  • This is a big day for you.

  • Your movie "To All the Boys: Always and Forever"

  • premiered on Netflix today.

  • Do you have any plans to celebrate

  • in some way or anything?

  • -Ah! I've been in denial.

  • I'm like, "Oh, my God. It's actually Friday.

  • It's out, it's out, it's out!"

  • Well, my plans are --

  • My parents, they're going to come,

  • and we're going to just watch it,

  • me, Anthony, and my parents.

  • -Oh, also, I know you have someone special in your life.

  • You just told me, but Valentine's Day --

  • do you have plans for Valentine's Day?

  • -I mentioned to Anthony -- His name's Anthony.

  • I mentioned to Anthony the other day,

  • I was like, "Hey, babe. Like, it's kind of cute.

  • Like, Valentine's Day's coming up really soon,

  • like this weekend."

  • And he truly --

  • -Forgot. -Truly did not remember.

  • There was nothing there.

  • He was like.

  • "Uh...

  • Oh, no, no, no."

  • -"Uh, uh, yeah, of course, yes, of course we're doing that."

  • -So, yeah. So, when you asked me if I have plans,

  • I feel probably like no.

  • -Okay, if he's watching or can hear you in the house,

  • yeah, he's got to get it together.

  • You got to figure out something fun for this Sunday.

  • It is Sunday.

  • -I even told him, I was like,

  • "I got you your Valentine's gift already."

  • -Yeah, see, my wife will say --

  • Like, we'll say, "Hey, no gifts,"

  • and then she was like, "Well, I got you a couple gifts."

  • I go, "No, but I thought we said no gifts.

  • That was the thing."

  • -No, you always have to give a gift.

  • You always -- Even -- Listen here. Listen here.

  • Even if they say no, you must.

  • You must. -You must. You have to.

  • Just have to. I totally agree with you,

  • by the way. Yes.

  • Well, I want to also -- I want to talk about the movie,

  • but I also want to talk about, it was just announced

  • that you're going to star and executive-produce

  • a new TV series for Netflix.

  • Congrats. It is very awesome.

  • Can you just tell me the title?

  • -The title of the new show is called "Boo, Bitch."

  • -Okay. [ Clears throat ]

  • What is -- What is -- What is "Boo, Bitch" about?

  • -Sorry, want to ask that one more time?

  • -[ Laughs ]

  • What -- What is -- What is the premise of "Boo, Bitch"?

  • [ Both laugh ]

  • -This is my favorite thing to do!

  • My team hates the fact that I force --

  • Like, my lawyer called me one day, and he was like,

  • "Lana, the fact that you are forcing me

  • to keep saying, 'Boo, Bitch,'

  • to all -- like as we're negotiating --"

  • Basically, literally, my whole team is like, "Lana, no."

  • But it this awesome --

  • She's a senior senior in high school.

  • She's ready to go take her life by storm.

  • She's about to go out and live her life.

  • And then right when she makes the decision

  • to slowly just step out and be who she wants to be,

  • she gets murdered and becomes a ghost.

  • And so it's going to be this awesome, like, raunchy,

  • really funny, really funny show that I'm really proud of.

  • And we've been working on it for the past --

  • for all of quarantine, so --

  • -"Boo, Bitch" is the best name.

  • Oh, my gosh.

  • -When we were pitching it to Netflix,

  • the end of our pitch, we put the song...

  • -Move. -Move, bitch, get out the way.

  • -Get out the way. -Get out the way.

  • -Of course, of course. You have to.

  • Oh, my gosh. Brilliant.

  • Now let's talk about your movie "To All the Boys:

  • Always and Forever." This is the third,

  • this is the final film in the blockbuster franchise.

  • How are you feeling as it came out today?

  • -I --

  • I feel a lot of things. Like, I --

  • -Yeah.

  • -These movies have given me so many opportunities

  • that I never in a million years thought I would get,

  • including the first time I was on your show.

  • Like, I -- And the reason I was on your show

  • is because of this -- the first movie.

  • So it's like -- And I remember being like,

  • "Oh, my God. How did I get here?

  • I'm on his show. I'm on his show."

  • And now I just --

  • My heart is like --

  • It feels -- There's a line in the movie where it says,

  • "I never knew that I could feel this sad

  • and this happy at the same time."

  • And that is exactly how I feel.

  • -It's beautiful. I'm psyched for you. Congrats.

  • Do you want to describe for anyone what's happening

  • in this final movie and with your character?

  • -Sure. So, in the final film, it is about their senior year.

  • They're trying to figure out

  • which colleges they want to go to.

  • We definitely have way more

  • of the rest of the cast in this film.

  • And so it feels just fully like the community is much bigger.

  • And they're trying to figure out what they want to do

  • in the future.

  • And Lara Jean is finally deciding

  • not between relationships and boys,

  • but she's deciding for what she wants to do with her life

  • and making choices that, you know, come from the heart.

  • And she wants to -- She wants to experience this whole world,

  • whether or not maybe the relationship will come with her.

  • So it's just this really very --

  • For me, I really love to see Lara Jean kind of end this way.

  • It feels very aligned with me leaving the franchise

  • and going out and trying new things.

  • So I'm really excited for people to see it.

  • -I'm so happy that it's out, and I'm happy for you,

  • and I'm happy for the next things

  • that you'll come on our show and talk about.
