October 7th marked the beginning of a three week space adventure for the Dragon Spacecraft launching atop the Falcon nine Rocket Dragon blast into space and into Earth's orbit.

After circling Earth for about two days, it caught up to the international space station.

That's NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, who, along with Akihiko Hoshide of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, captured Dragon and anxiously opened the hatch to achieve crew supplies, materials for important science research hardware and even some ice cream.

Sarah, Desert Night Dragon is expected to stay attached to the space station until October 28th.

It will be loaded with over £1500 of cargo, which will then return to Earth in the Pacific Ocean Splash down Dragon is currently the only craft capable of returning a significant amount of supplies from the station.

One of the most interesting and unique aspects of this vehicle and follow along will be that it can bring back to Earth.

This is Dragon Second visit to the space station just this year and certainly not its last.

There will be a least 11 more trips planned and Dragon is currently being designed to carry astronauts in the future as well.
