  • NARRATOR: In Bayou Sorrel, veteran swamper Willie Edwards

  • and his some Little Willie are facing

  • the unluckiest day of the year.

  • I got a little place I called the graveyard.

  • WILLIE EDWARDS: Like watching you.

  • LITTLE WILLIE: As far as all that bad luck and all that,

  • I ain't got time for that.

  • I don't believe in all that bad luck.

  • Oh, I believe in good luck now.

  • Bad luck, no.

  • Cut off your arm, it's an accident.

  • Or, like, it was a mistake.

  • If you believe in all that superstitious stuff

  • and bad luck, that means more bad stuff

  • is going to happen to you.

  • More bad luck is going to happen and everything,

  • and that's not the way to go.

  • I can't see nothing.

  • Oh!

  • Snake, snake.

  • I mean, that little bitty old snake,

  • he wasn't about maybe 12 inches, and he can take your life.

  • He got just as much venom as the big one got.

  • And trying to be careful with him,

  • and I don't want to get him hurt.

  • LITTLE WILLIE: Look at his yellow little tail.

  • Of them, and I was 9 years old,

  • and I could've lost my life.

  • For, like, two weeks, three weeks.

  • Don't want to get bit by one of them things.

  • And glad he got that lesson.

  • I know there's some big alligators here

  • in the graveyard.

  • LITTLE WILLIE: Right there, on the bank.

  • He's up there on the bank-- big one!

  • [suspenseful music]

  • [gunshot]

  • LITTLE WILLIE: You missed him.

  • [gunshot]

  • LITTLE WILLIE: That line's going to pop.

  • That gator's coming alive.

  • Watch out.

  • He's still alive.

  • Right there.

  • Right there.

  • Daggone!

  • [gunshots]

  • [inaudible]

  • Woo!

  • It was a close call on that one.

  • I mean, it was real close.

  • That thing right there, he knock you down on top,

  • and he going to bite you.

  • And that thing bite you, he can hurt you.

  • He can break bones and when he crushes you,

  • it won't mean anything, whatever he grabs.

  • LITTLE WILLIE: Thing's huge-- that's a brute right here.

  • NARRATOR: At well over 11 feet, this big bull

  • breaks the bad-luck streak that Willie and Little

  • Willie have been on all day.

  • Yeah, you can end up with good luck on Friday the 13th.

  • I mean, you just gotta have patience and stick

  • around a little while.

  • Something's going to pop up.

  • Yeah, we finally caught the real graveyard gator.

  • LITTLE WILLIE: That's what I'm talking about.
