  • Welcome to another episode of Super Easy English.

  • In today's video, we're going to talk about movie vocabulary.

  • I love watching movies.

  • It is one of my favorite hobbies, So I'm excited to talk about this topic.

  • Um, with outside.

  • Let's start.

  • Usually when I watch movies, I will watch them in a movie theater.

  • A movie theater is a place You go is the place you go toe watch movies in My City, which is Calgary.

  • One of the most popular movie theater companies is Cineplex Odeon.

  • Cineplex Odeon has many different theaters, many different movie theaters in different parts of the city.

  • So usually, if you want to watch a movie, most people in my city will go to a cineplex OD on movie theater.

  • When you go inside a movie theater, one of the first things you will see is the show times.

  • The showtimes is basically the schedule off what movies are playing and what time the movie's air playing in my city Calgary.

  • It is very common for people to look at the show Times online before you go to the movie theater, for example, I want to watch a movie called Sha Zam.

  • And so I want to go watch that movie.

  • I will go to Google and I will.

  • I will search the showtimes on Google to see what time the movie is playing and what Cineplex OD on movie theaters.

  • This movie is playing at inside the movie theater.

  • There is also the concession.

  • The concession is where you go to buy your food.

  • In Calgary, there are some very common foods that you find in the movie theater.

  • You find popcorn, you find nachos.

  • You find pizza.

  • There are hot dogs.

  • There are Candies and chocolates.

  • Sometimes you'll find ice cream.

  • There's lots of different types of foods like that that you confined inside the movie theater.

  • You will always see trailers before the movie starts.

  • A trailer or a movie trailer is a short two minute, maybe three minutes, maybe one minute video that is giving you a preview to a video that is releasing soon.

  • For example, right now there are many trailers for a movie called Avengers Avengers Endgame.

  • I think that is the title.

  • The movie is not in movie theaters.

  • Yet I cannot go to a movie theater and watch this movie, but if I go to a movie theater, I might see a trailer for this movie.

  • The purpose of the trailer is to make you excited.

  • You see the movie youth, that you see the trailer.

  • Excuse me, and you say, Wow, that movie looks good.

  • I definitely want to see that movie later.

  • Another word for a trailer that some people will use is previews.

  • For example, I might say I love watching the previews when I go to the movie theater.

  • It's just another word for trailers, but I think trailer is a little bit more common than the previews.

  • It's not like, for example, a banana.

  • Bananas are very healthy.

  • Bananas were good for you.

  • Most of no, not most.

  • Everything you find in a movie theater is not healthy.

  • There are no fruits.

  • There are no vegetables.

  • Everything tastes well, really good.

  • But it's bad for your health.

  • Oh.
