  • Let me ask you a quick question.

  • What's the fastest way to get one of the biggest cities in the world out of the worst recession in 300 years?

  • Do you think it's to maybe increase taxes by 10%?

  • Well, you would be wrong in saying that we should, but yet that is what the current mayor of London decided to do last week.

  • And you don't have to be a professor of economics at M.

  • I.

  • T.

  • Where I actually happen to study some economics to realize that that's the worst thing you can do.

  • And it's a regressive tax, as in the mayor's latest 10% increase in council taxes hurts the lowest income people even more than anyone else.

  • That also is the same for his increase in the congestion charge and his expansion of the congestion charge and the Eula Zone.

  • But he's doing it anyways, and he said, Don't worry, Londoners, every penny will go to make London safe, make London safe.

  • You just recorded your 1/100 teenager that's been murdered on the street.

  • He also said it would go towards your transport for London Network, which has gone bankrupt nearly twice under his reign.

  • And I think it was one of the Assembly members that said that the mayor could have saved £100 million by scrapping his recent statue toppling committee by cutting his own personal PR budget and by reforming the TfL.

  • And yet he decided instead to increase your council tax rates.

  • This is what you get when you have someone in charge who, quite frankly, doesn't know what he is doing.

  • What we need to do is put a business person in charge and I have a plan to take this road map the Prime Minister has given us, which is a great start.

  • But it doesn't mean we're gonna get an economic expansion.

  • We've got to have someone at the helm that can make the right decisions for business.

  • I am that person.

  • I had 30 years business experience and industries from automotive aerospace to Wall Street to the city of London to new media and digital education.

  • And not only can I use this road map, but I can proactively make sure that London becomes what I call the center of the world that we can grab all of the market share of tourism.

  • All of the market share for finance and all of the businesses out there to be held by the city with the first mover advantage that can get back to work, the safest and the fastest.

  • I have that plan.

  • The current mayor of London.

  • His plan is to raise your taxes.

  • That's his way out of the biggest recession in 300 years.

  • Leave your comments below.

  • Do you think the solution is to raise your taxes?

  • Or do you think the solution is to be proactive on how to get London back to work?

  • Something I've been talking about for six months and something I'm super excited to implement as your next mayor of London?

  • So leave your comments below.

  • I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Let's get London back to work.

  • Let's make London the center of the world.

  • I know we can do it.

  • Let's be proactive.

  • Let's put a business person in charge and let's not cut taxes, raise taxes.

  • What the mayor is doing.

  • Let's not do that.

  • That's the biggest mistake.

  • Let's move forward and get London back to work.
