  • Hey guys! Today I wanted to give an update on what's happening in my life right now, since

  • we have a lot of subscribers who actually follow our lives a little bit

  • and like know stuff about us.

  • So Jun and I want to start sharing more of our lives with you! It's such a big step in our relationship!

  • uh... but

  • Today this video is just about me, and not about Japan.

  • So if you want to watch a video about Japan you should not watch this because

  • you're going to be disappointed.

  • If you watch this video, and you post a comment at the end that says

  • "OMG"

  • "This was such a waste of time!"

  • "There's nothing about Japan in here at all!"

  • Then you are really bad at making decisions because I'm telling you right

  • now that this is not going to be about Japan.

  • So a lot of you watched Jun's most recent video and he mentioned that I've had a

  • little bit of trouble with my heart lately.

  • And a lot of you left really nice comments and wished me well, and thank you so much for that.

  • But I'm really okay so please don't worry!

  • It's not a huge deal or anything.

  • But I'm gonna tell you the story about what happened with that.

  • So,

  • sometimes when I get stressed out,

  • which happens a lot right now because I've been apart from Jun for three years,

  • aside from visiting each other. We just had our 3rd year anniversary.

  • And it sucks and it's stressful.

  • So sometimes when I get stressed out I like to go on a drive.

  • And here in America we have a lot of like really open

  • highways and expressways and especially if you're in a more rural area,

  • then there really aren't any other cars around at all, and you can

  • kinda drive as fast as you want.

  • So sometimes when I get stressed out that's what I do.

  • I just go for a drive and I listen to really loud music

  • and especially if I'm like really upset, I listen to like angry rock music

  • and I sing along/yell.

  • And so that's what I did one Friday afternoon.

  • And then when I was laying down for bed that Friday night my lungs started hurting

  • really badly and I was like, "Wow!"

  • "Did I really yell that much that I did something to my lungs? Is that even possible?"

  • Okay...

  • So I was gonna give myself a couple days to let my lungs heal

  • for like being ridiculous and yelling too much in my car.

  • And by Sunday morning it still wasn't any better and I started to actually think about it,

  • and I was like,

  • this is really dumb.

  • I couldn't have possibly yelled so much that I damaged my lungs.

  • Like that's,

  • that's really absurd and I--at that point I kinda realized that it wasn't just my lungs,

  • like actually my chest was hurting, too, and I was like, "Oh crap!"

  • So I took an aspirin and I went to the emergency room.

  • And I walked in and I was like,

  • "I'M HAVING CHEST PAIN."

  • And they were like,

  • "You're 24 years old..."

  • "But okay..."

  • "We'll run some tests anyway."

  • And

  • so they did. They took me in and they did like an ECG and like they x-rayed my heart and

  • did a bunch of blood tests. And when they came back with the results for the blood tests

  • the nurse was like,

  • "Wow, you actually really do have chest pain."

  • For those of you who know what it is, there's something called troponin

  • in your blood level, which-

  • I'm not like a health person. I don't really know that much about it,

  • but when you have heart damage

  • your heart releases

  • these cells into your bloodstream and so they can detect your troponin levels

  • after you've had heart damage.

  • Usually they do that when you've had a heart attack and stuff like that.

  • And my troponin was elevated and so

  • they were like, "Okay! You actually do have some heart damage."

  • "This is kinda crazy; we're going to keep you here for a couple days because we

  • don't know what's going on."

  • So they checked me in

  • and I stayed for two days, and I did a whole bunch more tests and

  • I watched Spongebob and Colbert for two days.

  • And it wasn't that bad.

  • But they checked me into the cardiac unit, which is like this whole

  • big ward at the hospital

  • that is just for patients who have issues with their heart.

  • Like you have to sleep with a heart monitor on and everything.

  • And like every single person

  • in that unit was like 70 years old, except for me.

  • Like they were all

  • had heart attacks or they were dying and their family was there and it was really sad,

  • and then there was me...

  • And I was just watching Spongebob in my bed for two days.

  • So it wasn't that bad but

  • anyway what I had was myopericarditis, which is... uh, like sometimes if you get like

  • a specific virus that virus will sometimes attack your heart as well and so

  • it causes a little bit of heart damage and like inflammation in your heart.

  • And it's not-

  • Mine wasn't bad at all. So there's no permanent damage or anything.

  • I'm just supposed to take it easy for a little bit to let my heart heal itself.

  • But everything should be fine.

  • It wasn't that bad at all.

  • But the thing about that is that

  • because of everything that happened with my heart my job was like,

  • "We're not gonna send you to Korea anymore,

  • because we don't think you're healthy enough to go."

  • And they told me this literally the day before I was supposed to leave.

  • Like I had prepared everything to move!

  • Like I turned off my internet and everything.

  • And I shipped almost all of my worldly possessions to Korea already

  • and they couldn't turn it back around so

  • right now almost everything I own is sailing across the Pacific Ocean

  • to Korea

  • to a place that I'm not going to anymore.

  • So,

  • that's kinda how my life is going right now.

  • Um...

  • But I kept a couple of suitcases of stuff.

  • And fortunately I'm really good at prioritizing and only keeping the things that

  • are absolutely necessary for me to survive.

  • Like my giant sun hat.

  • And 15 pairs of shoes!

  • So that's kinda where I'm at with my life right now.

  • I really don't know what's gonna happen because my job doesn't know either.

  • So I don't know when I'll be able to move again or see my husband again.

  • Um... so there's that.

  • But I do have a lot more free time right now so I should be able to make videos more often.

  • So please look forward to that!

  • And I'll see you guys again next time! Bye!

  • Hey gu- I just hit myself in the nose...

  • No, not you! Not you. NOT YOU. NOT YOU!!

  • I can't hold all my shoes!

Hey guys! Today I wanted to give an update on what's happening in my life right now, since
