  • Transfer team Have a busy few days on.

  • We've got a busy hour gradient Marlon Harewood joining the team today.

  • This is good morning transfers.

  • We'll have news from this hour.

  • One of their key players leave the club before Friday.

  • We know that everyone wants a striker in this window.

  • Could Josiah Marino be getting closer to a adding to his attacking ranks?

  • Will reveal on the show West Harmon check originated.

  • Look close to adding to their scores with big money moves for midfielders on We are back.

  • I'll be speaking to my lawn today at the Sky plan about his time in China with his former clubs.

  • Aston Villa and West Ham have successfully Janu transfer Windows 11 p.m. deadline on Friday.

  • Believe we're expecting so many deals to be done between now and then.

  • We've picked five high profile players whose future are still to be decided.

  • We've talked about Christian Eriksen every day of this window.

  • Expect him to become an Inter Milan player, barring any last minute hitches that should be finalized.

  • An Inter Milan's raid on the primary doesn't end there.

  • Not content.

  • Robbery Lukaku Alexis Sanchez in the summer.

  • Ashley Young and Erickson Possibly this month.

  • But they also remain in pole position for Chelsea's Olivier Giroud.

  • He's been a wanted man, but he wants Inter.

  • One player's future expected.

  • We thought it would be done by now is Bruno Fernandez.

  • We're still talking about that because Manchester and Sporting Lisbon still haven't agreed.

  • A fee for the midfielder Danny Rose is in demand.

  • At least six Premier League clubs want the top left back for Merthyr in talks for they face competition from several the clubs, including what would a Newcastle and Edinson Cavani still hasn't moved.

  • He wants to and a family member said he's got his heart set on that Tico Madrid.

  • But with that deal, stalling could have Premier Li.

  • Club pounds will keep across all of those big deals.

  • Every deal, in fact, all the way through to that deadline, right?

  • We're gonna start at last.

  • We know that they want to send her back.

  • We'll get into that in a moment.

  • But there are reports that may worry the fans.

  • It's about a potential outgoing mark.

  • What do we know this is huge on This is one of those stories that drops into your email inbox and you go, Wow, this could be unbelievable.

  • Pierre Emerick Obama Yang is on the radar off Barcelona on Barcelona are increasingly confident that they can get him and get a deal done, which was reported in the Spanish media last week.

  • But get this in this January window.

  • We're not talking about moving the summer we are talking about in the next three days.

  • Yesterday, Matt Law in the Telegraph said that Barcelona are expected to make an offer this week.

  • He will cost around £50 million or thereabouts, which is around what Arsenal pay to get.

  • His service is in the first place.

  • Obama Gang wants to play Champions League football.

  • He wants to play at the highest level as things stand.

  • He currently has 18 months left on his Arsenal deal.

  • That doesn't mean necessary.

  • This can't get done.

  • There's no contract on the table from the moment he said in his program notes just two weeks ago that he wasn't going anywhere, that he loved the club and that he wanted to get them back to the top.

  • But when Arsenal get a call from Barcelona when a player gets a call from Barcelona, things change.

  • Yeah, absolutely.

  • We're just here from Mikala Tetris because he was asked in his post match news conference yesterday with those reports linking Pierre Emerick Aubameyang with a move.

  • I want over here 100%.

  • I'm so happy with him and I can't wait to have him available again after the suspension.

  • You are.

  • Sometimes you really want to hear from you on.

  • This is hashtag transfer talk at Sky Sports News and we will read out some of those tweets that you've got.

  • We're going to bring Marlon Harewood in.

  • Good morning to you, Marlon.

  • Thanks for joining the transfer team today, Obama young here that there's quite strong reports that Barcelona are in from Why would Arsenal, though from their point if you let him go, I can't see that happening, really, especially in this window, especially when they're just taken on a new manager.

  • I think they want to try and better the club not decrease the club in the sense of letting go to one of the massive team like Barcelona.

  • But at the same time as a player.

  • It's like a dream come true.

  • When a team like that comes in for you don't want to turn something that down.

  • That's the thing Keith we've seen so many times.

  • If Barcelona say they're confident of signing a player, it tends to happen.

  • It does.

  • You're with Real Madrid as well, and I think with Obama, Young as well at his age, 30 31 this summer.

  • He's probably looking at it and thinking, I've got one big last contract in me and you'd imagine someone like him who was a little bit of our elite developer.

  • I think it's fair to see in terms of playing for for big top clubs will want to play for one of their big two or three clubs and Europe.

  • So, yes, that could be the kids.

  • But I have to agree with with Milo, I cannot see that getting done this window with just with just 30 days to go.

  • So perhaps that is one order desperate for a streetcar?

  • No.

  • Okay, Suarez will be back in the summer, But perhaps that's one really could maybe move in the summer.

  • I just don't see it happening.

  • So why do they want to strike will keep just touched on it there.

  • Luis Suarez could be out for the rest of the season.

  • He's had that surgery on his knee and there's really no backup, which is quite surprising if you think we're talking about Barcelona here.

  • They've got the 19 year old Abul Ruiz, but he's struggling to make the jump up from the Barcelona B team, so it's looking like he's not ready.

  • So they really need these reinforcements opposite.

  • They are still top of the leader, but they lost to non violence here at the weekend.

  • Railed Madrid win their game this week.

  • Then they'll be replacing with top of the league.

  • They're still in the Champions League.

  • They've got Napoli in the last 16 so lots of gains to come.

  • They need a striker to fill that void in the new manager kick a city and he's admitted that he's still kind of getting his players over to his methods and his ways of playing.

  • But without the striker, where did they go from here really were asking, asking fans to get in touch house track transfer, talk.

  • But Mark, how do you think they would react if Obama Young was allowed to go, I think they'd be in tears across the Emirates.

  • I think it would be one of those moments where they seem to have a real affinity in a connection with Pierre.

  • He seems to be the leader.

  • He's the talisman.

  • He's the one that's got the gold.

  • You look at his record recently.

  • You know, 46 goals in 64 Premier League starts.

  • He has been the focal point of their attack has led the club for the last 18 months or so, so this would be a huge blow.

  • But like I said earlier on, when Barcelona come knocking on the door, your head gets turned.

  • If they came in for you, Mom, what would you have done?

  • I had to be turned a little bit just a bit, but obviously it brings me to the place that have gone from Arsenal to Barcelona on.

  • Got a little graphic, actually, which gives you an indication of some of the quality that has gone from London to Spain on dhe, some incredible places.

  • Incredible place obviously goes back to 2000 with Emmanuel Petit and Marc Overmars.

  • That was a joint deal that took them from arson to Barcelona than brawn coursed in 2003.

  • Obviously the main man T Erry Armory.

  • That was a huge blow for the club, one of the big signings for Barcelona at that time under Pep Guardiola in 2007 7 Sex, fabric, gas on dhe Alex on most recently.

  • But you see, there is a connection between Arsenal in Barcelona.

  • So this is a really interesting one to watch a striker when you play your whole career.

  • For these moments and blocks of Barcelona, coming for you is just one of them.

  • Things that especially obviously, the fans love in the arsenal also was a big club, and they're obviously trying to rekindle their self at the moment and for him to leave.

  • It's taken aback.

  • Step for us to really Do you think, Marlon, even on the back of those program notes just a couple of weeks ago when he said, You know, I will not be going anywhere can could he go after that?

  • Even if it is Barcelona, such football, this football and it changes very quickly, a CZ you will know and like a team like Barcelona comes in from me Sometimes you don't really might not come around again.

  • Don't really turn them situations down.

  • What about Obama?

  • Yang is hasn't been captive long, but he is Captain Now with that play on your mind, if you had a club and you've been given that responsibility off the armband Yeah, that s the captain of the club.

  • So he went to Barcelona.

  • When you seek an opportunity like that is like I said, it don't really turn them things down.

  • When they come around and office, he's well foretell for Arsenal.

  • Andi will be a sad day for him if they let him go.

  • I can't see.

  • I can't see you wanting to go in and go.

  • But at the same time, money talks.

  • And if they could get the deal done, it will be done.

  • Yeah.

  • So Barcelona chasing ramrod, ramrod just top of the league at the moment, I could see why Barcelona were wanted.

  • Maybe can't see why Arsenal might want to let him go.

  • Right?

  • Okay, let's look at the other end of the pitch now and talk about centerbacks because there's been a hitch in the Pablo at Marie deal and that's being made worse by an injury to squadron Mustafi.

  • Alice, You know, we know for a while the awesome have been in the market for a centerback.

  • Obviously, they're looking to cover the injury from Calum Chambers that's ruled him out for the rest of the season.

  • But now, as you say, Miss Taffy could be ruled out.

  • We don't know how long fall, but he was carried off on a stretcher last nights when overboard within the F A Cup, so that didn't look very good.

  • And after the game, Michaela better actually said that it wouldn't alter the club's transfer plans, but it seems fairly hard to think that it how it wouldn't if you know what I mean.

  • We know they aren't looking to spend a huge amount of money.

  • Given they spent more than £100 million in the summer on the likes of Nikola Pep A and Karen Tandy, he's also struggle with injury himself.

  • We know that they're interested in the centre back Pablo Marie from Flamengo, but it looks at the minute like that deal is in the balance.

  • Really look some fairly unlikely.

  • With just a few days left of the window Now he's now returned to Brazil on As it stands, he'll be continuing his preseason training with his club Flamingo.

  • We're told the club's do remain in contact, but it looks fairly unlikely at this stage and they are in need of a sentence.

  • Central defender.

  • So he had that medical Sunday, flew back yesterday to Brazil is No, it's not.

  • It's not flying back to France or Germany or whatever.

  • It doesn't I don't think that board well for that transfer.

  • If he's gone back to Brazil, a long way to go, having had, haven't had the medical and then fly back again.

  • Yeah, I think that looks too good.

  • Well, the thing is, they wanted him.

  • So they wanted to send about Marlon.

  • We know they wanted one with Miss Taffy.

  • Now, INGE, do they now need a centerback?

  • Yeah, definitely.

  • If you ask me a question of where there's arsenal need to struggle for now, I would say definitely defense on golf, seeing injuries that they have now, they're definitely to go and get one to support what we're trying to do in for them to get up to the top where they should be definitely top casts and 1/2 Yeah, and market on most staff e there.

  • Waas took the start.

  • The window.

  • I think a lot of us expected Miss Taffy to actually make a move, but he's being given another chance.

  • Now There's a new manager in medical attention.

  • Must be quite hard for him to now get this injury when he was back in the side.

  • It's heartbreaking when you see players get injuries particularly, say when he's been given a second chance.

  • You know you have to remember as well.

  • He was a huge signing for the football club in the summer.

  • 2016 in excess of £30 million was paid, and it's probably fair to say he's not had the impact that everyone expected a second chance under Michaela Teta.

  • But it just hasn't gone well on it just leaves gaps at the back injuries.

  • Like Allie said.

  • It's so difficult when you're a manager trying, trying to patch up aside when you haven't got your best players available.

  • You're trying to rejuvenate aside, trying to get asked to compete for the Premier League because that's where Arsenal fans want.

  • They want to be in the top four minimum they want to challenge for the title they want to challenge for silverware s.

  • Oh, it's a big challenge on his hands.

  • Mikhail's got on.

  • He's gonna have to work quickly because there's a lot to do starting at the back.

  • Yeah, we've had loads.

  • A tweet.

  • We asked for these.

  • We knew that our fans would get in touch, Jeremies says.

  • Selling Obama Yang Seeing Obama only vassal this window would really hurt the club, not to mention leave US fans gutted.

  • I hope he stays, Matthew says.

  • If we sell Obama, Young wouldn't be surprised if we get relegated and then in their capitals.

  • Don't sell about me at a bit much there.

  • Matthew Andre says This club is a joke By not putting £350,000 a week on the table for Obama Young at this time, he's also not happy that the Emory deal at the moment is off.

  • Jeff is there as well say no chance at Arsenal should sell Obama and unless they have an immediate move for a striker lined up so very much have a chance to get in the top six feet in the Europa League, the F A Cup etcetera makes no sense.

  • Toe weaken this side.

  • Okay, let's get to some Maur offthe e stories.

  • Making headlines now with state of play with Mark Steven Burg.

  • Wine is in London and ready to undertake a medical with Tottenham as talks continue over a transfer from PSB Eindhoven.

  • Norwegian international midfielder Sanda Birds has told Gang he wishes to leave the club before Friday's transfer deadline, which Sheffield United favorites to sign him.

  • Slavia Prague have given midfield Thomas Sushi Etch Permissions who traveled to London for a medical on further contract negotiations with West Ham.

  • West Brom's Albion are in talks with Sheffield United about a deal for striker Callum Robinson.

  • QUE PR and Charlton are among the clubs.

  • King to sign Tottenham's Troy parrots on loan Sunderland have signed midfielder Josh Cowan from q p r for an undisclosed.

  • Now the story that won't go away.

  • This man, of course.

  • Bruno Fernandez on fresh quotes from the sport in head coach last night.

  • See Lasse speaking after sporting one of it to over Margarito.

  • I cannot confirm that this will be his last game.

  • I would like him to stay but I cannot say whether he will or will not.

  • Now we know Bruno is a different class player and he sees things that nobody else does.

  • I mean the diagonal movements, the long passes.

  • Any team that had Bruno and loses him would suffer.

  • If we would've seemed to lose him, we will suffer.

  • But he has promised.

  • If we do lose him, we will find solutions.

  • So Manchester United fans look, just a little bit of the 72 hours to go can deal get done, right?

  • Okay, much more to come.

  • Alice court up with one of us on Villa's new signings yesterday.

  • We'll hear from him.

  • Next time we'll get Marlon sports on the business.

  • Done.

  • Guard your towels.

  • Thing is good morning transfers.

  • And yesterday we sent Alex to Aston Villa's training ground.

  • LSC.

  • Unless you want to speak Thio, one of our village new signings airstrike in Bromma Samata.

  • What was he like?

  • And how's he finding life so far?

  • I think this is a hugely exciting signing for Aston Villa fans.

  • He was very excited to be here.

  • Great guy.

  • He's the first Tanzanian to join a Premier League club, so that's absolutely huge.

  • He's joined from gank on a four and 1/2 year deal.

  • Andi Yeah, he joins.

  • Hey, was the captain there, so he obviously had those leadership qualities, and I think he's hoping to bring those villas.

  • Well, he talked about training.

  • He had his first training session late last week, and he said that he's already noticed an increase in intensity and he's ready for that.

  • And he said it was an easy decision to come to the Premier Li.

  • But it was difficult for him to leave his former players behind, keeping in contact with them.

  • And he's feels very inspiration as well.

  • It's got a slogan, and I might be saying this wrong or try and say it right Hey, knock off Ellie and it translates to never fail And he said that That's the slogan that he keeps with him during his time when he's playing football, so yet very inspirational, very exciting time for fast Villa fan so we can hear from him now.

  • Here's what he had said to me yesterday.

  • It was incredible news for me because, um, we never have any time's Onion player will play in a Premier League side team.

  • It could be the 1st 1 and most often, Dannion people.

  • They are every weekend watching Premier League.

  • So that could be fantastic news.

  • Yeah, I was so happy to join us.

  • Don Vito, your family must be very proud of you.

  • House a reaction being after after everything with queen.

  • Um, get a visa.

  • I do my medical and everything.

  • I called my father toe to let him know that everything's went well and we're waiting for the work for me to be done.

  • And he's a gherkin.

  • Was e scream very hard to I was What?

  • What's going on?

  • It's very scream and your comic let me And the terminating was so plowed and yeah, he was just pretending like I'm 20 ever now because what you achieved, everybody.

  • Couple of the players already here you will have come across your time in Belgium.

  • Marvelous.

  • Campbell and Wesley both obviously played in Belgium.

  • Did you know them well before you came here?

  • We always met when we were playing against each other.

  • Ana.

  • Yeah, we become friendly little bit by texting each other in social media's instagram or something.

  • Just whatever happened to Congress lifted each other or something.

  • But we were not really very close before Taylor come here.

  • Is it nice to see some familiar faces?

  • Very knife, and it's give you it's give you somethingto feel like Okay, I'm I'm willing right place here.

  • What do you hope to bring to the side?

  • Obviously, fairly close to the relegation zone.

  • No.

  • Innit, though, which is obviously a big step having having won the last game.

  • But what?

  • What do you expect to bring to the side?

  • I think I'm they'll never be one player.

  • Gonna gonna do everything toe to have the team.

  • This is about the group that we have to do it together.

  • And I'm sure with, uh, everyone f words that mean gonna We're gonna be strong and gonna help the team so much toe do better to do better and better every time.

  • Traditionally, in the first away game, a new play we'll have initiation song.

  • Have you got yours?

  • Ready?

  • You're gonna D'oh!

  • I I'm kind of guy who like leg.

  • So probably gonna think one phone from one radiant ofa lady or something.

  • Just regular fingers.

  • Look for to have you got good singing voice, good singing voice.

  • I'm not sure.

  • Well, just appreciate their energy from purple rain.

  • Oh, for a second.

  • But yes, January long, we have been talking about Aston Villa's wish lists in the positions that have they have target during the whole of the window.

  • Suggest review.

  • Let's go through the checklist as we've done the whole of January goalkeeper of the Man himself.

  • We just saw there singing the best song ever.

  • Pepper Rainer.

  • Former World Cup winner.

  • Wealth of experience.

  • We know what he's gonna bring in that goal.

  • Keeper position.

  • Midfielder.

  • Also a check.

  • Danny Drinkwater in season long loan.

  • Former Premier League winner is gonna come with that experience is, well, Dean Smith at that point would have been happy.

  • And now the striker position Alley Samantha's.

  • We just heard the new Tanzanian Straker helping to fill that void for it since Wesley's injury on, I'll bring a my strike partner right here.

  • Marlon Harewood.

  • Michael, I want to talk to you 1st 1 Ask you about the striker position, obviously, just bowling alley Samantha.

  • But how do you feel?

  • Do you feel like they need to add more goals?

  • You still like me needs at another addition in that position?

  • Yeah, definitely.

  • I watched him on last week, and they struggled up front because of the injuries that had.

  • So now they've got Striker.

  • I would say another striker will be needed, sister push on, then try and help the strike rate.

  • Get some goals.

  • Marlon, you've been changed.

  • Rooms.

  • I have to ask you when PC Pepper Raina do those sort of things.

  • How encouraging is it?

  • Especially for when it really started the first half of their season with that sort of thing.

  • Boost their morale?

  • Yeah, definitely, definitely.

  • Player like that, coming into the change rooms and trying to boost them where they want to be and how they want to stay in the Premier League.

  • It Z plus for them toe push on and having him behind your It's a massive plus, I'm talking about obviously experience.

  • We just spoke about Peppy Raina, but Danny Drinkwater comes in as well.

  • Former Premier League winner.

  • What's he gonna bring to this team?

  • Yeah, a lot really is needed for him to get some games, and I think you'll thrive off playing for Villa and helping order young lads there and pushing them on to try and step in a primitive have to ask you when you see players coming in the middle of January, you've obviously been so many numerous change rooms and all the rest of it Do you feel like sometimes it's difficult to adjust when you come in halfway through the season at all?

  • I don't think it's like that anymore.

  • I think times are changing when players coming into the just room, they sort of know someone in interesting already.

  • So just just to make them welcome and I'm going to start training, obviously the ability was shined.

  • Shoes shine through and then other things would just lead on.

  • It is a club that's close to your heart.

  • I know that.

  • You see, it means a lot to you.

  • Still, when you see in the first half of their season, would you feel like it's been encouraging on what you term man and say they need to do, kind of pushing forward now, with only a few days after the window?

  • Yeah, you know, just on some great sign instead to push on for to stay in the Premier League.

  • Obviously, that's what ask The village task is to do is to stay in the Premier League and the slyness that they've done now is to prove that everybody that that's what you want to be in this where you want to stay in the big question is can they stay out?

  • It's a hard one, really, because there's so many teams down there doing the same thing and everyone's buying players and they want to stay in the present.

  • But I think they've got enough just to just to stay in there mine and said it right now.

  • Yeah, okay, Marlene, come on the desk out.

  • Choose.

  • Talking about Strike is over there.

  • I can see.

  • I can see Emile Heskey and Darren Bent.

  • We've got Marlon Harewood.

  • Here's what a three pronged attack that would be right.

  • Keep your tweets coming in.

  • Hashtag transfer.

  • Have your say next.

  • Will Tottenham welcome a new winger to the club this week?

  • Plus jef united look to spend big all that and more.

  • Next big breaking news from Totem is coming.

  • The perfect tanks.

  • We're actually about to chat with the transfer team about Tottenham and specifically Steven Burg one.

  • We were going to say the Tottenham was still in front.

  • We can now say that deal has Bean agreed between Tottenham on his club P S V to sign the winger Steven Burg.

  • Wine okay weighs in London.

  • We knew that yesterday.

  • Already, the deal between Berg, Wine and Tottenham was believed to have been agreed already.

  • They just needed to get the fee accepted by Paris for MPs behind open Sorry, four top of that house.

  • In the last few seconds, it just happened.

  • All right, So Steven Burg Wine news More for winger than a striker, it looks like he is on his way to top them.

  • Onda.

  • Also today could be the day that Christian Eriksen goes out of Tottenham.

  • It looks like he's going to become an Inter Milan players.

  • Had his medical deal should be finalized and now today.

  • So we're watching that one.

  • Let's get back to burgle because this is a breaking news mark.

  • What do we know about him as a player?

  • It's fascinating, this one.

  • He's a player that's been on the radar for a number of clubs for quite some time.

  • He first came to prominence in the European Championships into 16 for the under 19 Dutch side.

  • There were two players that stood out in that tournament.

  • Steven Burg Wine.

  • Jonah Who?

  • The other one was someone called Killian and back.

  • So back in 2016 he came to prominence.

  • Isa quick, direct, Pacey Winger.

  • He's powerful.

  • He has good ability on the board.

  • He has the ability to make things happen as well.

  • So he's a player that will excite.

  • The fans will get people off their seats on.

  • He's been very much on the radar for a number of years, but clubs have just been monitoring him.

  • He's only 22 so still very much got his best years ahead of him.

  • But he's a player that has courted the attention.

  • And finally, as we've just seen their with that use, spurs have swooped to get their man on.

  • This could be a really poignant, exciting signing and could be seen as one of the big signings of the window.

  • How excited are you talking fans?

  • Let us know.

  • Hashtag transfer talk, Keith.

  • When Josie and Renew got the job piece, Jesse wouldn't need to do any business.

  • In January, she was happy with this squad.

  • They've already brought one in another one on the way and maybe even a striker as well.

  • So Why'd he change his mind?

  • Yeah, well, things have changed, haven't they?

  • Obviously.

  • Addict Sense is gone, though.

  • He wasn't are going.

  • We should we should.

  • Harry Kane, obviously as injured.

  • That is gonna be for some time.

  • So things things change is having to always had to in recent weeks.

  • Move Lucas murder to play through the medal.

  • Saunas.

  • Well, which then gives them less options in the three and behind.

  • It looks as though.

  • From what?

  • From what you say market, but Paraguayan that he can play.

  • And at least two of those three possessions off the front mind so they just need numbers in there.

  • But this is this is big news.

  • I mean, Dutch football on Dutch players on the up, we've seen Virgil Van Date rise to prominence.

  • We're seeing Georgina went out and do the exact same.

  • It looks as though, and sounds as though Paraguayan is the next off the off the conveyor belt.

  • So yeah, this could be our big cited for sport.

  • Sport is main position is as a as a winger, right?

  • And we know that Tom wanted some competition for hurricane at the moment to start because hurricane is injured.

  • Marlon, you were a striker.

  • If Tottenham want you as a striker.

  • But you know that Hurricane is their first choice when fit hurricane will play.

  • Would it put you off signing for them?

  • Um, me personally?

  • No, because I would like to go there and try and prove myself and learn off him on dhe situation like head office.

  • You don't wish it upon him, but it is injured a moment.

  • And then I would get my timeto help the club to go and do what they want to do.

  • School goals.

  • And the manager.

  • Marino, obviously, you don't really turn something that dad the manager of that color but wanted to come in for you.

  • You would definitely want to go and learn off that sort of person and the stadium talking them and everything sort of comes in involved in that situation.

  • Me personally, I would I would definitely want to go.

  • Yeah, let's just recap that that Tottenham on PSB I know and I have agreed a deal for Steven Burg Wind to move to the top hot spur state Mr Couple tweets about.

  • They said Daniels has been a very good window from Tony just need a center forward, and he says he's looking forward to watching Berg wine on.

  • Another Tottenham fan here says it's exciting to buy Jetson Fernandez on Steven Burg wine.

  • That's good.

  • So far it looks like Tottenham fans just wanting a striker as well, right?

  • Let's get on to Sheffield.

  • United them because it's been a great season for them so far and it could be about to get even better.

  • Alice explain to us why you really has been a brilliant season for Sheffield United so far.

  • Would you say eight in the Premier League?

  • Just one point off the top six on?

  • Now they're actually emerging as the favorites to sign the Norwegian international midfielder Sandy Berger.

  • Now Sandy Berger has actually told gank his current club, but he wants to leave, and that would be before Friday's transfer deadline.

  • He's 21 years old on his agent, has met with senior officials from gank.

  • We believe that happened last night to convince them to let him leave.

  • That's how much he wants to join the Premier League.

  • Negotiations between gank and Sheffield United on a potential £20 million move have been continuing the deadline is, of course, looming.

  • It's thought that the next couple of days, the next 48 hours could be very important in this move.

  • Happening.

  • Gang.

  • Obviously very keen to keep the midfielder.

  • We had the interview there with Aston Villa Allison matter.

  • Who was the gang captains?

  • They've already lost him in the last week.

  • 18 months left on this place contract is looking likely that they will let him go.

  • He's six foot four inches, so he's very, very tall.

  • And he scored four goals in 23 league appearances for gank this season.

  • So he's been in good form.

  • Would be a play that I should think would excite Shepherd.

  • United fans and a lot of them will remember.

  • The club was actually interested in signing him last summer as well.

  • Talk about his height there.

  • Six foot four is a holding midfielder.

  • There have been questions about his mobility.

  • That's the thing.

  • The Premier League is more nose is fast, is frenetic, the place, the tempo of the energy.

  • You have to get about the pitch quickly and you have to be able to move quickly on the bull.

  • But he is a good height, so he brings more, perhaps doesn't have in terms of being quick on the ball.

  • It does bring a physical presence to the side, and he's good in the air as well.

  • And that's one of his key attributes.

  • And I'm sure Shepherd United boss Chris World is looking at that thinking well, he might not be the person that's going to spray the ball around the pitch, but he's gonna bring something different to our midfield.

  • You made you mentioned is hating the physicality.

  • You look at that chef originated midfield all in or Greed and John Fleck have played pretty much every game.

  • If I had more best surgeon there.

  • Freeman Israel smaller, diminutive midfielders.

  • Yes, they've had a great start to the season, but maybe across Wilder things.

  • He needs to mix it up a bit and give them another option.

  • And it looks like he's gone for the complete opposite and he's got no whitecaps as well.

  • 20 cats For Norway, the age of 21 gives you an indication of to his ability and what the national side think of him.

  • Obviously, the extra level of experience is well on the big stage.

  • Marlon, how important is that holding midfielder in today's game is this massive nowadays and that that is just a cover they have for the back four back free.

  • And Chris Waddle obviously seems that he will play a big part in their team how he plays, and he sees him in that in that lineup.

  • Like he said, holding midfielder nowadays is is massively important because you see all the top players.

  • Top teams have a top holding midfielder that does hold the ball, stop the play from break the plate down and distribute the ball, and he looks like he's one of them plays that could do that.

  • Yeah, Chef, tonight I said that they were flying on a lot of managers who come into the studio here.

  • They always say the best time to buy is when you're doing well.

  • All right.

  • Is this what Chris Wild is doing without dough?

  • Yeah.

  • I mean, obviously they're off to a great start to this season.

  • Maybe someone like Sando Berridge may not be aware of feeling of shape originated before, but anyone who's anyone knows seem there start to the season across Europe on there.

  • No, attracted to this club and they see the way they're playing football as well.

  • I know from working in the Northeast when teams are struggling.

  • I've seen Sunderland in the past and tames Newcastle.

  • When you get to this January, transfer window is difficult for players to be attracted to the club.

  • When they think hang on, we make it.

  • We may get relegated here, we're in trouble.

  • You look at Chef Ridge and they're safe.

  • They're safe already so that that gives them an extra pulling power.

  • And it looks as though that's what's happened to you with this one.

  • Sometimes deals get presented to you that you don't really plan for.

  • But you look at the player and he's been on your list.

  • And you think, Well, actually, this has come to us at the right time, and now we've got time t bed him in, settle him in.

  • You play this season.

  • But we're gonna get the best out of him from the summer onwards and tell you what.

  • Let's go on to another one of Marlon's old clubs, West Ham now and they are looking to sign a new midfielder.

  • Aren't they can tell us about this?

  • Yes.

  • So this is atomic suit check.

  • That actually sounds very similar sort of player to Sander badge.

  • Big toll imposing defensive midfielder, the difference and hammers that he scores goals.

  • I think he's got a golden every four matches from a holding position in midfield.

  • It takes penalties, which probably helped a CZ well.

  • But he's been given permission by Slavia practice his club to travel to London, have a medical which we understand.

  • Hey, he undertook last night and is currently talking terms with West Ham.

  • The Slavia chairman actually has been quartered in saying that if the two parties reach agreement on the Fuel contract follows, it would be a record transfer for a player from the Czech League.

  • We understand that to be £17 million for this transfer on the Slavia chairman finish that off base in Thomas would deserve it.

  • So he's obviously going with the club's blessing as I see another tall, imposing midfielder who I'm told I'm told has great s stamina is good in the air and he's like a robot who doesn't stop running.

  • So Adam, maybe that's what West Ham needs right now.

  • It looks as though that is the midfielder that David Moyes wants.

  • Alexis always is gonna get him.

  • Yeah, he wants him a midfielder.

  • Marlon.

  • What areas Due West on your old club need to strengthen down there?

  • Quite a bit.

  • It's a bit hard because they have been playing really good football when it's just ain't being gone.

  • Got in their way as a striker when I used to play for the Summit.

  • Is nice to have strikers behind us Teddy Sheringham, Bobby Zamora, Dean Ashton and it's always as a strike.

  • It makes you wanna do better knowing that they're behind you and because I used to play.

  • That's my fault process.

  • I'm gonna do my job when they do it well, Andi think like West Ham.

  • They've only got one fit Striker that they need, and they need some more to just rotate and help Haleh on.

  • Gunderson's injured now.

  • So they just need another striker, I think, just to push a month and in tow, pushing back to where they should be.

  • Thea other underpants, that bean link with Matty cash from one of your other former clubs.

  • Not enforce.

  • I know you'll know a little bit about him.

  • He's being used as a right back all right wing back this season.

  • Looks like Western were quite liking to play in that position.

  • How highly do you rate him very highly?

  • Is one of not in the Forest is a cad Amir development player that's gone on and done really well on the new manager's that's come in.

  • There's take faith in them and he's paid in backwards how he's been playing this season on of the forest, looking to get back into the Premier League and knowing the players at the moment and pushing on.

  • And he's been a massive part of that.

  • I'm always worried about saving club too good to go down West time, just outside the bottom three.

  • There, 17 23.23 games do have a game in hand on on everyone else in the bottom half of the table, actually, but looking at their squad expected to get out with this Yeah, I've got no doubt that they will get out of it, that the place that they got then how they have they have they been doing the last couple of games that have been pushing her been fighting.

  • It's just a look of the green at the moment in which that comes on, get a few players back, fit and obviously like you, said three players in the transfer.

  • I think now there definitely definite.

  • I don't get to download the latest episode off the transfer Talk podcast available on iTunes.

  • Speaking next on good morning transfers.

  • Forget mom's transfer tails and we've got some news from Crystal Palace Promise Development from Crystal Palace.

  • This our transfer team member Michael Bridge is following this story closely.

  • Force.

  • Good morning to you, Michael.

  • What can you tell us?

  • Who does it involve?

  • Good morning, Thomas.

  • Just say Marlon Harewood absolutely nails that on the top.

  • Miss Drucker's fantastic stuff, Marlon, But let's get Crystal Palace on.

  • PSB Eindhoven and Patrick Ban on it does look like they're ready to spend Stephen Bergeron money as a camera built.

  • The club of upped their offer.

  • Crystal Palace of Iran Hole for a favor rising.

  • So, we believe £7.6 million now for player of his ability.

  • Tom.

  • That doesn't sound an awful lot in today's market, but this is the key.

  • He has 18 months left on his contract, and we've only just seen recently that values can decrease as the contract is running out.

  • Christian Eriksen, Of course, being one example, But I must stress very highly regarded at Crystal Palace.

  • Tom.

  • He's very happy at the club on at the club.

  • I'm not looking to sell anyone this window.

  • Yeah, Michael, you got a thumbs up from Marlon, by the way there.

  • But you're going to be at Crystal Palace on Deadline day.

  • Do you expect to be busy time?

  • I've got the hotel booked already.

  • They have given me the key already.

  • I'm gonna be there to the bitter end because I know they're looking to bring players in.

  • Steve Parrish and Doug Freeman working very hard behind this thing's Atmore place.

  • Not just bodies, but good players.

  • They be looking for a right back, well documented, with Adam Weinberg second leading in the summer, Left back.

  • That's the key here on our whole place.

  • But they're looking for a left back.

  • Potentially another strike about sink.

  • Tosa has settled in really, really well.

  • And of course, we broke last big about interesting Yannick Carrasco.

  • That's gone quiet from now but that arise again with Deadlines Day.

  • We just cannot wait for dead London and I always expect to be busy at Crystal Palace.

  • Don't expect it to be any change in that I'm always busy down.

  • There is good news for all of us, Michael.

  • Thank you.

  • Yes, Still here by the sky pad and still joined by Marlon Harewood.

  • Marlon, you kind of remember your care career so predominately with West Ham?

  • Think about you know, the first days as well Aston Villa's we spoke about earlier.

  • But it's just been a little bit of time in China, my guy.

  • I mean, talk to us about that experience.

  • What was that like in terms of incorporating that new culture?

  • You know, it was a great experience, and when I was at Blackpool was coming to sort of the end of my career on a team like Guan.

  • Joel came in from me.

  • They said they were relegated Thio the first division.

  • So they asked me if I wanted to come and help them strong getting back to the Super League.

  • Now we think about some of the superstar that's going over to China is African Oscar Fink of Hulk.

  • Everyone wants to seem to experience this new league.

  • What is it about it that makes it so different.

  • Special.

  • My time there.

  • I enjoyed it so much they made me so welcomed the team that we played on the football that we're playing.

  • It's sort of our championship football on Dhe.

  • Obviously, when you get into the Premier League, which they called the Super League, it's on a different level, cause then they play all around Asia and stuff.

  • It's it's really good.

  • So what level would you kind of compare?

  • You've paid right for the English Pyramid and you talk about so off the temperature level.

  • But what was what was that sort of level lack comparison?

  • It's just it's hard to describe.

  • It is different.

  • It's probably our trump shit football, but you get top players coming over to make it even better.

  • So there, too.

  • That's what they wanted to do to make the league better and better and better.

  • Like you just said that some of the top class players, like went over that to do that, I haven't been keeping an eye on them, but recently, but I'm sure we would have been better than when I was there.

  • I have to ask you obviously, culturally, you had the chance to experience it.

  • But from a sport in perspective of all as a player, would you recommend players tau experience a move like that?

  • I would.

  • What was football when it could take you anywhere, different cultures, different countries and an opportunity to go to China to play football?

  • And I enjoyed every moment of it totals like in terms of the day today.

  • What was it was any different in terms of double preparations We know haven't because the preparations and they got a lot of respect.

  • Facts is like going for breakfast and stuff.

  • You have to wait for the manager to calm down before you could go to breakfast and the train in the train like three times a day.

  • The team miles we will enjoy.

  • That's what we've trained on time and he never feel the humidity is probably one of the fittest I've ever been on.

  • Just that the culture was really good, going out quite well, respected from order, the locals and then I went out and looked after by all the lads and I had a really good time.

  • I can't speak any highly of the team that when they went out makes that looked after me very well.

  • So, like for anyone to go over there from my experience, I would definitely recommend it.

  • And it was It was good for me at my time.

  • And I think finally, I just ask you to fill in.

  • Tempted with the growth that China is obviously trying to make a livin football, do you think, actually could be a like a big some of the European leagues?

  • And you see many more players, but I wouldn't say it's biggest all the other leagues, but it's one of them legs that people will go to wanna play there because it's not gonna be big, the primal egos or anywhere else like that.

  • But it's gonna be one of them leads that people want to be interested in, go out there and play modern, have enjoyed the town's name.

  • I got to go back to think there's more time to come, J D don't worry, Okay, Marlon, we're gonna get in your insight now.

  • Into what?

  • It's like a player during the transfer window on transfer Deadline Day as well on deadline day.

  • I know you never made a move on that day, But but But what's it like for a player when you know potential moves could happen at any time?

  • It has its pluses and minuses.

  • Really, because it could be the best thing for a player to goto a top club or for the club.

  • You leavin off?

  • See if he's Cominat team's coming in for him.

  • He's obviously a massive part of the team that's there.

  • So for that team, it's It's a bit of a downer that you have to leave in.

  • And if your friend that you've been playing before season and all sudden January comes along and and he's gone, so one of them things that you just have to get some of it is football at the same time as a player of a team like West Time came in for me.

  • I didn't want to tell them things down because where they were and what they wanted to try to do and get back to the permanent got just couldn't turn something down.

  • Have you ever been in the position where you have wanted to leave?

  • But your manager hasn't let you?

  • For whatever reason?

  • Yeah, I was asking Villa were playing that much there because they had some top class players.

  • John Karu, Gabby Barnhardt, she young.

  • I find it quite hard.

  • And then I went on loan to Newcastle, which I probably enjoyed my time there was they got relegated to the jump ship and they were looking to go straight back when I was playing up front with Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll.

  • We form a great relationship and they got promoted to back to the Premier League.

  • And then I had to go back to Aston Villa on Martin O'Neill.

  • What?

  • Let me go If it was Martin or the club, whatever reason, they won't let me go.

  • But I wanted to go permanently.

  • What once you got them back up?

  • Yeah, I think it's sometimes easy to forget.

  • Lik

three days to go until deadline day and some big names will be making some big moves.
