Boswell is accused of making false statements to police regarding her daughter, one year old Evelyn Boswell.

An Amber Alert was issued for the child in February after authorities say her grandfather reported he hadn't seen her for months, the Sullivan County sheriff says.

When questioned, Meghan Boswell claimed Evelyn was with her biological father, but that turned out not to be true.

At the court appearance, Boswell was not charged with any additional crimes, but a judge did increase her bond from $25,000 to $150,000.

Prosecutors requested the increased, claiming Boswell was a flight risk.

While the remains have not been identified yet, authorities say clothes on the body fit the description of what the mom cleans her daughter was wearing when she last saw her remains have been sent for an autopsy to determine identity and cause of death.
