  • why am i sick of seeing self-love everywhere a lot of people don't know

  • what it means exposed to you guys what is the first step for this journey of

  • evolution of self self-love will be the result of that all hi guys welcome back

  • to my channel today I want to talk about a subject that I'm kind of sick of

  • seeing everywhere self-love I know it's kind of

  • contradicting everything I've been saying so far but let me explain why am

  • i sick of seeing the term self-love everywhere because I feel like it got to

  • a point where it's such dislike really trendy word everyone's using yet a lot

  • of people don't know what it means and how to get there and how does it feel I

  • really wanted to sit down and explain to you how to get to that final destination

  • that is self-love because self-love is the end product of a journey that you

  • all have to go through to get here yet what we see in the media is just this

  • and I feel like it leaves a lot of question marks and a lot of wrong

  • definitions of what it is I decided that instead of focusing on that I want to

  • get to the root of what led me to get to the end result and the root of it all in

  • my opinion is self awareness so what is self awareness self awareness is and I'm

  • going to read the definition of it so I'm not gonna mess it up because I don't

  • want to say things that are not true okay

  • self awareness is the capacity for introspection and the ability to

  • recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other

  • individuals so I'm starting this talk about self awareness to expose to you

  • guys what is the first step for this journey of evolution of self and the

  • growing and they're learning to embrace yourself and your imperfections and who

  • you are and know that you're worthy and know that you have value to bring to the

  • world and own it that's what gets you to that position of self-love of respecting

  • who you are loving who you are and just be

  • strong enough to go out there and be who you are because it's not easy these days

  • so it was a journey and it's still a journey I think that it's a lifelong

  • journey and that's so beautiful about it you will be faced with new challenges

  • every single day that we put who you are as a person your morals your values to

  • the test if you want to go after what you want if you want to build a career

  • that you want if you want to find the right partner if you want to just feel

  • comfortable with who you are self-awareness has to happen you have to

  • plant that seed right away so I wanted to tell you about five ways that I

  • practice self-awareness every single day things that I truly feel are making a

  • huge difference and just connecting myself more with myself and hopefully it

  • will help you as well the first thing is quality alone time as I mentioned with

  • my modeling career it really threw me into this alone time it's not something

  • that I intentionally chose to do but I'm so happy that it happened quality alone

  • time is not when you just alone in your room turn on Netflix and spend time with

  • yourself no it has to be an intentional alone time it has to be a time where you

  • can reflect where you can connect yourself where you are alone with your

  • thoughts and your feelings and there's no distractions around you the second

  • thing is getting a feedback and constructive criticism from the people

  • around you that's a wonderful tool that can help you grow and learn more about

  • yourself because a lot of the times were so caught up in our own head and in our

  • own thoughts that we can't see things clearly so going to the people that you

  • love and trust and you know one the best for you and ask them for their opinion

  • for their feedback it's such a cheap easy way to learn more about yourself

  • it's valuable information that will just help you grow and have more insight

  • about who you are and how you present yourself to the world but something very

  • very important to remember when you do go out there and ask for feedback and

  • ask for criticism and ask for advice make sure to qualify those people I

  • wouldn't go for my mother for business advice but I would go to my mother for

  • things like family and the choices she made as a young woman and anything with

  • children I would go to someone that I respect in different areas of life so I

  • think that what happens a lot of the times is that we go and ask for advice

  • from people that haven't been themselves don't have the knowledge don't have the

  • expertise and when they say oh you know it's all gonna be okay and you just get

  • frustrated because you're like how is it gonna be okay

  • I feel like it's a very kind of dead and thing so be smart about who you go to

  • for different things and learn from those people the third thing is

  • mindfulness and meditation that's something that is extremely important

  • and today we do live at a time where there's so many studies that's been done

  • to show the benefits of it on our quality of life on her brain on the way

  • we feel and act so meditation is definitely more complicated thing and

  • that's something that I'm actually kind of attacking right now where I'm going

  • out there looking for help looking for someone knowledgeable that can teach me

  • on a deeper level what meditation is because right now I feel what's out

  • there in the world is very surfaced so I really want to get to the root of it and

  • then mindfulness is that you can do every single thing in your life from

  • making your coffee to talking to someone to listening in a mindful state of mind

  • I think that's so much more powerful it also lets you listen and be open to

  • things rather than just react and be close to all the lessons that other

  • people in the universe can teach you so being mindful is definitely a powerful

  • wonderful thing that just helps you slow down and learn how to breathe

  • which surprisingly enough we are not doing enough of it today remember to

  • read you guys we don't read enough the next thing is asking yourself the

  • question why this is so extremely important and really ties in to kind of

  • the first thing you can ask yourself the question why when you

  • that intentional alone-time also at the end of every single day ask yourself the

  • question why why something made you feel a certain way why something triggered a

  • negative reaction in you why do you do the things that you do why did you say

  • the thing that you say keep asking that question why will really help you to get

  • to the deeper deeper deeper cause of an issue a lot of the times when we get

  • triggered by different things that other people say is actually just a mere - you

  • know an unsolved issue that's going on inside other people's anger or other

  • people's attitude shouldn't trigger something in you so remember that and

  • challenge yourself challenge your thoughts challenge the way react and

  • your patterns as a person that's the only way to grow the next thing is

  • journaling a lot of people do journaling and I'm so happy to see that but some of

  • you that maybe don't know what journaling is it's basically just

  • putting your thoughts and your lessons and anything and everything on paper not

  • only will it gives you time to reflect it also your spitting out those thoughts

  • so they don't like block and clog your head and become a bigger thing that it

  • actually is because that's something that as humans do quite often and it

  • also helps you to hold yourself accountable if there are things that you

  • wrote there that you promise you're gonna do or things that you promise

  • you're gonna change new patterns that you want to adapt it will hold you

  • accountable so these are the five ways that I don't see a reason that anyone

  • can't incorporate it into their lives on a daily basis and I truly feel like it's

  • gonna make a huge difference just please remember you have to be consistent and

  • it has to be intentional and keep doing it keep at it we are on such a beautiful

  • journey of growing and forming into the powerful beings that we all are so give

  • yourself the space to do it it's really really important and very

  • beneficial practicing these five ways and adapting more and bring more

  • self-awareness into your life will give you you back the power to be in charge

  • of your own happiness of your thoughts of your emotions of the way you behave

  • and there's nothing more powerful than that can you imagine if you are so happy

  • and so content with yourself that no matter what's going on around you you

  • are in tune and in control of your own being that's what I want us to focus on

  • self-love will be the result of that all thank you guys so much for watching I'll

  • see you next time

why am i sick of seeing self-love everywhere a lot of people don't know
