  • Hi, everybody.

  • Right now I'm in a town called Mahdi Mahdi.

  • Matter is round or circle.

  • And Morty, it's forest.

  • It's a really cute name.

  • But the reason I'm here is a little bit more serious than the usual videos.

  • But we're still gonna keep it light hearted, because this amazing things going on in this town to today I'm here in modern money to learn more about the effect that Hagibis had on the town.

  • If you guys remember, huh?

  • Gibbous.

  • I guess we don't really talk about it that much anymore.

  • Because it's over.

  • It's done.

  • But, uh, the lasting effect have bean pretty intense on this town.

  • So most people in Japan No, it is Typhoon number 19 on Dhe.

  • You know, some places there were big warnings like Tokyo.

  • We had a massive warning and nothing really happened.

  • In the end, there's a bit of damage, but, uh, for madame ot the damage was really intense.

  • E just tell you how I got to matter.

  • Money.

  • By the way, until you were about it is it's in talk A.

  • So I took a Shinkansen from Tokyo and then I changed it.

  • Sendai to another train and then we drove here can take a train to matrimony, but the thing is the main train line.

  • It only runs a couple of times a day.

  • Now it had to cut down a lot because of the damage from the typhoon.

  • But you can still get here by train before we get started.

  • I really like to thank G M seven for collaborating with this video because they've given me the opportunity to come and check out Mad Ahmadi and learn about it.

  • We just spent a little bit of time driving around the town and seeing the damage, and it's crazy.

  • Some places, you know, don't look so affected.

  • But then when you get near the river, you can see the line in the buildings where the water waas and so a lot of houses air now unusable because there was just completely damaged by the by the water in the overflow of the river.

  • They're still working on a lot of things here.

  • There's still lot of repairs that need to happen.

  • Hagibis actually happened back in October, so it's been three or four months since then and you know, it looks like things are getting back to normal, but there's still a lot that needs to be done.

  • Okay, let's go and check out our first activity.

  • Which is science do with rice.

  • I've been reading about it.

  • It's very interesting, but I'll update you guys when we're inside because it's a little different than regular rice.

  • Do you got June?

  • You need to know who do you go there?

  • You must stop when you You must get it more.

  • I know he is a must Stop.

  • Wait.

  • Okay, so we just got an explanation on hell.

  • This place did.

  • During the flooding and the typhoon, everybody came together to help, which is so sweet.

  • But we're going to go in now and make some money giddy with the rice.

  • Although I'm Zabrze, I work for GM seven.

  • I've been in modern morning for about a year and I was here during the typhoon in October.

  • So after the typhoon, like we didn't have water running water.

  • But we were able to get water like it either by water or people had, well, water that they would like other people use, like if there's a disaster, you know?

  • How can you have something that would be easy to prepare, so it's like, really Japanese.

  • Cut open line number one.

  • Okay, so cut the top off, and now you're putting the hot water.

  • Okay, Ceiling.

  • Okay.

  • So while we sit and wait, you You don't live in modern money, But you live in the town over, right?

  • Yeah.

  • I love two towns over.

  • Yeah, actually, I was staying at a friend's house.

  • Ahmad Ahmadi.

  • D'oh!

  • You see, like the river.

  • It was like going up already.

  • Yeah, there's a waterfall, and the waterfall is usually late.

  • I think I woke up in the morning and, you know, look out the window.

  • It's beautiful, son.

  • Yeah, but you can see, like the soft defense truck, like my friend lives near the elementary school, which was the emergency shelter.

  • I just found out that this will last for five years before you put the water before you open it way in the last five years.

  • So that's awesome.

  • I don't know if you guys know this, but if you're in a disaster prone area like Japan, we always have, like, a disaster pack hidden away or somewhere.

  • That's easy to get.

  • When there's a disaster that happens here, we go.

  • It is actually trying a look at that.

  • Just take a bite for you.

  • Mmm.

  • Really good try.

  • I really need hot food.

  • That's like the free stored rice is a little different, but it's good.

  • It's It's soft as well.

  • It's almost like a convenience store.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • You guys are interested.

  • I'm having some disaster food or even just normal for you.

  • Just have it.

  • Like if you're going hiking or have a really, really good And they were going thio I guess it's like the way I found out about the Mahdi Mahdi Specialty.

  • Hetzel.

  • Daikon.

  • It's just dried daikon, but it looks like belly buttons.

  • So belly button is missile.

  • Makes me feel weird.

  • E got meringues.

  • And when I first saw these, I thought, Oh, yeah, much of flavor, whatever.

  • That's cool.

  • But actually, it's mulberry leaf flavor, which I have no idea what that tastes like.

  • Mulberries before, but never more relief.

  • So I'll try these tonight.

  • Maybe after we have some dinner.

  • Yeah, Or try.

  • Okay.

  • I'm gonna try the mold.

  • Relief brings so cute.

  • Oh, What?

  • That's such a unique taste.

  • Tastes like what?

  • I think a leaf would taste like Nay, Cherie meringue.

  • Really good, though I get addicted to these.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Hey.

  • So I've arrived at the place that was staying tonight, and it is so awesome.

  • It's a place called huge.

  • Their mom.

  • Oh, it's a beautiful, I guess it's a guesthouse or in, uh, but they have private rooms of private bathrooms if you want it, and it's so modern.

  • It's so fresh.

  • I think that it must have been recently done up because it is so beautiful.

  • So when you come in, there's a table here.

  • But the best thing is it's, uh is it cool?

  • Tattoo table.

  • It's got a blanket.

  • So I think it might be a cool tattoo table.

  • And then I've got two beds just for me, but I think I'll be taking this one.

  • So if you want to stay here with a friend, you can do that also.

  • So I've got a private toilet and it's a beauty.

  • So she's gonna be using local ingredients from Madame Oni and making some cuisine.

  • I hear we're having cheese fondue.

  • Very excited.

  • Just forget to press record, but it's fine.

  • It happened.

  • I'm not lying.
