  • I'm here at my mum's house with all my siblings

  • and this is everything

  • I brought them back

  • from Japan

  • This is you.

  • This is a very special Santa for you.

  • (laughter)

  • And this one's for you.

  • Actually I'm sure they have these here

  • in America

  • but im pretty sure that none of you have ever bought

  • one before...

  • its a... I don't know what this is

  • Why don't you read it?

  • before and after

  • Read it?

  • Before.

  • This is pretty confusing...

  • Can't read it

  • I'm seeing theres a graph on the back in the top right,

  • trying to figure out what that is.

  • You run it across your glass

  • and then it makes your windshield water repellent

  • so when it rains

  • the rain drops are just gonna bounce off your windshield

  • instead of getting all messy

  • We've been using this for a long time and it's pretty neat

  • Does it work?

  • Yah.

  • This is for you...

  • HI (to sweet doggo)

  • Stop...slow down.

  • Hi buddy (still to sweet doggo)

  • Going to school...

  • as an engineer I figured you'd need

  • (Barking)

  • Professional school equipment

  • It's a cat wearing socks

  • Or a cat with patterns like wearing socks

  • (Rachel and Bree laugh)

  • [High-pitched] Do your cats make too much noise?

  • (unintelligible) kitten mittens!

  • (Rachel and Bree laugh)

  • Kitsushita nyanko.

  • Kutusoota...no

  • (Rachel laughs)

  • You've got it wrong.

  • Kutsushita.

  • Nnn...no.

  • Okay...

  • I don't think thats it

  • How do I pronounce it?

  • It is uhhh...Kootoosulah.

  • What are those...bears?

  • (laughing)

  • Yeah, what the heck is this?

  • ...are they gonna eat that?

  • (laughing)

  • It's like strapped down.

  • It's got a face

  • What is that thing thats about to be eating that face?

  • (laughing) I don't know but

  • he's like watching his expression....

  • (unintelligible)

  • This one's for you.

  • And this ones for you.

  • Annnnd this ones for you.

  • And its got a very special Santa on it.

  • I won't tell if you don't tell!

  • That's what he's saying.

  • I think you'll have to help me on the wording of this one

  • It's Ichimi. Chilli powder?

  • Red pepper and stuff.

  • I use that on my chickens sometimes.

  • Yeah, it's really good.

  • This is also for Bree.

  • (laughter)

  • They're kinda like clear red with flowers on it

  • This is some quality wrapping paper.

  • Paper's made of stick!

  • It's creepy Santa again.

  • (laughter)

  • (grunt)

  • It's the.... beans!

  • Try them!

  • They look like cheetos.

  • This is for bree

  • usually people put them around light switches

  • they're like stickers for your room

  • It's MeltyKiss!

  • Is it a chocolate? Try it.

  • Yeah, try it.

  • That one...that one's good.

  • Maybe later.

  • Open that one up

  • I think you gotta try it now, (unintelligible)

  • God damn it!

  • Your Santa!

  • Annd this is for both you guys

  • Its from America though

  • (unintelligible)

  • I got -

  • Andrew got it

  • Hot sauces!

  • Awesome. I'll take it home first.

  • If i take it home for the first week he'll forget about it.

  • Yeah.

  • And I got a whole bunch of snacks cause i got tired of wrapping stuff.

  • Oh, mentaiko.

  • So this one's like fish egg shrimp crisps.

  • Wait, fish eggs...‽

  • Yup, but its a good type of fish egg.

  • That one's chocolate, they're really good.

  • So they taste like what, crab meat or somethin'?

  • They... they taste like

  • crisps with a little bit of crabby flavour.

  • Yeah, those are kinda like soft crisps.

  • Those are ramen bits.

  • These are more of Daniel's alley.

  • Chicken flavoured

  • Chicken flavoured what?

  • Little ramen bits.

  • And these are more chocolate things?

  • Yeah that's more chcolate matcha.

  • That one's fancy.

  • ...these are made in sweat shops.

  • It does look fancy.

  • It's not made in a sweat shop!

  • Look at the bags under the eyes

  • they're tired of working.

  • Annd i got a bunch of stuff here for mum and John.

  • And i'll show you them after they open them.

  • I got mum penguin salt and pepper shakers

  • Because my mum loves penguins

  • So I got umeshu

  • which is mine and Jun's favourite Japanese alcohol

  • (unintelligible) a fun wine.

  • This is really good

  • and we wanted to get mum something nice

  • So we got...

  • a Japanese chef knife

  • which is really nice quality

  • It looks pretty sharp.

  • It's just that easy, I...

  • No training required.

  • Keep that away from him.

  • Sharper knives are actually safer to use.

  • Because you don't need to, press like uh...

  • Use so much force??

  • (unintelligible)

  • Yes. Yes. Ooooh.

  • So this is mum's knife

  • Cannot...cut.

  • I like sharpening stone

  • This is, um...

  • This is making the blade

  • Um...

  • Look like a saw

  • So...

  • So if you magnified it up,

  • really, really close to the edge

  • It would look like a saw

  • instead of being really straight

  • because its just not

  • as a good a quality as a sharpening stone.

  • For most people this is completely fine

  • should be sharper a little bit.

  • Oh, yeah, it's cutting.

  • Now you can't let Daniel around any of (unintelligible)

  • I don't understand why

  • (unintelligible)

  • It needs a soft cutting board so it doesn't get dull

  • so we bought my mum a cutting board here in America

  • just so we wouldn't have to carry one in our luggage

  • 'Cos they're quite heavy.

  • And we got John...a...

  • pottery glass

  • to drink his umeshu from

  • and i got my mum a... TOILET COVER!

  • I know this is kinda weird but

  • we don't have these in America and

  • I was creeped out by it the first time I saw it

  • cause I was like why would i want furry toilet seats

  • but they are actually really nice in winter cause its nice and warm

  • and you can put it in the washing machine

  • so...you just wrap it round your toilet like this

  • and wash it whenever you wipe.

  • (in background) such a hassle.

  • Its got a cat on it

  • I forgot two of their gifts in Japan

  • What you gotta like (unintelligible)?

  • ...luggage.

  • No, so...

  • I'll need to take a (unintelligible)

  • I'll have to take a picture of those when i get back to Japan.

  • Mail them back.

  • So the other things I got were

  • a pair of chopsticks for John;

  • and because my mom tends to lose keys a lot

  • I found this and thought this would be hilarious and great,

  • so you put this on your key chain

  • and then if you clap your hands

  • it tweets

  • so you'll be able to figure out where your keys are.

  • Let's see if i can get this to work.

  • I'm gonna open this up.

  • Press the eyes, it should...light up

  • Ok, so I had to switch it, I think

  • and lets see if I clap.

  • (clapping)

  • (chirping)

  • Yeah!

  • (clapping continues)

  • That's amazing!

  • I'm gonna hide it under their coat.

  • (clapping)

  • (lots more clapping)

  • Birdie? Birdie, no!

  • (chirping)

  • (sound of fabric being ruffled)

  • (muffled chirping)

  • Work this bird!

  • (more clapping)

  • So uhh, questionable efficiency there.

  • Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this video, found it helpful maybe?

  • Or...interesting.

  • And, yeah! I'll see you guys later

  • Bye!

I'm here at my mum's house with all my siblings
