  • RICK: So what do we got here?

  • I've got a $5 New Zealand note here signed by Ed Hillary.

  • Sweet.

  • As you probably, know Ed Hillary was the first person

  • to climb Mount Everest.

  • He's the only live person to actually

  • be put on a New Zealand note.

  • I'm not sure if you know of any famous New

  • Zealand sportsmen, but--

  • No. SCOTT: No?

  • OK.

  • I bought this note from a collector.

  • I originally purchased the note because I'm

  • a mountaineer myself.

  • For me, mountaineering is a great way to see the world

  • and experience different cultures.

  • All right, this is pretty cool.

  • Definitely the original iron man.

  • SCOTT: Yeah, exactly.

  • RICK: He's been to the North Pole, the South Pole,

  • and then the third pole they call is Mount Everest.

  • SCOTT: Yep, that's right.

  • And the first guy to climb Mount Everest.

  • You know, a lot of people sit around, and think, well,

  • it can't be that hard.

  • It's absolutely insane climbing this thing.

  • I couldn't do it.

  • My knees suck.

  • In 2010, I actually climbed Mount Everest.

  • RICK: You climbed Mount Everest? SCOTT: Yeah.

  • - Did you make it to the summit? - I did not.

  • No, I went from the north side and turned

  • around just above the North Col. I

  • just didn't have it in me, so.

  • RICK: Still, that's really impressive.

  • If you think about what it would take to climb Mount Everest

  • in 1953, it makes what Ed Hillary

  • did that much more impressive.

  • I mean, he didn't have a map that told him the easiest way

  • to go.

  • I mean, basically, he just looked at the mountain

  • and said, that way looks nice.

  • [LAUGHS]

  • So how much you want for it?

  • So I'd like 250.

  • I think it's a fair price.

  • I haven't seen many of them on the market.

  • The signature is a good, clean signature.

  • Yeah, usually I call in a buddy

  • and have the signature checked out,

  • but I know all about these.

  • He signed a thousand of them.

  • And-- can I give you 225?

  • Just for the fact that someone folded the bill.

  • Yeah.

  • You see, the whole thing is, you got this whole--

  • the weirdness of collectors.

  • I mean, that is a really big deal to them

  • that the bill's folded.

  • Of course, yeah.

  • Yeah, but that goes along with the roughness

  • of mountaineering, right?

  • No.

  • [LAUGHS]

  • SCOTT: No?

  • OK, well.

  • Can't blame me for trying.

  • No, no.

  • OK, so you're 225--

  • Could you split the difference?

  • 235?

  • Done. RICK: OK.

  • Deal.

  • Perfect. Thank you.

  • This is definitely cool.

  • I like this.

  • I'll meet you up front, we'll write this up.

  • SCOTT: Perfect.

  • RICK: This bill might not sell right away here in Vegas,

  • but I'm confident I will make a profit on it.

  • What can I say?

  • I like money.

  • [LAUGHS]

RICK: So what do we got here?
