  • I don't ever wanna welcome to another video knowing today's when we're checking out another graphics card.

  • This is the M S I.

  • G force GTX 6 70 on it is of course, the power addition Know what that means is that you get the twin froze a caller on here A pretty decent to fan set up on DDE.

  • You get a decent factory Overcook.

  • In fact, this ju t x 6 70 It's faster than in videos that stock ju t x 6 80 But it's not the fastest Do Tex 6 70 on the market.

  • No, that honor probably belongs to something like the zone attack extreme OSI addition Card.

  • Nonetheless, a used Ji Tech 6 70 these days doesn't really cost you all that much.

  • So I wanted to ask the simple question.

  • Is it still worth buying one?

  • And can it still run games at 60 frames per second, Something that it would have done quite easily back in mid 2000 and 12?

  • Respect wise, we've got 1344 coup because a 1020 megahertz stuck clock on the 1000 and 98 megahertz boost clock this is a 170.

  • What TDP card and as such requires 26 pin connectors.

  • In order to run, I'd say that you probably want a decent 550 what power supply, at least in order to use one of these in your system.

  • But if you've got a quality 500 what unit?

  • Then you should still be able to use this card just fine.

  • Whatever Got orange eyes, the screen gone orange?

  • Was the sun just what's happened?

  • It's messed up the lighting.

  • So what I want to do is see what it takes in terms of game settings in order to run games at 60 frames per second.

  • And then I want to see how high we can turn things up in order to still maintain at least 30 frames per second.

  • Because some people are happy with 30 F.

  • P s and some people want sixties, I thought, If we cover both situations, then it gives you a better idea of what it takes in order to get payable frame rates with this creepy you.

  • So let's get into it, right?

  • So the first game I tested was Assassin's Creed, Odyssey and First of all, I wanted to see how high we could turn the settings up in order to constantly retain at least 30 frames per second.

  • Now, to do this, I had to set the game to 10 80 p on run with the median settings where we averaged just over 30 during the benchmark test.

  • Now, if you want 60 frames per second in this game, then you're going tohave to opt for 7 20 p with the low in game preset to average slightly over 60.

  • Although there will be times when you do see frame rates below that 60 frames per second mount, there will be a couple of drops here and there, but in orderto average 60 frames per 2nd 7 20 p lo is gonna be the setting that you're one in Assassin's creed.

  • Obviously, Now, Apex Legends was a slightly more complex situation because if you wanted at least 30 frames per second and sitting the game to full HD with a mixture of high and medium settings, did the trick just file?

  • There will be some instances where the frame right shoots up to above 60 anyway, but with these settings, not once did we see it go below 30 now, in order to retain 60 frames per second?

  • Well, things were a little more tricky because in some areas of the game, you can run it with high, lower the settings a little bit, and you will see 60 f p s.

  • However, if you want a constant 60 then you're gonna need to use the low settings with 900 p resolution.

  • Now.

  • Personally, I'd play at 10.

  • 80 p, just lower the settings a little bit and deal with the frame drops.

  • I mean, you're going to get drops into the low forties in some instances, and the average isn't going to be 60 FBS.

  • It'll be slightly lower, but that's the way I play.

  • I did it here simply to show you what you need to do it in order to constantly hit 60.

  • Now, Battlefield five runs fairly well on a lot of hardware.

  • It's more CPU intensive, so it works quite well with those older graphics cards.

  • If you want 30 frames per second, you can set the game's at 10 80 p resolution and used the high preset here.

  • I changed nothing else.

  • I had the resolution scale.

  • What 100% on we averaged between 30 and 40 frames per second during this tank level.

  • For those of you who want to retain a solid 60 well, there's good news.

  • You can still play 10 80 p resolution, but you will need to use the low proof set.

  • I chose this taint level because it's pretty intensive on the system and there's a ton of explosions going on on screen.

  • But the game holds up pretty well on the duty X 6 70 that at this point the card was starting to get a little bit loud.

  • These twin froze.

  • The cards are usually generally quiet, but I think we've got an issue with one of the fans here, which is always a risk when buying used that something might not work correctly.

  • If you want to average 30 frames per second in far cry new dawn, then you can turn the settings up to 10 80 p.

  • Ultra.

  • We're using the ultra preset here with ta A for the anti alias ing, and we had no trouble retaining this figure during the benchmark test.

  • Gameplay will be very similar, so there's no worries.

  • There This is how far cry new dawn plays on consuls.

  • I believe a locked 30 frames per second.

  • But here you're sort of getting a few frames either way.

  • In some instances, I'd say 10 a tp ultra.

  • The game certainly looks good, but if you want to hit 60 frames per second or achieve an average of at least 60 frames per second, then you're gonna want to run the game at 900 p.

  • Lo.

  • The game still looks okay on DWI.

  • Still managed to keep the resolution scale at 100% too.

  • So it doesn't look as bad as it would if you had to drop that.

  • The 6 70 is still putting up a pretty good fight.

  • Now, in fortnight, you're gonna have a decent experience, no matter what settings you choose.

  • First of all, our chose 10.

  • 80 p with the highest in game preset on.

  • We saw at least 30 frames per second as expected.

  • In fact, we still saw pretty close to 60 which was a pretty impressive result.

  • No matter where you are on the map, you're going to be seeing at least 30 frames per second easily on a card like the GTX 6 78 maybe aging now, but it will still run a came, like fortnight with absolutely no problems.

  • In fact, it's probably an ideal GPU for titles like that.

  • Now, if you want to achieve a constant 60 f p.

  • S or you got to do is turn the preset down to high.

  • Keep the resolution a 10 80 p and you're good to go.

  • You can see here no matter what we're doing on the screen.

  • The aim stayed pretty stable on It was a decent experience, in my opinion.

  • And finally, in just calls for 4 30 F.

  • P.

  • S, you can set again to 10 80 p with the high preset on enable SS I Oh, this is a CE high as you can go in order to maintain a constant 30 which it's pretty decent.

  • I believe the consul versions again run at this frame rate, and with the settings, it's gonna look very similar to those so you'll have a pretty decent time in just cause for for 60.

  • Well, you're gonna want to turn things down to 7 20 p low on that's for constant 60 frames per second.

  • Here If you turn the settings up any higher than this, say 7 20 p normal or you change the resolution to 900 p, then you will see drops below 60 frames per second.

  • Don't there we have it.

  • Ji Tech, 6 70 It's still a capable card when it comes to 30 f.

  • P s gaming, you can still use pretty decent graphical settings.

  • But if you want 60 frames per second from this thing on a constant basis, well, you're going tohave to except a lower resolution in a lot of titles as well as lower settings to this was a 400 U.

  • S.

  • Dollar card back in 2012.

  • And if you bought one back then well, it's good to see that it would have lasted you a decent amount of time.

  • So with all that said, thank you very much for watching or even like on this video.

I don't ever wanna welcome to another video knowing today's when we're checking out another graphics card.
