  • Hey guys! So two months ago I made cheesecake and a chocolate cupcake

  • that had a ring inside it for Rachel on White Day.

  • And I got 9 points out of 10.

  • She's right there.

  • So today I'm here with an amazing cook from the super popular channel Mirlyfe,

  • Miranda Ibañez,

  • to help me get the ten points.

  • She's actually living in Japan. She has a channel Miranda in Japan,

  • so if you want to see her experiences here, please check out her channel.

  • All right. Let's do our best!

  • The recipe we're going to cook today is banana muffins with a filling inside.

  • It's a really simple recipe. A really small recipe.

  • I tried to make something really fancy last time.

  • Yeah, it was actually really cool!

  • Yeah but I got 9 points out of 10.

  • Yeah, what's happening with you, Rachel?

  • So we made it simple today.

  • Yeah, it's simple but it's really delicious.

  • Anyone can do it at home.

  • Let's do it!

  • Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 100 grams unsalted butter

  • Unsalted.

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • We need 3 smashes bananas.

  • They're already brown but it doesn't matter.

  • That's the way that we need it.

  • And we need one for decorating all the toppings.

  • And we don't know exactly the name of these things but

  • they're like paper cupcake holders.

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • Okay the first thing that we have to do is preheat our oven

  • at 175°C.

  • My English sucks, sorry.

  • It's already heated.

  • The first thing we have to do is mix the dry ingredients.

  • Flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • Yep, that's good.

  • We're going to put that aside.

  • And take the other bowl.

  • And we're going to put in our butter.

  • We're going to mix the butter and sugar.

  • You just have to spread it all around.

  • You do it.

  • You're the man, you have more muscle.

  • Ok, ok.

  • Now we're going to add one by one the eggs.

  • Now it's a really good time to use the mixer.

  • It's going to look like scrambled eggs.

  • I've never used that.

  • I don't know how you've come this far in your life without a mixer.

  • I know.

  • It's going to look like scrambled eggs.

  • Now add the other two eggs.

  • Oh, right.

  • But you have to keep mixing while you're adding the eggs.

  • Now we have to add the vanilla.

  • Okay, now we have to incorporate all of the dry ingredients.

  • An amount of flour, and then a little milk. Flour, milk, flour, milk.

  • Little by little? Yes.

  • But first we're going to add the smashed bananas.

  • Now here's another spoon. Put in 4 spoonfuls of flour.

  • And we're going to mix a little

  • And then we'll add a little milk.

  • Now a little bit of milk.

  • This much? Yes.

  • All the rest of the flour.

  • The rest of it? Yeah.

  • And the rest of the milk.

  • Ok.

  • And scrape the sides of the bowl again.

  • Mmm

  • It smells good.

  • You're gonna fill them, but you have to leave 1 cm from the top.

  • Ok.

  • So they look pretty and not just all like BLAGH.

  • 1 cm.

  • Okay. While Jun is doing that, you have to smash another banana for the mousse.

  • Okay now you take the whipping cream--it has to be really cold

  • Like extremely cold.

  • Put it in a bowl.

  • It takes like 20 minutes to do it by hand?

  • 15 minutes, yeah.

  • OMG...

  • We're going to put our cupcakes in the oven for 20 minutes.

  • I love this giant oven.

  • Yeah, me too.

  • Now to know if it's ready you just have to turn the bowl like this.

  • And nothing is gonna happen.

  • It's a cool trick to know if it's ready.

  • So now we have to take half of this

  • It's really thick.

  • Yeah it's super thick.

  • And now we just have to wait for the cupcakes.

  • To check it you just take a toothpick or a knife

  • and just go in the middle

  • and if it's completely clean, it's ready.

  • And here we have to wait for them to cool

  • because if we decorate them right now, everything's going to melt completely.

  • It's going to be worthless.

  • Now we're going to put the filling inside, but

  • you have to make a hole in every one of your cupcakes.

  • It's really easy.

  • You're going to take your knife and you're going to put it like this.

  • You're going to do it... doo doo doo doo all the way around.

  • You like my sound effects?

  • And take it out.

  • Now that they're cool enough we're going to put the filling inside.

  • Like that.

  • And now we can decorate it with all the things we have here.

  • Make it rainMake it rain

  • Banana cupcakes.

  • That's it! We have four of them.

  • We can eat the rest of them.

  • Okay, which one do you like the best?

  • Hmmm... they're so cute.

  • I wanna try this one.

  • This is so cute!

  • [DRUMROLL]

  • You can keep us waiting.

  • It's really good!

  • I give it a 10.

  • Really?!

  • YEAH! We did it, Jun!

  • Thank you so much, Miranda!

  • Rachel's like, "I like strawberries."

  • It took me what. Five years to get 10 points?

  • Thank you so much.

  • Oh you're welcome.

  • It's good.

  • I'm so happy now.

  • It's so good.

  • My White Day finally ends here today.

  • The next time maybe we can make a salty dish.

  • Yeah, yeah!

  • Okay.

  • Thanks, Miranda!.

  • You're welcome!

  • Thank you!

  • Bye!
