  • So, as many of you know by now just moved into a new office, new house, new office, and this video, we're gonna be building out the office for the most part.

  • Got to build a new desktop for that desk.

  • There gonna be building a whole new desk right here.

  • Is gonna be Wood is gonna match the wood that I put on this desktop.

  • And I was also considering doing a new desktop there.

  • But I kind of like that black desk on that standing desk.

  • Where's this is also a standing desk here.

  • That's basically gonna be it.

  • Also, there's going to be a bookshelf put up right here, and we'll be able to see how far we get in this video today before we actually have our whole entire room tour.

  • Once I once I put all this office stuff together, put that PC stuff together.

  • Then we'll have the full on like, this is my office.

  • But today it's work.

  • But first, let's rewind a bit all the way back to before we even moved in.

  • This is what it looked like.

  • Not very clean then.

  • Not very bright.

  • Since then.

  • The office got a new paint job, a new light fixture.

  • Some can lights there and there.

  • And I moved all of my stuff.

  • Then I moved it again to how you see it today.

  • Now we can get to work.

  • All right, I'll be honestly, I'm really bad at recording stuff.

  • When I got work to do but picked up the truck, I got these Rays flowerbed.

  • It's fire Gardens, whatever the heck you want to call him from this, which is our old house.

  • We got bunch of wood for everything I discussed earlier in the office and a bunch of mulch because there's a lot to get done at this old house.

  • Probably also strap this thing down with some ratchet straps that doesn't come flying out on the road.

  • The new wood I got are won by eight by six foot.

  • I got six boards of those for the Death shelf thing as well as the desk.

  • And then I got one by 10 by look, I think 10 or 12 foot for the booth.

  • Well, I think that's the last thing I really need to get from this house, except for that piece of wood, because I kind of got to dispose of that mother.

  • And that here gives you better look of the 61 by eight boards that I'm gonna be using for the desk shelf thing and the desktop.

  • Then you can also see my makeshift workstation in the background.

  • I'm still settling in.

  • We're gonna start over the death shelf, which is just simply to board that I'm gonna be screened together.

  • Got a Jill in the pocket.

  • Holes, as you see here in order to fit my screws from more bored into the other and connected to a total of six pocket holes, are being drilled to in the middle to in the left to the right.

  • Okay, now it's time to attach the two boards That'll make up our desk shelf after throw wood glue on the side of one of the board's clamp those two boards together and then insider pocket screws.

  • Here I was making sure that the underneath, which will eventually be the top of my desk, are level because although I can do sanding, I want that to be a minimal step of the process, and I want to get these as flush as possible for the desk is the same idea.

  • Except instead of drilling pocket holes into one board, we're gonna be drilling pocket holes into three boards.

  • Now be connecting them one by one until we get to four.

  • All right.

  • It seems as though my camera cut off and I was doing it.

  • This last board right here, Not very fun.

  • It was all bent out of shape whatnot, but finally got it working.

  • Not without splitting the wood a little bit right there and that not right there in the wood.

  • Kind of splitting a little bit, but that's not that big of a deal.

  • I don't know if you could see that I'm talking about right there, but I think it would be just fine.

  • So that is what's going to be going up against a wall, essentially a shelf I didn't have, uh I'm not gonna build the legs for it.

  • I think what I want to do is hang it from some type of l bracket bracket was the word I was trying to say, and then this is going to replace the curtain Current wouldn't top.

  • And if you're wondering what differences between this one and the other one besides a stain.

  • This is longer and wider.

  • Then the other one.

  • Sure, I could have added on to the other one, but and figured I was here.

  • Why not just build a whole new one?

  • Now it's time to break out the miter saw and work on the bookcase is, well, a square of these edges up here.

  • So here's the thing with the bookcase.

  • I began working on it and then soon realized that I wasn't very happy with the design of the entire thing.

  • So I have postponed it and moved on to standing by desktops.

  • My main focus when standing this particular death was just a round out the edges for comfort to sand off the top in order to remove any debris that may have fallen on.

  • And just get that little bit of that extra smoothness that I felt like I needed and then maybe touched on a little bit of where the wood glue seeped out.

  • Or where it wasn't completely flush, Sandpaper used.

  • I don't remember the exact grit, but it was fairly high.

  • Who was a finishing sandpaper?

  • Nothing that was too aggressive.

  • I took a rag and wiped off all that dust that had just created in preparation for Stane.

  • Stane I used was quite a bit lighter than I have used in the past.

  • Generally, I liked it fairly dark, but this go around, we used American Wanda.

  • This particular brand was American.

  • Wanna wood stained by their thing?

  • They have a standard.

  • I would call it a CZ.

  • Well, as a premium, this is just a standard.

  • Applied that to the top of the desk and then the side long ways of the desk.

  • When the in green I tested on an end that I knew it was gonna be facing the wall.

  • And I didn't like how dark it got.

  • It blended better by just leaving it there.

  • And that's what I did.

  • All right, It's been a couple days now.

  • Overnight on that first night, we allowed the state to dry.

  • And ever since then, I just haven't had enough time to actually get this done.

  • Plus, my office is looking a little hair Innis besides the dogs playing right here.

  • Who is it?

  • We have all this crap on this where your could still see and frame.

  • That's where this desktop is gonna go and all of this needs to be pushed going over that way, I can use these brackets here in order to attached to my hang.

  • I mean, find the studs in the wall.

  • I want to put these up on it around this desk height right here.

  • And obviously, this is gonna hold up that.

  • That's why I always refer to that as the desk shelf thing.

  • Because there's no legs on it.

  • It's just a desk.

  • But moving everything over kind of seems a little boring.

  • So how about we just kind of like, How about this?

  • How about we take these two brackets, rub together a little bit and then, like, one final blow?

  • But wait, What about Brad?

  • Let's go.

  • Ready to shake him?

  • Lucy, Did you see them, right?

  • What you'll see here is a nice clean.

  • It would y'all might may not actually see that from there.

  • Basically, what you see here is everything just about moved over that much this over, but get into it anyway.

  • So considering it's a standing desk, there are a few more things we need to remove.

  • First the power supply unit, then the control unit.

  • Then we could remove the desktop from the desk.

  • Considering the new desk is quite a bit longer, What I had to do is extend the base so that it would better fit the new desktop.

  • All right, so this is how it looks here on top.

  • You can see.

  • Not too bad in here.

  • I got my stud finder.

  • I'm gonna move on to this guy with brackets over there because because I ended up finding him after I did all the cleaning stuff, Boy, Not until after dinner, because my camera is about to die, and I'm hungry.

  • Back from dinner.

  • Camera showers cleared everything out the way I determined how tall I wanted the desk to sit.

  • Because this isn't a standing desk.

  • This is drilled into the wall.

  • I drew those lines and made sure they were all nice and even just stud finder to find studs.

  • I took the brackets and marked out where I need to be drilling my holes, and then I got to drill it.

  • Once I made sure all those holes were in studs and ready to roll.

  • It took my brackets, screwed those in with some pretty gnarly screws that we're probably sitting in about 2.5 3 inches pretty thick as well.

  • Got those in nice and sturdy place my desk shelf thing on top.

  • You seem a little 3/4 and screws to connect to the desk to the brackets, and that's all she wrote about a week later.

  • I finally found some time to finish this stuff up, but finally, Cabinet needed handles.

  • I put handles on it.

  • The office was a mess and I want to show it off in the recap.

  • So I cleaned that up as well.

  • All right, that's how the office is gonna have to sit for now.

  • Obviously have a few things to work on the Echo.

  • I need to order a few things to dampen the sand within this room.

  • Sword.

  • Some of that stuff obviously have us take a look.

  • These few pictures right here, although I don't really see how that's going to help the Echo, but don't put up a little bit of style in the room, and then what we've got going on right here, obviously, the death shell thing that is nice and sturdy with a few practice that we put on there.

  • It's not going anywhere.

  • I mean, that's a sturdy shelf desk and then the PC.

  • Now you may be wondering why am I not gonna, like, finish setting up everything, especially considering I'm out trying this video this because, I mean, you probably already know.

  • But now we have.

  • That's a little treat coming up next to video the new PC build.

  • So I don't want to get to situated with this PC just yet.

  • You know, instead of Mike and whatever.

  • I studied to work on this video whatnot, but wouldn't be building that PC here tomorrow, and that's gonna be pretty nice, then.

  • Obviously, all saw me removed this from the desk and replaced it with this nice, much bigger desktop.

  • This is one board wider and about a foot long.

  • I think the other one came to about right there.

  • So maybe a little bit more than a foot.

  • And let me tell you, it makes a huge difference.

  • It really does, like this is much bigger.

  • That kind of looked just like a okay.

  • It was just kind of there to put some stuff on.

  • This Looks like an actual desk.

  • Obviously have light bag.

  • Here, have my mike stand back there than my tripod, which I obviously move around the room for whatever I need to record filing cabinet for important documents because I'm very unorganized.

  • I need to get organized with some of my important documents and then to touch one this right bc bill putting it in a new case, H 500.

  • And I got our Oji Swift 27 inch monitor, which will allow this to become a door monitor set up with one a really good monitor in one insanely good monitor.

  • That is a game.

  • I wonder if you know, you know, And then over in this corner, I have this whole cabin on top has received our box.

  • The globe that you saw has little knickknacks has my books that are gonna be going on my bookshelf, which, by the way, was going to go right here.

  • But I decided not to build that right now because I just didn't like the design that I was running with.

  • And I just need to reevaluate exactly how I want to do the bookshelf.

  • I'm going to effectively.

  • How's the new case within the bookshelf?

  • But maybe about the bookshelf right here.

  • I don't know I just need a bookshelf and said that this thing, I actually may make this a bar type of deal that maybe comes up to around that height or so.

  • But that has yet to be determined.

  • Once I get all that figured out, at least this office in a better spot in which it is now.

  • Like I said, stuff hanging up.

  • You guys will see a full on off this tour and that will come soon.

  • Remember, Fjord subscribed.

  • Yet my next video is gonna be the PC building.

  • We have a lot more coding related videos in the near future, so subscribe for that.

  • I appreciate your watching till next time.

So, as many of you know by now just moved into a new office, new house, new office, and this video, we're gonna be building out the office for the most part.
