  • because the current mayor is not in touch with his own transportation system, and he's trying to use fines from citizens to pay for the black hole in his TfL again, this is just even hard to believe that it's happening, and that's why we need a business person in charge again.

  • My plan is to run TfL like a business, not like a charity.

  • We can run it as a property.

  • As sorry as a at a profit is what we can do.

  • We start with the property 5700 acres of land that are owned by TfL the size of the borough of Camden.

  • We separated out into a Development Corp and we build affordable homes on that land.

  • We build commercial properties on that land.

  • We build great retail on that land, and we use those funds to pay for TfL expansion.

  • The next thing I'm gonna do is introduce something called an infrastructure levy.

  • This is an incredible, innovative idea that's never been considered because again, a business person has not been in charge.

  • Said he could never consider of an idea like the infrastructure levy, and it simply is this.

  • TfL puts billions of pounds of investment into extending the transport network.

  • These extended lines create tens of billions of pounds of value for corporate developers.

  • For people who build apartments and build businesses and build infrastructure, they are all empowered by the TfL.

  • And yet the TfL sees zero of those profits and those gains and currently runs into bankruptcy.

  • What an infrastructure levy does is this.

  • It charges a small tax on proposing a 2% tax of any increase in value based on what the TfL does.

  • So if they create a Jubilee line extension and it creates $25 billion pounds worth of value in Canary Wharf, then the TfL gets to see a percentage of that.

  • This will change the game, and we won't have to go after citizens and tax them with these ridiculous L.

  • T.

  • N s and these obtrusive and regressive congestion charges.

  • Again, I have costed all of this down to the pound.

  • So this is my plan for the future.

  • But it needs new ideas, new leadership, and this will not be born of the two party system.

  • We've seen that they cannot figure it out.

  • They politic back and forth.

  • Meanwhile, the citizens of London pay with our hard earned money, and we pay with our future myself.

  • What?

  • What?

  • What?

  • One more word.

  • My mom.

  • Four for my wife.

  • Yeah.

  • Uh huh.
