  • This is the lock picking lawyer, and what I have for you today is one of the strangest concepts and car locks that I've seen in a while.

  • It's a device that locks onto the valve stem of your car's tire and releases air if the car is driven faster than about 17 miles an hour.

  • The thought is that a thief is likely to abandon a car rather than driving with or attempting to fix a flat tire.

  • It works like this.

  • First, you take one of these two adapters and tighten it onto the valve stem with the included Allen wrench.

  • We can then take the device locket over the adaptor on.

  • That's all there is to it.

  • While this really is an interesting concept, I can't say I'm impressed with the execution.

  • The reason is that this device is secured by a wafer lock in that wafer lock is comically easy to rake open.

  • Let me show you just how bad it is.

  • We're going to use this wiper insert and this wave rake, and just that quickly, we got it open.

  • Let's lock it on one more time and check to make sure that was not a fluke, Justus.

  • Quickly, it is open again.

  • So as you saw, this could be opened in just a few moments with a low skill raking attack.

  • Thus, while it certainly is an interesting concept, it's also something that can be defeated rapidly by a novice.

  • In any case, that's all I have for you today.
