  • Hey guys!

  • Hey guys! Poor Leo.

  • Today we got tagged in the Mimei end of the year tag challenge.

  • We were tagged by Mira from the channel "Kanadajin3,"

  • or "Kanadajin(san)."

  • So today we're gonna answer 5 questions together.

  • And we were challenged to do it separately in separate videos, but we're gonna do it together.

  • It still counts as two people, though.

  • What was the best thing that happened to you this year?

  • OF COURSE the best thing that happened to me this year was

  • I was able to visit Jun twice.

  • So- Thank you...

  • What?? What is this?!

  • It just feels weird!

  • You have a cat.

  • Oh, yeah. It feels nice like that.

  • I have to do it like this. I have to do it like a cat.

  • Okay, so, we've been married for a little over two years but we're

  • long distance because I'm contracted into my job in America.

  • Sorry if the camera moved. Leo dropped the camera.

  • It's on her cat tower, so she got upset.

  • Anyway, what was the best thing that happened to you this year?

  • Um, right, well obviously being with you here is the best thing,

  • but except for that- "Aside from that."

  • Aside from that... sorry, yeah, I won't exclude.

  • So besides that, we got a ton of subscribers. That's the best thing that happened to us this year.

  • Even if I could send a D-mail to myself in the past I wouldn't believe it.

  • It was like- OH. D-mail!

  • Yeah, D-mail. I wouldn't believe it. Well, anyway, yeah, it's amazing.

  • Our first subscriber was your dad. We only had your dad as a subscriber for like a month.

  • Right. Like a month after we started!

  • The view counter said 3 or 4 and it was all dad.

  • Thank you for watching our videos.

  • Okay. What was worst/most challenging thing that happened to you this year?

  • Just one thing?

  • Maybe the worst news is when they changed my job.

  • I was supposed to go to Korea earlier this year

  • and then they they decided not to send me the day before I was supposed to leave

  • after they already shipped everything I own to Korea.

  • And now your stuff is still in Korea. MY STUFF IS STILL IN KOREA.

  • What was the worst thing or most challenging thing that happened to you?

  • Well, one of my family members has passed away so I think that's the

  • worst thing that happened. I hope she is doing okay on the other side.

  • Okay, so number 3: tell us about your favorite game, tv show, application, song, etc, of 2013.

  • My favorite tv... oh game is first.

  • Um, well, I stopped playing games last April when they shipped everything I own to Korea!

  • But before that I was playing a lot of Skyrim still.

  • My favorite tv show is probably... actually it's probably Project Runway.

  • I love Project Runway. Oh, really? But winter is coming.

  • I was thinking about Game of Thrones but I'll put that as my favorite book.

  • I just finished reading the 5th book of Game of Thrones.

  • Yeah, it says etc so... Yeah, etc so I can add book.

  • My favorite song would be "I Got a Boy" from Girls' Generation.

  • Yeah, I listened to that song several times- [singing]

  • I don't know--I can't speak Korean. I don't know what I was saying.

  • I don't think those were the lyrics.

  • So what are your favorite things?

  • My favorite tv show... I don't know if it's a tv show, but I started watching Conan O'Brien.

  • Conan. CONAN O'BRIEN.

  • He's really, really funny. I love Conan.

  • Especially when he reviews tv games. Team Coco!

  • Yeah, his... ohh what's it called?! Reviews something...

  • Yeah, his Uninformed Gamer or something.

  • It was hilarious. It WAS hilarious.

  • I love it. I love that show.

  • Oh, my favorite application, huh? I have to show it.

  • Guys, guess! What do you think this application is gonna be about?!

  • You have a couple seconds until he brings it up on his phone.

  • I think some people might already have this application on their phones.

  • I don't... why would you have this application?

  • Go do it for them. The application is called "Tickling cat."

  • It's a tickling cat.

  • Okay. And you just tickle.

  • It wasn't the good face? No.

  • I don't know...where should I tickle? Okay.

  • Isn't this amazing?

  • Are you guys surprised that that's Jun's favorite app?

  • So, next is show us the three best things you bought this year.

  • Well, since almost everything I own is in Korea, I'm

  • just going to have to make do with what I have here.

  • So number one is...

  • I know pretty much everyone before us who made these videos

  • was showing all of their name brand items and expensive things...

  • We are really cheap.

  • We're kind of a cheap family.

  • Okay, so- Show them what you've got!

  • My number one favorite thing I bought this year:

  • Petroleum jelly! YES.

  • Okay, so I've had an issue with chapped lips for like... I can't even remember how long.

  • I've been addicted since I was a teenager. And this year I started using petroleum jelly on my lips,

  • and now my lips aren't peeling all the time, and I can use chapstick less often.

  • Sometimes I can go a whole day without chapstick, it's-

  • I'M BUSY.

  • No one cares about your chapstick or whatever thing!

  • Pay attention! Number two! Are these sunglasses, so-

  • OMG STOP! Give me the cat application!

  • Pay attention to me. I'm talking. I'm talking here. Okay, so.

  • How expensive do these sunglasses look?

  • A dollar.

  • No they don't!

  • You can't get these at the dollar store! Okay.

  • These look nice, right? These look like...

  • What if I told you these were $500 sunglasses?

  • I would be lying; they were two for $15 on sale.

  • So how much have- Actually NO. NO, it was originally

  • two for $15 and it was a special sale day so it was double and I got FOUR for $15.

  • That's right. So, 15 divided by 4.

  • I'm not going to do that because I hate math.

  • So, the reason I love these sunglasses is because I have really sensitive

  • eyes and it's really hard to find sunglasses that look good on you.

  • I think these look pretty good. So, I'm pretty happy with them.

  • So how much have you spent in total so far?

  • I think I've spent about like $5 total so far.

  • All right, number three! It's Dr. Bronner's tea tree oil soap.

  • These bottles... Jun originally introduced me to Dr. Bronner. He bought me the lemon/citrus one and

  • I was like what on earth did you buy because I read the side.

  • And like legit, these quotes are crazy.

  • Let's see... "The surest way to destroy our enemy is by making him our sincere friend.

  • God must have loved the common people of the earth; he made so many of them."

  • Abraham Lincoln.

  • Did you buy this without reading these quotes on it?

  • How could you buy something if you-

  • What's wrong with that? He was one of the best presidents of America.

  • Anyway, despite the crazy quotes on its bottle, he actually makes really good soaps.

  • And tea tree oil is really good for people like me who have acne prone skin.

  • And this also helps with redness because my face is always really red.

  • So I was really happy to find this soap because it works really well for me.

  • And it helps keep my acne away and my face less red.

  • So, yes! Tea tree oil soap. That is my number 3.

  • Sorry, Leo knocked over the camera again.

  • So, what are your three favorite things you bought this year?

  • My first favorite thing is... onion skin powder.

  • Yes, onion skin powder.

  • You laughed at my petroleum jelly!

  • Yeah but this one's really healthy and tastes good.

  • You were playing a cat application when I was talking about

  • petroleum jelly, and you're showing onion skin powder!

  • Well, I don't really buy stuff often, besides spices and books.

  • Actually, I've used this, too. It's not that bad.

  • And it's actually really healthy.

  • Yeah, it has a really strong flavor, though.

  • It cleans your blood.

  • Onion is famous for cleaning your blood. It's very healthy for you.

  • And... some books. This is a series.

  • I don't know how to explain these books.

  • It's... it's really sad. Sorry.

  • What genre? I don't know. School?

  • Like real life? Slice of life?

  • No, not at all. Oh, okay.

  • Kind of suspense. Suspense?

  • Mystery?

  • Kind of. Kind of mystery?

  • Yeah, people die in this book, so, kind of.

  • Yeah. I might like it.

  • But it's really, really, really sad, so... Anyway, one of my favorite books of this year.

  • What is it? Can you read the name?

  • ?????? (Pushuke no namida/ Psyche's Tears)

  • And, I bought another book.

  • It's "The Willpower Instinct."

  • This one's really, really good and useful. I read this book every day.

  • How much have you read so far? Uh, most of it. I-

  • Oh, really?

  • Well, the author--she gave a speech on TED talk. She was really famous.

  • And she was a really famous teacher at Stanford University.

  • Okay. All right, what's the last question?

  • What's your New Year's Resolution?

  • My New Year's Resolution... My New Year's Resolution is

  • upload more videos more often on my Jun's Kitchen channel, I guess.
