  • Hey, kids, today we're making a deco mash pumpkin U two's best for creative things.

  • It's cooking and crafting.

  • Hey, kids, we're gonna need a few things.

  • And, of course, as always, improvised with what you have, we're gonna use an entire roll of orange Deco Polly mash.

  • We're nearly at a little bit of green, um, mash as well for the stem.

  • I have these autumn leaves that we can use for the leaves.

  • Three some raffia on.

  • We're gonna use some tinsel stems, also known as quite cleaners on.

  • Then I just used a spare box that I had sitting around and I cut it to 10 inches wide because that's how wide we're going to be putting our orange mess.

  • We're going to use this entire 30 foot roll of math.

  • 30 buying 21 inches.

  • So, um, you want to cut them at 10 inches apiece?

  • So it's easiest.

  • That's on this.

  • I should have written her name down on the Internet where you use a box, and then you just you know, you do this to all of the, um, mash going all the way around, and then when you're done, you just slip your scissors on the inside and cut up, and you have everything cut at once.

  • So I'm going to do that, and I'm gonna cut the entire roll so I'll be back when that is completed.

  • We're going to roll each one of these pieces of 10 inches of deco mesh up and roll it as tightly as you can.

  • In retrospect, they probably should have cut them at about, well, ve inches to give it just a little bit more heft to it.

  • And then once you get it, um, rolled up, you're going to take your tinsel garland, and you're gonna secure it and leave a couple of inches on the end so that you will be able to connect the rest of the rolls to it.

  • Then you're gonna roll your second roll of a mesh.

  • And then once you get that ready to attach, you want to make sure you get it close to the 1st 1 and you're gonna wrap um, very tightly, um, around it and you want to go over and then come up in between Mary, go and you're going to pull it nice and tightly and you're going to continue doing this for AA group of maybe 8 to 10 maybe even 12 together.

  • And I'm going to continue doing this with every single piece of mesh that you have cut.

  • When you're getting low on tensile, you just want to attach to together just twist them together until they're all the way in combined.

  • Then you can continue attaching all your rules.

  • You're going to continue doing this until you have your eight or 10 grouped together.

  • And then what you're gonna do is you're gonna flip it over and you're going to do the same thing to the opposite end.

  • Just make sure you get the bottom part rolled up nice and tightly, and then you want to also make sure that you keep them in order and not get them twisted are mixed up.

  • I guess it wouldn't really matter.

  • But it just is nice to have the continuity of each role because, you know, with a pumpkin, it always has those nice uniform lines coming down each side.

  • Once you've combined that, you can go ahead and set that on the side and start working on your next set of eight or 10 that you're putting together.

  • Once all of your groups of, um, roles have been completed rolling.

  • Then you're going to just take, be tinsel garland, and you are going to attach one to the other, both the tops and the bottoms, so just continue attaching each side to the next side.

  • I believe I had three or four sections that I ended up with.

  • I can't remember now.

  • And then once that is completed, then you complete your circle.

  • And don't worry about the tensile garland sticking out because we're gonna end up tucking that into the center of the pumpkin and they won't be seen slow and steady won the race here.

  • You just need to go real slowly, and eventually everything will be able to be pushed into the center.

  • Do this to both the top and the bottom of your pumpkin.

  • Don't worry.

  • If you know it starts to poke out on one end of because we're gonna end up sticking the stem in there and with along with the leaves, and that's gonna help keep them in place.

  • Now we're going to get the green stem a mesh, and I cut maybe about a 12 inch to 15 inch piece and we're just gonna go ahead and roll that up, and then we're going to stick that into be top of the pumpkin.

  • Once you get that put into the pumpkin, you're going to get your leaves on.

  • And I have those already pre made ones, and I'm just gonna stick them in there and hide the ends that are tending to poke out.

  • Now, the reason why this is there poking out, you know, the tops is because at some point I wasn't pulling them as tight as possible.

  • So you want to make sure that you pull them as tight as humanly possible.

  • But then, of course, you can cover this fact up with believes, and I'm gonna put the leaves all the way around the entire top of the pumpkin.

  • Now, you just kind of want to judge up your pumpkin there at the very end, making sure that everything is all, you know, nice and tidy looking, cause sometimes, um, this is where I really wish I had cut the pieces just a tad bit longer.

  • Um, some of the sides of the pumpkin stuck out, but it still looks absolutely beautiful when it ends.

  • You know, at the final product.

  • Now it's time for the raffia.

  • So I just pulled out a couple of, um, you know, strands of it.

  • And I ended up tying it into a bow, and I just attached that to the top near the stem.

  • I also had this, um, Cissel, um, wired rope that you see that's dangling down.

  • And that was just something that I decided to use at the very end.

  • Um and I just kind of wrapped it around and tried to mimic the vines of the pumpkin and ended up looking really pretty.

  • I was really happy I added that touch in there.

  • And there you go, our deco mesh pumpkin.

  • I hope you enjoy this tutorial.

  • If you did, please give me a thumbs up.

  • I come out with videos every Monday and Thursday and that way, when you subscribe, you'll be able to keep in touch and up to date with all the videos that I have created, I will attach a playlist in which I have used deco mash to make other crafts in the past.
