, that's interesting.

  • What inspired your what?

  • Motivated, like finally take a leak.

  • Well, I was in San Francisco for my internship in summer, and what I found so interesting is how technology is taking over.

  • There have been, like, open places on in cities how it's becoming, like, really sort of admitted into the oven fabric and, like how cities operate and it's just becoming a really important appointment.

  • Sorry, but I always found this sort of disconnect between urban designers and computer scientists.

  • So hopefully by me, understanding the sort of language of programming I reached this sort of God.

  • Yeah, that seems well needed.

  • Thanks for talking to me.

  • Thank you.

  • Thanks for coming along.
