  • Hello, everyone.

  • My name is our she Solly and I'm a fun 10 developer on two Needed ashore.

  • A story that I'm going to share with you is the community that I'm going to talk about is the Google India scholar community.

  • Around 1000 members were all recipients off the Google Indiana scholarship program in collaboration with Udacity.

  • So when I first started my courting journey, I realized that doing it alone was very difficult.

  • I was struggling.

  • I was scraping court.

  • I didn't know what what was right about it.

  • What was wrong about it, Andi?

  • I didn't know the best practices.

  • I was just going through W three school and free court camp, and, uh, I didn't know where I was heading.

  • And I felt the need for a community.

  • And at that point, I was very lucky that I came to know about the scholarship I applied for it on.

  • I was so fortunate to be selected on Dhe At that point.

  • I really honestly, I did not know that how it was going to change my life and people that I'm going to meet in the community.

  • I remember the first day off when we had to introduce ourselves?

  • I I was so nervous.

  • I typed my introduction and my story at least 34 times because I didn't know whether there would be judgment at the other end because the community was mostly students who were, uh, in college, first year, second year, or just passed out on here.

  • I was after 11 year old care.

  • Gap s O.

  • There was a generation couple, So So I didn't know what what the reaction would be to me.

  • Like on They were so welcoming.

  • There was no judgment.

  • There was no reaction.

  • That was the best part.

  • There was no reaction.

  • It was like I was normal.

  • I was less just like them on Duh.

  • They have made my life so much more easier on they have supported me.

  • They have encouraged me.

  • They've inspired me.

  • They've helped me through so many of the challenges that I faced.

  • After that, I remember I was struggling with the collaborative projects on one of my teammates.

  • He sat with me online for more than two hours.

  • He's a college going student with a very big busy.

  • Should you?

  • Andi, he helped me make my first PR request.

  • I was so scared of making a mistake.

  • I was so scared that I was going to crash everything that I send them.

  • Screenshots of everything that I typed on the terminal on Dhe.

  • And he I mean, he was so kind.

  • Not once was he like that?

  • Can you do it faster or is it It's really simple.

  • And why are you struggling?

  • Nothing of that sort.

  • Just just a lot of kindness.

  • A lot of support on its okay, No issues.

  • I'm doing something else along with it.

  • So don't worry.

  • Just do keep keep getting back to me, that was That was the sweetest thing.

  • And he is like, I mean, what if my most favorite people So on over a period of time, we have really grown as a community.

  • We have shared stories with each other on their stories and their achievements.

  • They are so inspirational like that it has changed me as a person.

  • It has made me realize that we all have our struggles.

  • We have people in our community who are college dropouts.

  • We have people in the community who were ah do or doing research in another field on after years of doing it because of lack of funds, they had to go for a career change.

  • We have other mothers like me and people who have a care a gap on dhe.

  • There are people are who have gone through personal loss.

  • They're people who don't have regular Internet access on.

  • That is really difficult on even people who don't even have a laptop there.

  • According on there phones, you know, on.

  • I cannot imagine how difficult that is, you know, And it just made me realize that we all have our fears.

  • We all have our struggle on hard work and really trump that on the best part of the community is the selfless attitude.

  • We help each other on the people who are knowledgeable on any particular topic.

  • They set up revenues to help others.

  • We share job opportunities that we come across.

  • We share other opportunities, learning opportunities that we come across.

  • We give shoutouts to people who are doing well on.

  • We know that we stand with each other, so that is the best part.

  • I mean, these are people who have taught me the value of generosity.

  • There who have taught me that kindness exists in this world on.

  • It's a beautiful place to be in, to be with these people who are like family to me today on the trust that they've placed with me.

  • It's amazing.

  • It's changed me as a person, and it's just because of them that I have the courage to stand among all a few very nice people here on talk about them on.

  • I really, really want to hang them on Dhe.

  • I want to tang the GS conference organizers for giving me this opportunity to thank people who mean so much in my life on another pangs that I want to give this to give to the overall developer community.

  • There are a lot of people that I follow on Twitter on who are doing such amazing work on dhe.

  • They are the senior developers on.

  • They talk about struggles which we ordinary people who are just starting out, have on it makes life so much easier for us.

  • They talk about how who have been giving talks for years, and they talk about how difficult it is when they go on stage for the first, like even after the 100th time and it makes us people normal people.

  • I don't know the right word for it.

  • People who are new.

  • It makes it life easier for us.

  • So thank you to the whole community as such.
