  • tell me about you.

  • I mean, you know, you look pretty good, Jeff.

  • Um, what's your daily routines?

  • I know you've got a black belt Martial arts.

  • Maybe you can talk about that a little bit.

  • Um, you know, my my daily habits have improved probably exponentially in the past six years since I've been doing the show because I've had some pretty cool minds on here.

  • And when I sit down with him, I take a little bit of I p here, a little bit of I p there, and I'm I'm healthier and stronger now than I was 10 years ago.

  • And I know because I I do the same workout that includes, like, 130 Burpees and a shadow boxing routine.

  • And I can actually do more than I could when I'm 40 which is fascinating.

  • But I've done a lot of changes to my lifestyle as well, so I don't know.

  • Tell me.

  • Tell me about you.

  • How do you view that whole equation?

  • Well, first of all, that's amazing.

  • I mean, you clearly had that mindset that even as you age, you actually can do more.

  • And it's absolutely true.

  • Ah, I earned my third degree black belt in showed a con, uh, karate back in 2000 and 16.

  • And so I was still living and working in in Tokyo and training under one of the world's greatest masters, which was truly a privilege that I had.

  • While it was the hardest part about me leaving Tokyo, actually leaving Japan was really having to move away from my dojo.

  • Yeah, you know, it's an amazing art.

  • Uh, that's incredible for not just your well being, your physical well being, but also your mental well being.

  • It's a very peaceful place to be, and I have found it to be eventually meaningful to me in my life again, not just for my physical health, but for my my mental health.

  • Uh, you know, when I think start to finish, I'm an early riser.

  • You know, it's not unusual for me to start my day working and researching at four AM and absolutely by 5 a.m. Every day, and by the time one o'clock rolls around, I've typically put in eight, sometimes nine hours of of work in I eat very healthy breakfasts.

  • My diet is gluten free.

  • It is entirely dairy free and I consumed no animal proteins, which is hard.

  • So I only eat fresh, wild seafood with my diet, and I take a series of healthy supplements every day.

  • You know, my breakfasts are vegetables.

  • A little bit of smoked salmon, Uh, and, uh, you know, to eggs and some coconut yogurt.

  • And that's typically what I eat.

  • Um, I have supplements morning and night that are a lot of the usual suspects.

  • I try and sleep well, obviously.

  • Um, but, you know, six or seven hours a night is absolutely more than enough for me, and I also have a very regular exercise routine, so I tend to do cardiovascular exercise.

  • My favorite is rolling because it uses about 86% of the muscles in your body.

  • And I'll do that, you know, three days a week.

  • And then I'll intermittent intermittently use, um, kettlebells on off days, which I found to be just great functional strength training exercises.

  • Definitely get your heart rate up and down with good variability, and it keeps your muscles strong.

  • One of the biggest mistake.

  • And by the way, I've got a few years on you, Brian, really.

  • But it's one of The biggest mistakes that we make when we age is we let our muscle mass decrease, which is very dangerous.

  • It's it's It's a spiral that just gets worse in time.

  • And so, which is why just having a cardiovascular exercise is not enough.

  • We have to engage in strength training every week to make sure that at least our muscle mass stays the same and hopefully it gets a little bit stronger.

  • A little bit denser muscle mass.

  • It definitely improves our overall quality of life.

  • Why would one word Yeah.

  • Wow, for more work.

  • Yeah, mhm.
