I always wanted to play in a string quartet playing into music, and when I made the transition from court tattoo an orchestra, I didn't think of it as a totally different job.

In a way, I thought of it has just moving into a larger ensemble that created the same, you know, intimate kind of interactions between the sections, but on a much larger scale.

It's quite difficult to achieve that.

But I think great orchestras often are able to create that intimacy coming here.

And you know, this week is a big week.

We have some exciting pieces, one of my favorites.

I think it's it makes me feel like I did the right thing that I had started playing in orchestras on the music.
