  • she's Hi, guys.

  • I'm Jess.

  • I am your unofficial beauty expert.

  • Unofficial beauty expert.

  • For three reasons.

  • I have a lab coat.

  • I have a fancy tie.

  • And I also used to work at Sephora.

  • If he saw in the first video he saw, I made it Do it yourself glitter lip.

  • One of the scariest moments of my entire life.

  • I am so excited today.

  • We're gonna be looking at almost every glitter, shimmer and highlighter under a microscope.

  • We're going to be looking at color, payoff, shine, texture and ultimately, which products are right for you.

  • So let's get into it.

  • We're gonna start with some different items to prep your skin to give you a little bit of shimmer before your foundation or to give you that like skin is prepped.

  • Look, plant water First, we're gonna look at my bare skin.

  • I mean, this spot on my face that I've removed the makeup the rest of my face has make both our beautiful Oh, and there is my flesh.

  • Even though every room, my makeup, you can still see a little shimmer, she stays with us.

  • Glitters and shimmers are notoriously hard to get off the moistness in your skin causes them to stick.

  • Kind of like how a suction cup sticks to your shower.

  • Now we're gonna try 7 24 karat gold beauty oil.

  • You can see little flecks of gold in the dropper, which is Noyce.

  • Not super glittery, but feel moisture.

  • There are no proven skin care benefits yet toe having gold in your beauty products, but they're always fun to look at.

  • But take a look.

  • Oh, I look juicy.

  • There's lots of tiny, tiny pieces of glitter or gold, if you will.

  • If you love using gold flecks of your skin care, just be sure to read the label and know the ingredients.

  • Sometimes it's aluminum spray painted with 24 karat gold, similar to how cheap Drori is made and we're not cheap jewelry.

  • Okay, now that I'm all bucked in shine, I'm gonna put foundation on top and we're gonna see if any of the products show through.

  • I like to.

  • I put product on the back of my hand and then warm it up with my body heat.

  • I find that make sure makeup look smoother and, like, more natural when it supplies.

  • The product is kind of slipping and sliding on top of this kind of making a mess, tried dabbing instead of rubbing and see if that works better.

  • It does not, huh?

  • I don't understand what's happened.

  • Looks like I have craters in my face.

  • Pretty sure that's where my foundation is.

  • Like trying to stick to my skin.

  • Like what is that?

  • What is this?

  • I see three flecks of shimmer.

  • Now we're gonna try an illuminating powder Kind of looks like I'm just putting baby powder on my face.

  • Let's check it out.

  • Underneath the microscope It looks like a sandstorm on my face, Lots of shimmer and, like different size shimmer too.

  • But it's really fine.

  • So it looks more like a shimmer that happens from within or like from light reflecting on your face and less like you applied like a glitter stick.

  • Yeah, my flesh basically looks like a very finely grated disco ball.

  • Less sitting.

  • She's back.

  • Now we're gonna try out some eye shadows.

  • First, the affordable one.

  • I'm gonna use my finger because newsflash, you could apply eye shadow with your fingers.

  • It's gonna be okay.

  • I also like to use my fingers because I feel like it wastes less product and less gets stuck in my brushes.

  • And I also don't have to wash my brushes.

  • It doesn't travel as far as I like.

  • The color payoff is nice.

  • Let's try the more expensive one.

  • I'm gonna use a different finger.

  • The authority tell.

  • It's like super buttery when you first pick it up, and I bet you I will be able to cover my whole island without having to go back down.

  • I mean, what I said I was right.

  • This is prom thing.

  • This is the red shimmers, and highlighters are made with a variety of ingredients.

  • Some of the most popular ingredients are pearls, which is the actual pearl being ground up into a shimmer.

  • Or Myka, which is another naturally occurring ingredient, which we will break down later.

  • Or for Cilic eight, which is really fine glass flakes.

  • But relax.

  • They will not cut you.

  • Why do you always argue with me?

  • Okay, I can still see my skin showing through.

  • Also, let's remember like I built on this.

  • I would say this is about five swipes of eye shadow, so it's pretty translucent.

  • Now let's go to the expensive Soit opulence.

  • It's so finally ground in the evenly coats the entire surface.

  • And there's different shades of gold, which gives it like a multi dimensional shine, which is I'm obsessed with looking at that one because it looks so good.

  • It's a sign of a good product.

  • It looks good here, and then it also looks beautiful under the microscope.

  • Honestly, you're welcome.

  • I've just sold you that eye shadow.

  • Now we're going to try a liquid shimmer.

  • I'm really excited for this one.

  • I'm gonna watch it on my hand first, with no product around it, so we can see what it looks like.

  • This has more of machines than a sparkle.

  • So I think I'm going to hypothesize.

  • She's a scientist that when we look at this underneath the microscope, it's going to be with tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny particles versus large chunks of shimmer like we saw in the last two products.

  • It's definitely opaque, and there is a big color pay off, so this is more like a sheen or metallic finish.

  • Unless of a sparkle, it's more uniform and opaque.

  • It's not like the separated, chunky glitter that we would see in something that's a little bit more shimmery.

  • It's like like thousands, thousands, billions of tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, like glitter dust.

  • It almost looks blurry, but it's not.

  • That's just sell shiny.

  • Everything is I really need to put this on my eyes.

  • Just a little test.

  • Now we're gonna move on to a glitter eye product.

  • We all love glitter.

  • I love a glitter, but I have to be with you.

  • They are not good for the environment.

  • So, please, if you insist on using them, get rid of it responsibly.

  • Don't rinse them down the sink or down the back tub, wiped them off, Remove them and put them in the trash.

  • Some brands have done some research into making biodegradable glitters for quitters Don't have plastic, but we still have a long way to go.

  • Now we're gonna try our first actual glitter product juicy.

  • I'm not ready because I know what this looks like already.

  • I really ah, uh you can see all these tiny, perfectly shaped hexagons, and that's because they're stamped plastic.

  • This extra goop that's film former, which is adhesive that safe to put on your face.

  • I want to see what this looks like layers aliens come picking up.

  • I actually say that, like every day, Like beat me up, Cut to be getting beamed up in the oh, now we're gonna try a duo Chrome or like an eyeshadow topper.

  • I really like to swirl my finger out in this get like plenty of product Woo.

  • It's pretty on my feet.

  • I could barely see it.

  • Maybe the points call this topper, but you can see green and then like a pretty sometimes I shadows and highlighters say color changing.

  • But what they're referring to its duo duo Chrome doesn't actually react to anything and change color.

  • There are already two colors in the product, and they reveal themselves based on the angle.

  • It's like, um, er me, but look at it under the microscope, but okay, buckle up, cause here's my theory.

  • Endure Chrome's.

  • I think there's more of a reflective pigment to create, like a mirror effect that makes it look completely opaque and like my actual skin is green.

  • And then here's the pink side, which is very interesting.

  • Looks like two different products.

  • There are some color changing products which use thermal stabilizers, which change color based off the temperature of your skin.

  • Now that science so Kourtney should be layer it, I want to layer it.

  • Let's layer it.

  • Here she goes.

  • Oh, yeah.

  • Uh, I'm literally turning into a celestial being.

  • Okay, More expensive eye shadow cannot be layered upon.

  • She's not allowing it.

  • There's a lot more pigment on this side, so it's not as Linda Bowl.

  • We're gonna finish this amazing and natural.

  • I look with metallic eyeliner.

  • Metallic.

  • It's in reference to the color.

  • It doesn't mean there's actually metal in the product.

  • It's the same shimmer particles.

  • They're just colored like metals.

  • I'm gonna watch this on my hand so we could see what it looks like alone.

  • And then I'm gonna finish the island.

  • But honestly, you could do once.

  • Wife, that's a nice and smooth Let's look at it under a maker sky.

  • Oh, wow.

  • This product actually has a bunch of different shimmer ingredients.

  • You can see all these different colors and shapes and textures, just like really ground down to a fine, fine fine particles to make it look like a solid strike.

  • And now it's finished off the island.

  • You know the look is done.

  • One shell line it, and it frames everything, and it doesn't even look that shimmery.

  • But it has, like, just a little bit of extra.

  • I also dare you to show me someone that could put eyeliner on without opening their mouth.

  • That's impossible.

  • This look is called.

  • I tried every tester at Sephora.

  • Yeah, I'm back, and I need a break.

  • I've removed all of my foundation, and now we're gonna apply a mask to get some calming, relaxing self care.

  • That is not a mask.

  • This looks like this is a mask.

  • I don't think any of the glitter is gonna have any skin care benefits, but it's fun.

  • It's gonna paint my face.

  • It's this particular Oh, this is she's affirming treatment.

  • This is gonna peel off.

  • We remember what happened last time.

  • I had to feel something.

  • Well, well, this is like Mrs Doubtfire meets a drag show.

  • And honestly, I'm more familiar with the drag.

  • Okay, so at first I wasn't more defined, but now I'm truly having the time of my life.

  • Oh, my drive.

  • All right.

  • I was so scared is gonna stuck that into my nose.

  • What?

  • Okay, we're back on track.

  • We're back on Trump.

  • Could you imagine if I was an alien and I beamed this up into my spaceship?

  • I would send it right back down.

  • I feel like I don't know.

  • I don't know that she was super weird.

  • Way had to sit her back.

  • Okay, let's get that.

  • Where's O?

  • Here it is.

  • Oh, we meet again.

  • I've been missing the way you touch me, baby kisses on you gave me.

  • Honestly.

  • Opening scene of euphoria is literally so glittery.

  • It's almost impossible to focus on.

  • As you can see, we have perfect hexagons, which is stamped plastic.

  • So we will be peeling this mask off and throwing it in the trash.

  • No rinsing down the sink or in the tub.

  • You can also see like the gel, which is the treatment part of the mask.

  • And we see cute little air bubbles in the air by bars.

  • Ah, they're really que such a loser.

  • Something else that I like to do to relax is watch slime videos on guests.

  • One.

  • I have slime and this is biodegradable quitter.

  • So we're practicing what we preach a little bit woo, like mermaid barf.

  • She calls about the water and she's like What?

  • I'm a little seasick.

  • That's not fun to touch yet.

  • Ooh, Yeah, E.

  • I am making a rail maps.

  • How did they do it so beautifully in the videos?

  • Let's pick up all this.

  • I'd be super into, like, a cleaning product.

  • Wow, Obsessional lady.

  • I'd be so burned to this if there is a cleaning product.

  • Oh, my God.

  • It literally can't stop the lead with this.

  • Okay, Time to peel.

  • I like I like to make it really dramatic because I think it's funny.

  • Uh, well, my girlfriend reads all the comments to me.

  • Do you guys read all the Are we gonna Are you gonna read comments to be on?

  • Okay.

  • Yeah, I'm a little shy, but yeah, let's hear him.

  • Let's hear.

  • Everyone likes to hear good things about themselves.

  • Oh, that's really sweet.

  • I will cry.

  • What else?

  • Oh, I love my froze.

  • She also says thank you.

  • Yeah, I don't know.

  • I don't know, but you're welcome.

  • What?

  • Right.

  • Oh, I mean, honestly, I would have to Everyone should be like Ms Frizzle.

  • For what?

  • The fact that you're in fourth grade and you have already decided that their route is incredible and I stand Well, well, it is truly everywhere.

  • I might have to take a bath.

  • Who you got this time?

  • They'll just be like And as you see there, water sort of just pours into containers.

  • Now what we've all been waiting for face highlighters.

  • We're going to check out to different highlighting products highlighting powders.

  • One more affordable, one more expensive thing.

  • This is a more affordable one.

  • You can see all my fingers.

  • It's like super chalky.

  • See what it looks like?

  • The shade does not work for her.

  • Now we're gonna try them or expensive.

  • Okay, really glittery up close.

  • First, we're going to do the more affordable side.

  • So what's a shine?

  • Not as opaque.

  • Now let's try the more expensive site.

  • The more expensive highlighter is mostly made of mica.

  • Mica is a naturally occurring mineral that peels in sheets and we can see those sheets and flakes of mica and me expensive highlighter.

  • Basically, you're poor is like the perfect little pocket for highlighter to sink into and live.

  • So it's really, really important that if you wear highlighter, shimmers, glitters that you double Clyne's moving right along, we're gonna check out jelly and cream highlighters first, just you have our jelly highlighter.

  • Oh, she shimmer cream and jelly and like liquid highlighters or super popular because they appear more skin like and less powdery.

  • I prefer cream, too.

  • I like the way it blends and milk sensitive skin.

  • Let's play with us a little bit.

  • Yeah, when I was applying it, I didn't really see a difference in terms of it being easier to apply.

  • But it was really nice to touch and hasn't really fun texture.

  • Now I'm really excited.

  • This is my favorite form of highlighter, a cream stick.

  • She's always ready to go.

  • She can be carried in a bag in your hand, in your pocket, in your pocketbook, in your notebook with your friends at the mall, at the store, at the grocery store.

  • Cream highlighters always come through in the clutch.

  • Easy app.

  • Location, easy application.

  • Now that we've applied, I'm just gonna go and take my fingers and blend it out.

  • This is a really nice, natural like, healthy, awake type of highlighter to really like.

  • Let's look under the microscope were gonna do the jelly 1st 0 wow, that's way more glitter than I expected.

  • It's really thick and I can't see any, like fine lines or pores or anything like that.

  • So it's really covering the surface of my skin.

  • Okay, let's check out the cream.

  • So was once less opaque, and you can see my skin through it, which is what gives it a more natural skin like glow from within appearance.

  • They look almost identical, except the jelly is CE alight Lee Maur Dewey and more blurring than the cream.

  • But if you really love the jelly texture, get the jelly texture.

  • It's so much fun to play with.

  • So last of the face highlighters we have iridescent versus holographic highlighters.

  • Technically, makeup isn't holographic yet.

  • Ah, hologram is a photographic recording of a life field like a production, so my first product is gonna be a holographic cream highlighter.

  • So time application.

  • Super easy.

  • That's why she loves a cream stick super easy.

  • And now this jelly, who this product is an emotion.

  • It's white in the container, but when I spread it on my face, it's going to be clear like milk.

  • This is because the Fat Gabriel's are suspended and are small enough that they scattered like this is known as the Tyndall Effect.

  • She's a scientist.

  • It's so pretty.

  • Okay, okay.

  • One for support.

  • So it was super wet.

  • And then it kind of like dries to nothing.

  • It doesn't feel like anything's on my face.

  • So this is a cream.

  • We have the blues and the purples, random chunks of glitter that might actually be left over from the gold.

  • Now, for the iridescent milk, it's almost exactly the same.

  • I would say.

  • It's like slightly shiny er and this looks a little bit wetter.

  • So there's a possibility that there might be more oil in the formula form or moisturizing components.

  • So as you guys can see, both of those formulas were really similar.

  • And there was no hologram that appeared on my G with the holographic highlighter.

  • So I could get safe to say that holographic highlighter is more of a marketing term.

  • She's gotta go.

  • How long is it?

  • It's time for hair.

  • Uh, hold the applause.

  • That was weird.

  • I'm getting weird.

  • We're going to try to separate products a shy missed and a shimmer gel.

  • But first, we're gonna look at my beer.

  • Baby hairs.

  • Whoa, whoa!

  • Wow.

  • This is wild.

  • Looks like electric wires so curly and cute.

  • I really don't want to brag, but, like, look how healthy.

  • Right here.

  • The secret ingredient is a silk cap.

  • If you don't want to wear a silk cap, then you can have a silk pillowcase.

  • But silk, silk, silk, silk, silk will help you.

  • What's that?

  • It's a fuzzy.

  • Do we see the fuzzy?

  • Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

  • Uh huh.

  • Back to where things were perfect.

  • Surely it's okay.

  • View of dandruff.

  • Honestly, it's probably just scratched my scalp.

  • That's where it came from.

  • E mei Look crazy like you like crazy.

  • I'm gonna try the shine.

  • Missed.

  • Oh, that smells good.

  • It's a really fine mist.

  • Yeah, I don't really see any glitter, but I feel like like it's a miss.

  • Like it's well and a it's breaking, and it actually looks slightly more shiny now for the Joan Really quickly when I spread it.

  • See, it's a little bit pink, but it appears yellow.

  • Yeah, yeah, Well, the Kendall effect Did you take the note?

  • Is it written down?

  • Do you know what I'm talking about?

  • The Tyndall effect.

  • There might be a pop quiz later.

  • Okay, That's fine.

  • I can definitely see shimmer.

  • Not as dense as I thought it was gonna be.

  • But it's fun.

  • I would definitely use this.

  • Like, on my edges is a gel.

  • It feels a little bit moisturizing to, which is always a bonus.

  • Let's look under the microscope, huh?

  • Okay, So before applying this product, I checked out the ingredients list and one of the ingredients is diamond powder, which I think, or that's probably where the shimmers coming from Next.

  • Okay.

  • Looks like a little disco bioluminescence.

  • Whoa!

  • She's a scientist.

  • Bioluminescent forest On the spectrum of natural products versus chemical products, hair products tend to lean more towards the chemical side because they're further away from your eyes in your mouth.

  • Unless the product says hair and body keep it away from your face Don't body Addy Addy Addy Addy Addy Addy I have to do it I have to do it We're moving on to body glitters We're gonna try out one high end body glitter and one do it yourself body glitter Where are my things?

  • First I'm gonna funnel in some shimmer I would probably use any loose shimmer that you have a home highlighter and high shadow.

  • If you want to crush him up, crushed about, put him in the bottle.

  • This is just your standard inexpensive body Oil spray on the top.

  • Give it a shape.

  • Wow.

  • I thought I was just gonna be, like, suspended and translucent.

  • But look at that girl.

  • I might have to sell first.

  • False moisturizing, which I love.

  • Who?

  • Now?

  • Let's try the high end.

  • Oh, wow.

  • Looks like pure gold.

  • Oh, don't sit on a white couch.

  • Uh, okay.

  • I like the both.

  • This one smells really good side by side comparison.

  • It's just like what your mood is.

  • First affordable home made.

  • One woo.

  • It looks like a glitter river just on my hand.

  • So you want to make sure that this drives down before you go sitting on white couches or hugging your loved ones, But it's beautiful.

  • The one thing that our homemade body shimmer doesn't have its film formers, which we talked about earlier, and they act like a pace to help keep the product on.

  • Okay, now the more expensive you can see, it's more like a jell texture versus the oil.

  • Slickness doesn't really look like it's moving a whole lot, so I would worry less about it transferring.

  • And I would say because we have this gel like texture, this is gonna be more blurring.

  • So in terms of which one to go with, I think it's really about what your budget is and what vibe do you want.

  • Like this one is super gold and kind of glorifying.

  • And this is like sexy bronze.

  • It's all about your mood Now that I am covered in glitter, I gotta go.

  • I gotta clean it off responsibly.

  • And I gotta take a nap.

  • I'll be feeling power to go out.

  • Do your own research and comment below.

  • Let me know some fun facts.

  • Bye, guys.

she's Hi, guys.
