  • So in this video, I'm gonna show you how to upgrade your memory on your 17 2027 inch I'm at and save more than $900 doing it.

  • All right, let's get started.

  • Hey, guys, how you doing?

  • So we're not doing our regular vlog today because I just got something pretty cool in the mail.

  • You can see it behind me.

  • I got the 17 2027 inch iMac, fully Specht.

  • And as intel I 74.2 gigahertz quad core processor, it comes with the radio on 5 80 graphics cards with eight gigabytes of memory.

  • I also got the one terabyte az esti.

  • Now, one thing I didn't get is the memory upgrade.

  • What I did was actually got the base eight gigs.

  • The reason I did that is, if you try to purchase it directly from the Mac store, you have to pay an extra 1000 of $400.

  • But I'm gonna show you guys today how you could do it for a lesson.

  • $500 which is like more than half the price.

  • How did I do it?

  • I got these two guys today.

  • What we're gonna do is I'm gonna show you how to install the memory so you guys don't have to pay the full price for your I'm AC memory upgrade.

  • All right, let's get into it.

  • The first thing you're gonna want to do is unplugged the power cable from the back of the eye.

  • Mac, just about the socket.

  • You'll see a little button.

  • You're going to need to press this down to pop open the memory latch just above it.

  • In our case, I used a chopstick to pop it open.

  • If you're like me, you'll have to four gigabyte cards preinstalled.

  • To remove the cards, you'll need to spread open the side arms just like this.

  • Gently pull up the four gigabyte memory cards one by one.

  • Here's how the cards look.

  • Now we're going to replace the memory cards with 4 16 gigabyte cards.

  • This will give us a total of 64 gigabytes of DVR for memory.

  • I'll leave a link in the description below, in case you want to get Theseus.

  • If it memory cards as they have been tested, be careful.

  • Some memory may not work with my Mac.

  • Gently insert each 16 gigabyte memory card.

  • I start with this lot for this away.

  • For me to make the insulation a bit simpler, push the memory all the way down.

  • You'll hear a little snap when it gets seated properly.

  • When you're done, push the memory trade back down and make sure that trey arms lock into place, replace the memory latch and finally reconnect the power cable.

  • Turn the PC on and go to the about this Max Green.

  • Go to the memory tab and there you go.

  • You'll see the 4 16 gigabytes of DDR four memory and sold for a total of 64 gigabytes, all less than $500.

  • And there you go, all operated.

  • The reason I got this new iMac is because I was editing all their videos on a 2016 Mac book.

  • Pro 13 Inch was fully Specht as well.

  • Just like this I'm at.

  • But it started slow down when we started doing a lot of like four K video as a follow up, I'm gonna actually do a comparison of the 2016 13 inch MacBook Pro with the 2000 and 17 27 inch I'm at Foley Square.
